Great video! How is the preheating functionality on the home roaster? Do you simply turn it on and let it sit for 5-20 min? Does it have a preheating function to begin with? Seems the internet is divided on this one.
I have monsoon malabar from india that i'm trying to roast. But the results are atrocious. How do you load non-ikawa bean profile?

It looks like it didnt roast the beans evenly…???
If i remember correctly 50grams is supposed to be the ideal amount for a roast batch, he did 100gms, could be why it didn't come out evenly roasted.
Its cool but it removes the craft away from roasting coffee. The equipment does everything, no need to use your senses.
You can create your own profiles in the app also, this is just a good way to get your foot in the door.
