I liked this movie better when it was called Hard Target and Van Damm-it was the prey...Bishop was hunting him with his side kick, Imhotep, while Diabeetus Brimley shot arrows at them and with Witchblade in tow.... And it was a John Woo film...so that made it a real Dove of a movie...

I absolutely love this movie. An apartment complex I lived at in the early 2000's had a small movie library you could check movies out from. This and Mean Guns were two of my favorites out of that library and I checked them out many times each. Glad I get to see you reactions to it now all these years later.
The older guy with the goatee, ponytail, bandana and earring is mfking Rutger Hauer! Almost didn't recognize him holy shit; from such masterpieces as Hobo with a Shotgun, Wanted: Dead or Alive... oh and Blade Runner I guess.
Glad you were able to watch this bit of 90's cheese! I remember watching it on late night TV and enjoying the combo of Ice T, Rutger Hauer, Garey Busey and Charles Dutton. A good mix of the usual players and decent action with over the top acting!

I laughed out loud at Erin's facial reactions at the animal scenes. Also, the score is composed by Stewart Copeland (formerly of The Police), which explains the colorful score.
I looked after Sam for a week when we gave him the Jess Franco Lifetime Achievement Award at our Bad Movie Festival, Cutrecon. He is one of the nicest guys on the planet. He stayed for every single film and laughed his ass off. Watching one of the trailers we showed, he was howling, turned to me and said "I need to know the name of this film! I have to see it!" And I replied "The film is Cyborg Cop 2, from 1995, and, er, you directed it". And he goes "Oh yeah, I forgot! It's soooo shit, hahahaha!"

One of the best straight to video classics ever. Endless lines and brilliant over the top performances from all. This film was a big part of my teens and me and mates likes nothing better than sticking this VHS in and laughing our arses off. It’s better than Hard Target.

thing i remember most about this movie was when i seen it in the theater and during the scene where the quad blows up with the dutton dummy on it, the way that dummy blew up had my laughing in tears for the next 30 mins and everyone around me was pissed off at me but i couldnt help it.
I Googled formaldehyde. It's extremely flammable, but only explosive when mixed with air. Films never do explosions realistically so I don't think the makers of STG can really be criticised for their exploding liquid formaldehyde.
Pretty sure 'Ricochet' (an early Denzel classic with a great Jon Lithgow playing the bad guy) came before this and Ice-T basically played a version of himself in that movie...
