Lilly first, I feel strongly that you have a Spiritual Gift that possibly you don't see it as such. This gift is transparency. So many Christians believe that if they are asked, how are you, their answer is Doing great praise God. They are still stuck in don't put out negative energy or you will bring it to you. BUT Practicing the law of attraction is so bogus. I lived my past on principles of New Thought Philosophy. Like you Lilly I was steeped in all things for lack of a better word "New Age". Now your walk with God has totally changed you.
l see one of God most precious gifts is being a truth Teller. The body NEEDS this to heal phoneyness and pretense. The Holy Spirit, is Strongly in you as a truth Teller about YOUR struggles, your dry times your confusions, your aching for a more trustful union with our Lord, and experiencing Holy Spirit more profoundly. Cast your care unto God. He doesn't want us STRIVING. Your Gift of speaking your Truth includes weaknesses, shows me We are to trust and just take the next right step. God does not have a plan for our lives that we need to FIGURE OUT. I belive Our walk is NOT TO FIND OUT HIS WILL. His will is that we Love God and we love each other.
Lilly please stay humble, and always share your TRUTH. GOOD BAD ETC. It is a Healing force, beyond what you understand.

All those who put their faith in Jesus Christ are immediately and permanently indwelt by the Holy Spirit (Romans 8:11). The Holy Spirit still works in and through believers to accomplish His will. His power leads us, convicts us, teaches us, and equips us to do His work and spread the gospel. The Holy Spirit’s powerful indwelling is an amazing gift we should never take lightly.

When Jesus says, “Blessed are the poor in spirit, for theirs is the kingdom of heaven,” He is declaring that, before we can enter God’s kingdom, we must recognize the utter worthlessness of our own spiritual currency and the inability of our own works to save us.
Poor in spirit” includes an honest confession that we are sinful and utterly without the moral virtues that we need to commend to God. This deepest form of repentance acknowledges our desperate need for God. Those who are poor in spirit gladly cast themselves on God's grace.

You have such a willing and humble heart before the Lord. You great encouragement to me my faith. Thank you for sharing. I have a problem also trusting people and trusting situations from deep hurts from past. There are times I have to remind myself that I walk in victory that God has took on the cross my sin, shame and my pain and made a way for me through the Word and through the power of the holy spirit. I guess I would say there are times I find myself preaching the gospel to myself again. Truth will always set us free. God bless you as you continue to serve our Saviour.

I am so thrilled for you but also envious that you are able to go to such an on fire, spirit filled and led church! We don't have that here unfortunately. My husband and I have visited 34 churches in the last several years and have not found one like that. The church we go to used to be like that (ex Amish pastor who went to Rhema and was taught by Kenneth Hagin and others like him). He retired a few years ago and his replacement has done a 180 and they don't operate in the gifts (or power) of the Holy Spirit anymore. And what is even more sad is that the current pastor is a home grown boy. He grew up under the previous pastor. He is obviously being told what to do and not do. They don't want to offend anyone but the Holy Spirit! And mammon is now their god. They are more of a business than an church. So sad!

Fire is a wonderful picture of the work of the Holy Spirit. The Spirit is like a fire in at least three ways: He brings God’s presence, God’s passion, and God’s purity. The Holy Spirit is the presence of God as He indwells the heart of the believer (Romans 8:9). In the Old Testament, God showed His presence to the Israelites by overspreading the tabernacle with fire (Numbers 9:14-15). This fiery presence provided light and guidance (Numbers 9:17-23). In the New Testament, God guides and comforts His children with the Holy Spirit dwelling in our bodies-the “tabernacle” and the “temple of the living God” (2 Corinthians 5:1; 6:16).
The Holy Spirit creates the passion of God in our hearts. After the two traveling disciples talk with the resurrected Jesus, they describe their hearts as “burning within us” (Luke 24:32). After the apostles receive the Spirit at Pentecost, they have a passion that lasts a lifetime and impels them to speak the word of God boldly (Acts 4:31).
The Holy Spirit produces the purity of God in our lives. God’s purpose is to purify us (Titus 2:14), and the Spirit is the agent of our sanctification (1 Corinthians 6:11; 2 Thessalonians 2:13; 1 Peter 1:2). As the silversmith uses fire to purge the dross from the precious metal, so God uses the Spirit to remove our sin from us (Psalm 66:10; Proverbs 17:3). His fire cleanses and refines.

Instead of stressing the importance of wealth, the Bible warns against pursuing it. Believers, especially leaders in the church (1 Timothy 3:3), are to be free from the love of money (Hebrews 13:5). The love of money leads to all kinds of evil (1 Timothy 6:10). Jesus warned, “Watch out! Be on your guard against all kinds of greed; a man’s life does not consist in the abundance of his possessions” (Luke 12:15). In sharp contrast to the prosperity gospel emphasis on gaining money and possessions in this life, Jesus said, “Do not store up for yourselves treasures on earth, where moth and rust destroy, and where thieves break in and steal” (Matthew 6:19). The irreconcilable contradictions between prosperity teaching and the gospel of our Lord Jesus Christ is best summed up in the words of Jesus in Matthew 6:24, “You cannot serve both God and money.”

I stumbled into your channel I don’t know how and can’t remember how but I know it’s not an accident. God has a way of letting me know he loves me. I’ve been isolated for quite a while now and I’m trying to figure out what God is trying to show me or tell me.

The key to experiencing God, then, is not expecting an “experience” or an emotional lift. Rather, it is a lifelong process of belonging to Him through Christ, being moved by the Holy Spirit by whom we are sanctified, and growing in the knowledge of Him.
I disagree it can be both for some of us…a lot of super natural experiences have happened to me while praying and being in His word, that’s too bad it has not happened to you. That is why it’s called PERSONAL RELATIONSHIP bc for all of us it’s different.
To be Holy Spirit-filled is to be controlled by Him so that He can lead you in the path of righteousness to manifest the Fruit of the Spirit in Galatians 5:22-23
22 But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, 23 gentleness, self-control; against such things there is no law.

Lilly are Christian's in thailand being persecuted too? I wish I can move there and start or work with a church. I have a heart for the thai people. I am an american living in st.paul, mn. I was born in thailand, I am not sure if I am adopted or not. I want to move back because I feel like america don't have anything for me.

What do you have to say for the edited versions of the Bible? All the books taken out? Our current bibles are from masoretic texts? Our current bibles are not the same from the early scriptures? I do believe His word is truth however, they are questions because a lot of things are taken out. And also it is very well known that the early Christians were not like modern Christians today they did not celebrate pagan holidays like Christmas, Easter they kept Jewish holidays and celebrations.
