I love your videos. Very practical and informative. I’m looking forward to co2 laser review. That’s my next step but want to make the best use of my money. Not necessarily the cheapest option but the best for the money. I got the first 10w xtool. Great matching to get started. I’ve learned a lot from using it. Trial and error-best teacher. Your videos guided me through this whole process. (I know u don’t like xtool but didn’t know that before I purchased). But your videos still help me with a laser you never demo. The process is still the same. Great job!! CO2. Much bigger investment for a side job/hobby. Trying to decide if worth the expense and I hope to do a better job picking a great machine before I buy this time.
Thanks for another great video Rich. Please keep making review videos, they helped me settle on purchasing the Ortur Laser Master 3. This was based on your reviews and that of Caitlin and her YT channel Honey Badger Woodworking. I am steadily working through all your videos and referring back to them to reinforce my learning. A huge THANK YOU.
Excellent video Rich. It is apparent that Lightburn is a very powerful program. As a heavy CAD user, it's good to see that Lightburn has spline tools (which are what the node edit tools are providing); that, and the array and Boolean tools really provide a powerful capability to construct just about anything one could want. I'm pretty sure that one could design involute gears in Lightburn, but, other than as a useful learning exercise, don't see why one would do so when there are so may gear generators out there. Really appreciate these videos as they are very helpful to those of us getting up to speed on this software tool. Thanks for the time and effort you are putting into these.
Even I f you’re not really interested in the two layer project as presented, just the information about the Lightburn “tricks” that you demonstrated is very informative.
I watch all your videos including the reviews. I think there is only one video going back through them all that I may not have watched right through. Many I have watched numerous times. Love your videos. As I’m getting my channel going again I hope I can have a nice delivery style similar to you. You are very easy to listen to 👍
@@TheLouisianaHobbyGuy thanks. I need all the help I can get. I’m hoping to start setting up my new laser today and that will add to market work and RUclips content. Once I start laser content will definitely give a plug and your forum

That was a great video Rich, thank you, the step by step will help me no end and covered something I was actually thinking about with Christmas around the corner. You mentioned during the video 'trace' is that where i could use my own image and convert it to be able to be burned? if so have you done a video on that as well? Thank you again.
@@TheLouisianaHobbyGuy Hi Rich, i've watched 3 times now the 101 as suggested and there is no mention of 'trace' what i'm trying to learn is how for example I can burn an image that i currently have as an image. Dog for instance.
@@bigbadstig Did you find your answer about tracing? If not, this is a video in which Rich covers tracing. I suggest you watch all of it, but if not, his tracing starts at about 2 minutes 15 secs into the "Node Editing and Sketch Tutorial".
@@hefalump56 Thanks for responding, in answer to your question, no i've not found the answer. You have not sent me a link to the video you refer to though. Thank you
How can I make your snowflake ornaments thicker so I can put a larger hole for the ribbon to put it on the tree? I’m sure it is simple but I’ve not found the answer yet
Great tutorial. I am curious though, could you do the same thing without cutting two pieces? In other words, fill the tree, but not the inner outline, and maybe it could be one piece? Maybe even add green powder coat?
An excellent one Rich, thanks. The old girl learned two new things in LB today. 😊
Glad you enjoyed it Maria!
First time here. I am so impressed with all your clear instructions. Hats off to you 🎉
Thanks and welcome!

You can weld a new loop to the top Sandy.

That would be a lot of time on the laser Derek.
@@TheLouisianaHobbyGuy , thanks for the practical tip! Makes sense though. You may have saved my machine many hours of labor.
ADD two more sides at 90 deg. with tabs and holes. Some trial and error fitting required during design by overlaying like he did.
I like it just the way it is Richard, but thanks for the tips!
Nice.
Thanks Steve!
i see a lot of sheet goods in the back ground, where do you buy yours?
It depends on the wood and the price. I have several suppliers. A family lumber yard, a cabinet maker, Lowe's, a door company, etc.
👍👍👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻
I love the review videos
Glad you like them Lonnie! The next one's for you! 😎
Any chance that Canadians can be winners too in the raffles? We are closer than the EU.
Yeah, but the tariffs & customs fees are out of sight! Sorry, but nobody wants to ship to Canada, but you probably already know that.
