Now that I think about it, this would have been perfect for MTV. Like if he was always this character he could have had his own show before Ozzy. Not to say Ozzy's wasn't good I grew up on the Osbournes, but this is exactly what MTV was looking for at that time.
I remember seeing this 10 years ago thinking: wow, $3,500 for a Strat! Yngwie must be crazy. That guitar is probably worth about $40,000 now. You can't even get a good Custom Shop for $3,500 now. If nothing else, Yngwie is a genius investor.
After seeing this vid, whenever I buy a new guitar and im handing my card to the sales guy, I always say "the cards here Dave" with and English accent.
Dont know if u realise but He was soon blown out of the park by guys like Nuno, and Imo both Marty and Jasons solo guitar albums are better then Yngwies, Main reason i put Yngwie so high up is because of his classical training and how well he can perform with an Orchestra.
@@jye_24 Yngwie started the whole "Neo-Classical" rock/metal style that Marty Friedman and Jason Becker emulated, and which inspired those Cacophony albums etc... Nuno Bettercourt didn't blow Yngwie "out of the park" - he had his own style, but Malmsteen is still as good today as he was in the 1980's, brilliant alternate picking that is just as fast and clean as anything by Nuno Betterncourt, Marty Friedman, or Jason Becker. Of course, he's no Shawn Lane or Allan Holdsworth! But that's entirely different style and approach all together.
Finally, someone said it. Bon Jovi is nothing but an Yngwie clone. Literally. No original sound or look. At least he plays the guitar just as well in terms of technique
Another fact, the cut the video short. In the original he’s driving alone discussing his decisions to go a different route then Joe. I would like to see that video again.

The Art of the Deal by Yngwie Malmsteen
hahahahaha. at least he got it flat, with no taxes!
PURE DEMONSTRATION THE TONE IS IN YOUR HANDS
Exactly. The '63 wasn't even plugged in for that shredding..
not really, tone was rather crap in fact

Thats a shining example of a long term investment.
Dohn put nuh fuhkin tax on there
If somebody name has been to the Rock n Roll Hall of Fame like Yngwie. Yes he's the Best!
the case was empty he'd left the guitar in the shop for them to fit strap locks
he plays so tasty in guitar store lol
Is that J E Lee working in the shop, can't believe he wanted it cheaper his surely got mullions?? Is the store in London sure I've been there
The shop is - Andy's Guitar Workshop, WC2 London. It's not there anymore. It was me selling the guitar.
It was $6,000 in u.s.dollars.
He was such a bastard in those days haha! I'm glad to see he has mellowed out these days, less cocaine and booze I'm sure!
He had threw a fender
Yngwie is one of my favourite guitar players of all time, but man…..he’s such a jerk here.
He sounded drunk (played like he was as well)
How?
@@TomChopperGuitar Did you watch the video?
He's always a jerk.
Technically he's brilliant, no doubt. I just find him and his music incredibly boring.

1:52 It came out to the equivalent of $6000. The 3500 was probably in British Pounds, which with the exchange rate at the time came out to 6000 USD.
According to the luthier of the time of yngwie he was anarchic!!lol You will find his comment on another youtube video.
I guarantee you Yngwie has made money investing in things that have nothing to do with music.
@@GuitarGangsterArmi Like a Sammy Hagar?
His collection of Ferraris alone would keep him living comfortably
I love how he chucks the guitar into the car like it was firewood.
yngwie got more than 150 strats or so :-)
And then he hits a dab XD
@74 torino really?
Probably an empty case only for making the video
unreal. 2:06 i think he breaks the door glass right when the case hits LOL
My Favorite Line from Yngwie is @ 0:34 " My Middle Name is Where the F'ck is My Guitar Pick."
imagine when he gets on stage and the announcer goes:
ladies and gentlemen, YNGWIE "WHERE THE F#CK IS MY GUITAR PICK" MALMSTEEN!!!!!!"

0:11 this is Bon Jovi , jajajaja xD
HAHHAH Omg i didnt realise until you commented it xD
Who is helping Yngwie in the store? Is he not Jimmy Page?
Damn, Bon Jovi can shred.
Yngwie isn’t doing a vibrato. He’s merely struggling trying to lift his heavy left hand that is dominated by pounds of watches and jewelry.
He is literally the most rock and roll dude ever.
He never played rocknroll
Yngwie buying a vintage Strat , love this 🤣👍🏻🎸 ...... “ Don’t put any F••CKING TAX on it ! “ - Yngwie Malmteen 🤣🤣🤣
0:48 Is this phrase from some song? I like it
This is such a funny comedy short, but it's probably what Malmsteen does all the time
1:18 his mocking imitation is just hilarious 😆
Awesome to see this. Doesn’t matter what anyone says, he is the last guitar god that will ever be, from a world of 6 strings that will never be again.
