The only problem is that the physical sound of his voice and how he uses it is just not enjoyable for very long, unfortunately after a couple songs, I need a break... but the Battle Hymn of the Republic on Soldiers is nothing less than a masterpiece as well as much of his early work before the praise for his ballad "voice & phrasing" got the best of him and influenced even his rock singing to the detriment of the overall music experience...

Oh wow I remember one song from Stryper. The Christian rock era began back then. It was hard for people to take it seriously and and be played on the radio. I'm a huge KoRn fan, and the guitar player, Head, left the band to get his life together and became a born again Christian. I was floored, and so happy for him. Now he's back in the band ten years later (2013), and such a positive influence on the bands fans. He writes music about his faith and a book about his journey. Now the bass player got saved too.

@@kornnutt4eva I think he is incredibly intelligent from what I've read. It appears that he went to a boarding school and then moved away when he was 15. This might have shaped his personality in a negative way if his parents weren't there to guide him during his teenage years.

Absolutely true, he is one of the greats... The only problem is that the physical sound of his voice and how he uses it is just not enjoyable for very long, unfortunately after a couple songs, I need a break...
but the Battle Hymn of the Republic on Soldiers is nothing less than a masterpiece as well as much of his early work before the praise for his ballad "voice & phrasing" got the best of him and influenced even his rock singing to the detriment of the overall music experience...

I dont talk on this stuff often.....but i almost feel that Michael Sweet could possibly be better known than Sebastian. Dont know for certain......but i knew of Stryper about 10 years before i heard of Skid Row. Not hating.....i love both bands. Just think both singers have arrogant moment.
Bach was on several popular TV shows, Trailer Park Boys and Gilmour Girls I think. He's probably more well known because of that.

Sebastian Bach is 1 of the best heavy metal vocalist of all time yet I'm a big & huge Stryper fan bcuz they sing 4 God almighty & reps Jesus Christ! I respect & admire all those who aknowledge God in their life time as much as Stryper do!
Oh wow I remember one song from Stryper. The Christian rock era began back then. It was hard for people to take it seriously and and be played on the radio. I'm a huge KoRn fan, and the guitar player, Head, left the band to get his life together and became a born again Christian. I was floored, and so happy for him. Now he's back in the band ten years later (2013), and such a positive influence on the bands fans. He writes music about his faith and a book about his journey. Now the bass player got saved too.
