I've heard from UCLA students that Hendrick summit is the best dorm building. She has a suite and has her own single room. This is my senior year and I'm trying to figure out were I'm trying to apply and if its possible for me to get a single room in a suite.
The golden fact is that it depends on your budget. I didn't pick the best, I picked what allowed me to borrow the least. I feel like some alumni claiming they are drowning in student debt didn't make any sacrifices. Like those getting the 19P meal plan - by quarter's end they had a ton of extra meals so they just exchanged a meal for a Starbucks or 2 gatorades. Such a waste of money. I got the 14P and grabbed fruit from the hall to eat when I ran out of meals.

There are kitchens in on campus apartments and suites I believe. They are the priciest forms of housing. But hey, UCLA has amazing dining hall food!
