      All the club makers on the shelves and even some DTC brands have been way too comfortable overpricing their clubs 5x or more their BOM cost. Sure, they have to slap on some extra on it for R&D, sponsorships and the pro shop, but current prices are just ridiculous.

    I am a Chinese and I used to contact the sellers of these Golf clubs. To be honest these clubs are really made in legit factories with nice machines, and the workers are very experienced. Essentially golf clubs are just a peice of metal and it is the designing and advertising parts that cost the most, the actual manufacture is quite cheap. Factorises sell those TEMU clubs in China at a even lower price. From my perspective it is better to buy Chinese Iron/Wedges head only and pair them with authentic shafts. Some CNC putters are also great deals. But do not buy fake drivers they are crap.

    • @RoluGolf

      That's a very good point -- maybe I need to revisit this video one day and give Temu irons/wedges a proper chance. Thanks for the insight

    • @LTR1420
      @LTR1420 28 дней назад +4

      "Just a piece of metal" lol. I'm sorry, but that's just ignorant. I'm a machinist. Material cost is majority of manufacture cost. These clubs may perform similar off the shelf, but give it a year or less. They will probably cave in or snap.

    • @Ronniexu-tp5ir
      @Ronniexu-tp5ir 27 дней назад

      @@LTR1420 Thank you and please forgive me i am not a professional. These ideas are just based on my personal experiences. One of the fake club manufacturers told me they use S20C for their Miura replica, which is the same kind of metal that miura uses. However they might be telling lies and I can't make comment on their durability. Although I chose genuine P770 irons, I still think those replicas are good deals for beginners as they will look for better clubs when they are getting serious and they can enjoy the nice feeling of best irons on the market at a low price.

    • @LTR1420
      @LTR1420 27 дней назад

      @Ronniexu-tp5ir no worries. If they actually do use the same metal, they probably don't heat treat them, and I can gurantee their forging process is nonexistent. It wouldn't be a bad option for a beginner, but I would recommend a set of irons that are a few years old from a reputable manufacturer. The golf club market is so oversaturated with "new" clubs every year that aren't a significant improvement over clubs that came out 5-10 years ago. You can build a solid bag of clubs with old equipment that came out over the past decade.

    1、Basically, you could just remove "golf" in the title. The same circumstances apply to all kinds of products.
    2、It's good to be concerned about the working environment issues of Chinese factories. But please remember, genuine products from other big brands are also made in those kinds of factories. Not just golf, not just TEMU.

If you want to buy cheaper clubs thats fine, but don't pretend they are the same clubs.

    I hate to say it but golf equipment is way too expensive. I see why it’s bad for innovation in the golf world because legit companies won’t be able to make money on research and testing but the consumer is gonna want to pay less for things, such as golf clubs. So this whole situation is a double edged sword.
