Are you familiar with this song? It was previously written for & performed only by a Metal band with two lead guitarists and includes solos by each as well as the bassist & drummer. LOVEBITES 'covered' it, note-for-note & beat-for-beat, each instrument, including solos.
This is Miyako's personal arrangement for solo piano. All the songs on her EP are her personal arrangements of songs previously written for & performed by Metal bands, including one of her songs performed by LOVEBITES.

Nice to get a pianist's perspective of this piece. Miyako has played classical piano since age 3 and guitar sonce high school. Her EP of 6 piano covers was released on June 21, 2023. Here is yhe list if songs on her piano EP

Great reaction ! You should check out the other 5 piano tracks on Miyako's debut piano EP (they're all on YT). They're all piano covers of famous rock/metal songs which the genius expertly interpreted, rearranged and performed.
Miyako started piano @ age 3, and has a degree in music composition. She learned about Metal from her mother, and bought a guitar @ 18 and taught herself to play. She composes much of Lovebites music, and also composes for some other bands.
Oh, so hell she is the composer of the band?
@@PJAlphaMusic About 40%. The original bassist Miho wrote about 20% before she left - and most of the lyrics for those. There is a keyboardist friend of the band named Mao that writes the other 40% - 'with' the band. Asami writes the rest of the lyrics, and about all of the newer ones. Asami writes a bit of the music now as well. New bassist Fami started in Oct '22 and appears only on their newest CD, Judgement Day.

I really appreciate your insightful feedback, especially coming from another classically trained pianist! I consider her a transcendent musician that really demonstrated the strong relationship between classical music and heavy metal. As you delve more into her body of work from her piano EP which includes this piece, LOVEBITES recent Judgment Day album (2023) and from other snippets online, she composed and arranged much of her LOVEBITES songs (and stated as such) to be one day accompanied by an orchestra, akin to Metallica with the San Francisco Symphony. Dystopia Symphony is another of her recent composition strong quotations from Beethoven: ruclips.net/video/YkiRGfw572U/видео.html; Thunder Vengeance, one of their heavier trash metal songs and a show opener ruclips.net/video/yWE7PqCpGi4/видео.html, has an full orchestral version that I think you'd find interesting. Your pronunciation is close. it's Mee-ah-ko, with a very slight accent on the first syllable. Japanese accents are not done by raising the volume, but slightly raising the pitch. This piece is from her EP that was just released, containing six of her solo piano interpretations of metal classics.

There is a video online of Mikayo leaning/practicing Lizst's "La Campanella" for a future piano recital.
"eagle fly free" is a powermetal song composed for the heavy metal band "helloween". miyako has arranged this for the piano. she also is the main composer of loverbites (about 70 or so %). and in the whole lovebites catalogue you wont fin a single stale, mediocre or bad song. they have released four successful albums and several EPs until now. the band has won metal hammers prestigious "golden god award for best newcomer band in 2018, played wacken and toured two times in europe.
Be curious if you check out the original Helloween version and look at this again.
