Fascinating Aida are one of the funniest acts on the planet (Cheap Flights, Dogging, Tesco Saves, Health and Safety, Dogging, So Sorry Scotland).
But when they do poignant, OMG do they do it well?!!!

Only just discovered this song and performance!? Where have I been?? Class lyrics, beautifully sung and very very sad. Almost sang my life story.
The absolutely devastating acting in the line "I try to hold you but you sigh and turn away." The physical act of crumpling up and letting go. Incredible choices throughout! And needlessly to say, brilliant voice.
One of the most heartbreaking and hauntingly beautiful songs I’ve ever heard
I rarely listen to the current top 40 but when I do I become quite sad as so much of it is empty nonsense. A song such as this should be sitting right at the top but it won't because each decade has seen less emphasis on song meaning and more emphasis on what will sell. Sadly this has created an almost formulaic type of music, simplified to the extreme and utterly devoid of meaning.
I know many generations believe this about the current music but one can prove this by analysing the complexity of modern music and comparing it to the past. Both lyrical quality and musical ability have dropped decade upon decade in the top 40. This is, I believe, why people gravitate towards other charts as they get older.

I wasn't expecting to start crying, but I sure did. What a wonderfully sad song and beautiful performance.
Went to see them do this concert & when this song started I lost it totally...so amazingly sung- the catch in her voice makes it so believable.I have been a fan of these girls for 20years or so,they just seem to get better & better such talent-long may they continue!
I got introduced to Fascinating Aida a short time ago by way of Cheap Flights, and have since listened to a number of their songs I could find around RUclips. Got used to their upbeat, irreverent, sometimes raunchy humour.
And then this song came along and punched me right in the feels.

the first song I heard was dogging, I damn near had an accident, from that moment I was hooked. These girls are so incredibly talented, their whit & wisdom, their command of language married with song, I'm constantly blown away. This song can tear your heart in two. xxx

Wow. What a powerful song. The ability to command such emotions on stage -- Now THAT'S talent! I can't believe I hadn't heard of this group before!

Watched “dogging” and the funnier songs..watching this hits me like a freight train, just wasn’t expecting it tears running down my face loaded with emotion, so so powerful.
A fan for 20 years? Lucky you. I only first heard of them a week ago. Where have I been? I ask myself. They are GREAT.

This is one of the moving, but beautifully performed songs I've ever heard; to range from Cheap Flights to this shows and immense talent. Hauntingly beautiful.

I think she has by far the best voice of the three, and this is far and away my favorite song of theirs, but also the one I listen to the least. As much as I love their comedy, I think they should do more songs like this.
If you want to listen to more of their sad songs, listen to this table, look mummy no hands, Lerwick town, goodbye old friends, flowers of winter. There are probably more but these are the saddest
