Try investing in a couple of entry level customs, theyre insane for sound profile over pre-builds. Only suggesting it because you’ve already invested in quite a few that are the same price point as a few good customs. Like a neo-ergo.

@@BenPuckett i love 3ildcat and a ton of other keeb creators. My collection isnt anything huge, just a bauer lite, windx98, qk65 and this ones probably my endgame atm, an Owlab Spring, with GMK Striker 2.

39:40 My fiance and I both have Corsair K100 RGB keyboards, we love them. I'm SUPER picky when it comes to keyboards and ESPECIALLY my computer mouse, and it's suited me well for about a year now.
That thin keyboard is called a Chiclet style keyboard. Its usually a type of membrane switch board. The other boards are all mechanical of various switch types. You should follow this up with a keyboard build of your own. I reccomend keychron keyboards as an amazing jumping off point and you can get exactly what you're hoping for.
NuPhy makes some excellent low profile switches too if you're into that

Fred I know you like the gamer keyboards, but have you ever thought about building a proper custom board? No clicky switch rgb razor is ever going to give you the creamy thock of some carefully lubricated gateron smoothies on a polycarbonate plate with some double-shot pbt keycaps. There’s a whole tier of keyboard ASMR that awaits you.

@@Cristina-dv5ij Yeah the keyboard hobby goes pretty deep. From simply getting a hotswap (meaning you can swap the switches without needing to de-solder and solder the motherboard), to building it from scratch and selecting all the pieces individually. A good entry to the hobby right now is browsing Keychron and seeing the offers avaliable. Most of their keybards already come with everything ready, then you can choose to add switches and keycaps for like +10/20€ or get your own switches and keycaps.

Agreed, custom keyboards or even pre-built customs like Keychron are an ASMR enthusiasts dream.... It's honestly what got me into AMSR int the first place LOL....

If youre looking to get into the custom keyboard hobby, Keychron is a good brand to start with, since they arent too expensive (60€-200€) and the hard part is already done by them and you need only select switches and keycaps (or, get the default switches and keycaps for a cheap additional price).

i much prefer wired peripherals compared to wireless. uncommon opinion idk. i just dont like having to deal with a battery that could just commit toaster bath at any time.

Choosing gaming keyboards for their sound profile is crazy. Would definitely recommend looking at enthusiast boards instead.
This was great! Thanks Fred! Definitely would recommend some entry level premium customizable keyboards next time. For instance, check out Ducky, and I currently use a Keychron Q5 QMK. The feeling and and weight of using an aluminum keyboard just feels right for me so try one out!😊 All the best, keep making great content!

All of these keyboards are kinda bad, you can get wayyy better keyboards for the same prices if you buy from specialty brands and not Logitech and co.

Logitech has software issues. I once destroyed a Razer mouse out of frustration. I once destroyed a Corsair keyboard out of frustration. I currently use a blackweb keyboard and logitech mouse. IDFK. 😮

Fred i have been watching you for quite a few years now i think 5+ years now and you are not only my favorite asmr artist. You are also one of my favorite youtubers your so down to earth and such a a good roll model your always upbeat and joyful which the world needs more people like you more then ever. I am genuinely curious how many keyboards you actually have in told now to would make a great lighting fast video all of your keyboards even for 5-10 seconds of sound your lighting fast videos are always incredibly tingle inducing.

Doubt you read this, but have you ever looking into building your own keyboard? It's a kinda niche thing to do but you can really get some nice sounds when you start to pick out switches and how they can pair with certain key caps
