It's the difference between getting a dunk off too. Forwards with high speed and agility and low strength get dunks off. Also pick n roll is split second quick equals better box out positioning. I don't think full court speed tests r as helpful as role playing application. Such as testing speed for guards out of a speed Boost and measuring that. Testing forwards out of a pick n roll and measure that. Just my thoughts anyways

The main problem is and always will be that it's an animation based game instead of engine based. Also, badges are a terrible concept. It's a lazy, yet counterintuitive way to not add more attribute types. 2K, while they have been making strides towards realism, also always play into what hypebeast cheesers want. it's like their little fetish. thats why they hide shit like quick drops off one and steve francis crossover behind rep levels.

When I'm getting out boxed, rebounded and dunked on by a 7ft with 50 strength because they've found a loop hole build it's so frustrating, and on the other hand I'm out rebounding and dunking on a 96 strength, 84 ID, ilat that point I just count myself lucky that game tbh. I think each role should have unique badges for their roles so it encourages more team play vrs ISO builds which makes the game so unrealistic and encourages greedy ball hoggers and I usually quit those games and I'm the one that gets penalised with a 30min ban?? Yeah nah! E.g PG are the only build that can access certain handle specials and take overs Animations are all over the place. Certain bases even tho less stats give you better consistent animations which is loop holed. I dunno, there just a lot of fundamental things they haven't got right as they're putting focus on new tech and gameplay etc when they haven't mastered the fundamentals

They matter most when your put up against an opponent, then the algorithms kick in, and it determines which moves / animations are going to happen. Online play has been broken since it came out. Idk why people are confused about the inconsistencies. I strictly play SP. I don't have these ridiculous inconsistencies I keep hearing about especially in rebounding and shooting, that's all latency. It's just exaggerated this year because of the computations the game has to do with 10,000 new animations. Funny how ppl don't understand the way the internet works
Somebody who strictly plays single player 2k in 2024 is giving us a lecture about online play lol. It's not the "internet" it's the company and devs. They invite people out to give feedback prior to launch and don't listen to them. Half the badges don't work properly, so they either patch it to the dirt or completely break it,, motion style animations make people with 5, 6, etc. speed more than the next person run slower. It's not latency, it's the actual game. Even the shooting, it's literally RNG lmfao.
I think the problem of attribute upgrades not doing much comes back to VC pricing. We wouldn't mind a +1 upgrade not doing much if we could get 5 with the VC we get from one game. Instead it's more like saving up for 5 games just to get one +1 upgrade at higher attribute levels
Interesting. I have a 6"6 sf with 83 3 and 89 mid and a 6"3 pg with 84 mid 94 three and I can green spot ups way more consistently with the sf which makes no sense at all. My sf jumpshot is also somehow faster than my pg jumpshot.
Like tutes said. It's a game of inches. Being a single step ahead of your defender is the difference between you blowing by them or getting walled up. Look at the shooting. If you're 30% from 3 you're average. Bump that number up by just 10% and you're elite with the likes of Steph Curry. Athletes are so physically peaked out that just the slightest set of advantages makes the difference between you being a bench player or an all-star. Same goes for 2k.
The patch notes mentioned a weighted average for success rates on layups a few patches ago. Wouldn't that mean that they probably applied this to multiple areas making the individual attributes seem worthless but the combination of attributes really making the noticable difference?
It’s the badges that matter you can have a 99 attribute but if that badge is bronze you don’t have the favourable animations with that badge, this is the problem for paying for your build to a 99 overall it allows you to unlock the badges but if you were to grind the badges (I know god forbid) you’d notice as you also grind the attributes but the game is not fun enough to have this as an option it’s a marketing ploy they know what they are doing

80/84 dunk with 65 vert has been better for me than 89 dunk with 80 vert lmao. Legit dunk on people 8/10 times when going up with the lower dunk, but maybe twice out of 10 with the 89 dunk lmao.
With speed they need to add a system to show momentum irl you will not be able to run as fast in the half court as in full court but also it would also feed into strength if you make a fast strong player, with momentum in the game you will actually notice a difference between speed and strength levels. In the 2k we have now if you run all the way down to the court and bump into and player standing still that player will completely stop you dead in your tracks that needs to be taken out

The problem is….2k fixes something…..and then hot fixes it back to what it was before. So we’re told something is fixed…..but their egos are so out of control that they think nothing with their game needs fixed. So they revert it back without saying anything. Lane steals are still broken…..but for less than a week it wasn’t. Same with steals after rebounds. Same with running out of bounds randomly with the ball. It’s always reverted.

Can you test layup packages? See which ones are best for each type of layup. For example harden has a good euro step but a shitty pro hop. Fox has good euro and pro hop
People don’t realise that the difference between an NBA player and let’s say a Euroleague player is maybe 1% speaking exponentially over a long period of time if someone does the same things everyday, 1% better, then the gap will widen over time.

I notice that too many players go for the steal right from the inbound. They have lost an adrenaline bar and are already at a disadvantage. Pass the inbound player back the ball if possible .

I did some before but I only do build videos for my actual build (build that I played a lot of games). As a stat-based channel, for me personally, build videos are super sensitive topic that I would only do it if the build is fully tested. I'm a one man army so I can't really create a lot of builds and play them. My vision on the channel is to explain every element of build creation then let you guys decide on what do you want on your build. In that way, you can craft your own build as you want. Thanks for the love.
Builds are very dependent on each pkayer's play style and skillset. A good build for one person could be a trash build to someone else so there's too many variables to account for. It's better to just have all the information you can gather for every attribute and badge so you can try to customize your own build that fits you specifically.
I have a lock with 97 perimeter all HOF badges and some legend with the plus 1 and plus 2 and I have a SG with gold perimeter badges and seems pretty much the same I don’t stop players any more in my lock buold than my SG shooting build ?…. I was always thinking that
I got a video idea for you tutes. I was going through my layup animations and saw that some animations have different attribute level requirements. Can you test if the higher attribute layup packages/dunk packages get better contact make percentages than the lower ones?? 😁
Speed with ball matters a ton because of lightning launch levels + dribble styles not because of the attribute itself, same as all the other atrributes
Bail out badge is use less they let anybody pass out of shots in this game on my center I have a 65 pass acc and I can pass out of shots you would think with no badge realistically it should be a turnover ever time but nah I pass out of shots at a decent rate which is stupid because my pass acc is low and I don't get the badge

3pt rating definitely matters. I have 2 6'10 PF, one 80 3pt and one 86 3pt, and it's way easier to green on the higher rating. Badges are the same

Can you do a test on how much boost lethal zones actually give you. Sometimes it feels like I shoot worse in my lethal zones than my hot zones.

You shouldn’t do this in 2k view. The weakness of 2k view is depth perception. This view makes it harder to see the gaps

Badges matter in 2k25. Attributes don’t 🙃. The Badge DNA model will display how your players responds. Learned this from playing alottt of Rec.
