Here's the Teardown of the PALIT RTX 3070 GamingPro..step by step video showing Thermal pads replacements and removing the Fans and Fan replacements link down in the Description below. Any question just ask in this comment section. thank you and be safe everyone!
Bro🥳🤩, i bought a used 3070 ti 2 years ago and had overheating and loud fans problem, i thought it can't be repaired, you saved me man, i spent 30 bucks on it and it's perfect now, took me 2 hours haha!
I bought one of these second hand but it was overheating, something the seller did not inform me of.
I followed your guide and now it works great. Thank you!
Glad to hear your positive comments! Thank you too bro!
same thing i changed the thermal paste and now my 3070 ti doesnt exceed 75c
@@NeonT3tra25 Did you only have to use 1mm thermal pads? are different thickness thermal pads required?
@@sherwinmathew179 yes of course you can check online or via tearin down your gpu
Thank you! You my hero! I just done repaste! Before 85-90c to max 73c and hotspot 101-103 to max 84c! Thanks man
You're welcome! Thanks for your positive comment bro! Its a pleasure! Enjoy!
im thinking of changing only the paste my teamps go up to 77c on 3080rtx and fan around 50% is that normal?
@valonfazlija889 Hi bro! 77 deg temps on heavy load around few hours of gaming straight is not bad at all..that's average temps..the one not normal when you reach over 90 deg, that could cause your gpu to throttle..But its beast to regularly replace your paste with a fresh one at least once or twice a year to perform at peak at all times. I recommend NOCTUA NT H2 or an Arctic mx6.
@@TakeThatScrewOut thx man :) 😀 u kind
@@valonfazlija889 Welcome bro! have fun!
Thanks a lot for your video! Going to change the thermals on my RTX 3070! keep going! )
You're welcome! Thanks for your support and positive comments. Take care!
Hello
What the thickness of thermal pad that you used ??
Thermal pads are all 1mm bro..enjoy!
Awesome, thank you. Bits ordered and a nice job for tomorrow!
Wish you luck bro, and enjoy!
@@TakeThatScrewOut Thank you. It went well once I correctly routed the fan cables on the second attempt 😂👍 Great guide, thank you. GPU no longer overheating.
My Pleasure! Take care and enjoy bro!
You are a hero! I fixed memory overheating issues using the video
So glad to hear about the positive result on your Memory overhaeting issue by watching this video..i trully appreciate your positive comment man! Thank you! be safe!
Awesome! What is the size of the thermal pads?
Thank you so much can you gust also measure the screws that keep the cooler to the main chip to know what size and what to replace them with?
All these hardware like this gpu or laptop on this channel will just come and go on my studio on a short period of time, i don't have this gpu anymore on hand..sorry i can't answer your question at this time. I'll be back to you as soon as i have those info for you. take care!
I did not saw you putting thermal paste on the chip.
Course i did! Hehehe! It didn't shown in video because i did made shorts video before putting the paste it..thanks for you comment man..i appreciate it.
@@TakeThatScrewOut but when you assembled it back the chip has no thermal paste.
@@marvinmark10 i definitely put thermal paste on it..hehehe! It didn't shown on video because i was using the card to shoot for my SHORT VIDEO as well at that time. Glad you noticed it! Hehehe!
Which of the 3 connectors is for the LED lights?
*IMPORTANT!* Don't forget to put thermal paste on the GPU chip before assembling the card. The video doesn't show this step. You can easily destroy your card if you don't do this.
Thanks for reminding me bro, appreciated! But actually i did put a paste before i put it back again..it doesn't show on that video because i did finish to shoot that footage before i shoot my short video. 😀
then what's happening at 8:55?
@@DoodleDoo Looks like the video was recently updated to show applying the thermal paste. The old version didn't show this step (as confirmed by the author's comment above). Good on him for updating it! :)
It is also very clear in 12:44 that there is no paste...
Hi could you tell me how many thermal pads i would need to buy for this card thank you
Get atleast 120mmX70mm size thermal pads..thats my rough stimates, if you could more the better..you just keep the leftover for the next time you change the pads.
@@TakeThatScrewOut thank you sir
@@peterpipe9015 You're welcome!
Firts time i see a backplate going to the dentist.
Bro is the grey pads a different thickness to the blue pads ?, i was wondering why you use two different types .
Thanks for the great video
they are on the same thickness but different brand.
The blue thermal pads i've used is an Arctic brand
@@TakeThatScrewOuthi i have ordered a used rtx 3070 gaming pro from ebay .
It arrives on monday and i plan to change the paste and pads .
I was wondering how much improvement you saw once you fixed this card .
Thank you kindly
@@peterpipe9015 The improvement difference might vary that depends on the actual condition of your used card..if thats not been repaste, changed pads and cleaned for years.. you could see a difference.. otherwise few degrees improvement also depends on the Quality of the Pads and paste you put in.
@@TakeThatScrewOut thanks bro i ordered the same stuff you used the arctic paste and the 1mm thermal pads .
