I know you mentioned it HAS to be the paper they supply but it would be super helpful if we know what would happen if we use regular receipt paper (it would save everyone a lot of money cuz you can get it from everywhere). All their website mentions is an "undesirable printing effect" but all we need to know really is if it physically fits.

So far so good but it depends on the paper you buy

Pity the ink may only last two years. It is not really long enough for labels on jars etc where you might keep them on the shelf for may years. It is a bit inconvenient having to reprint.
Anyone suggest which brand of paper will last the longest ?

I think unless you use something like the plastic label printers it will fade