Thanks for all the help i appreciate it
Gracias por el video, tengo la misma gpu y estoy por hacerle mantenimiento, una pregunta todos los termal pad son de 1 mm no?
Hi, did you figure out the thickness? From the video, it seems that the array on the right uses a thinner thermal pad.
@@longercheese Hello, not yet because it has good temperatures, that's why I don't want to take it apart, but in the summer I'll do it, from what I've seen in several videos it has 1 mm in all parts.
@JavierUbiedo thanks for the answer, will probably tear it apart myself within next weeks as an experiment))
hi bro is it 1mm on 3070 gamerock too? i heard it is 0.75 mm ... if it is 0.75 then is there any way to use 1 mm?
Hello bro! I haven't done the Gamerock version on this gpu yet, but if thats the case that the gamerock uses a 0.75mm, me personally based on my personal experienced, its really fine to use 1mm instead.. The diference between those two is just a fraction.. Just make sure pick a SOFT kind of Pads like an ARCTIC TP-3 or similar, that could easily adjust and adopt to fill the gap. Avoid the GELID Xtreme because those are bit stiff.
Could I also use liquid metal instead of thermal paste on the main GPU chip? what do you think?
And what were you temps with the old paste/pads and now with the replaced ones? I assume +5C ?
You could use Liquid Metal on CPU and GPU, but you need to be very Careful on the Application due to very delicate process to do it, make sure it will not mess to the PCB it might cause you problem with short circuit.. If you know how to, Go ahead..otherwise i recomment NOCTUA NT H2 paste.
temps wise that vary of the load of the Application..but its worthied to repaste with a Good quality Thermal paste once every 6 months if you're a heavy gamer or video editor.
Hi can i use 1mm thermal pads on vram and other parts of gpu? My gpu been thermal throttling from last few days and wanted to change paste and pads but i was not sure
This card has 1mm thermal pads on all chips..hope this helps.
@@TakeThatScrewOut awesome! This was what i needed. Gonna subscribe for this.
@@MyChiliIceCream i've got 3 gpu card on hand (ASUS TUF GAMING RTX 3060 Ti, GIGABYTE GAMING OC RTX 3060 ti & PALIT RTX 3060 Ti) for another Tutorial video..will do sometimes next week. This week Videos of MSI RX 6700 XT & ZOTAC RTX 3090 GAME TESTING PERFORMANCE will be Posted on my Channel. Please Subscribe for more Videos.
Hey, great video.
TY!
Hey, thanks!
Is it important to also put thermal paste on vram !
VRam on GPU normally used Thermal Pads..but in rare occasion some Brand i've noticed in the past they used like a thick paste for their thin and light Laptops.
Hi there is a dude on reddit who says palit told him the vram pads are 0.75 mm and all others are 1mm .
Would 1mm pads compress down to 0.75 ? Thats assuming he is correct or telling the truth .
He did have a link to your video too .
I am just double checking before my card arrives in post ,hopefully it arrives tuesday afternoon .
Thank you
the difference between 1mm and .75 is just a fraction..and pads overtime would actually be compressed when pushed in..and based on my observation when i measured it with my measuring Caliper it says 1mm.. i might be wrong or maybe i'm right. But i would suggest you better go for 1mm bro, not much difference from .75mm..
@@TakeThatScrewOut i already bought the 1mm , thats what i gonna use thanks for your help bro
@@peterpipe9015 You're welcome bro! Take care & enjoy.
@@peterpipe9015 did it work for you?
@@rifkihidayat1343 I ended up undervolting the card , it never goes much past 50c .Nice and quiet too.
I still have the pads and new fans ready to upgrade when needed
In my card there are 2mm thermalpaes on vram
That's possibly normal..some cards has different messurements due to been replaced in the past..or when we measure sometimes we can't really get the most accurate figure..we really don't know who has the right one..🤔..that don't really matter..as long as you use a soft and good quality pads, that could easily adopt the gap
Does this video mean this card is not cool enough or noisy to need this?
All thermal Pads and thermal paste would degraded overtime, regardless of the Brand or quality..and that would affect the performance and dissipation of heat transfer, that's the main purpose of this Channel or videos to help others the information they need on how to do it..🙂
@@TakeThatScrewOut Thanks. I am relieved.
I have saved this video locally for future use.
Thanks man! Appreciated! More videos will be posted soon..
All termalpads 1mm?
Yes bro, they are all 1mm on this particular card. hope this helps, take care!

@@emerson6607 No worries! take care!
Termal macun sürmedin kamil
thermal pad here are 2.0mm 1.5 mm and 1.0 mm dont be #%$^#$%#^not all has 1.0mm
That's true bro, you can't really figured out which one is the most accurate answer when it comes to the thickness of the pads..unless the card is sealed from the manufacturer. Most not all of my gpu's i've done on this channel was still sealed in screw before i've done the videos. And also sometimes when you measure the thickness, you cannot really get the most accurate figure, thats only an approximate figure what appears on your measuring tools.
