It was such a great event wasn’t it? Also super thanks for the brief feature and mention. I had such a great time there and it was awesome meeting people, and of course getting to meet you in person Chris. 😎👍 Also watching the group of you heading into the gents looking for Mike will live rent free in my head for a long time. 😂🤣
@@YawningAngelRetro haha was great to meet you too. Oddly the fact that we were talking cameras into the gents seemed normal to me until you questioned it 🤣
Thanks mate. Meeting people was the main reason for going for me. Great event to bring everyone together....and that's just the Amiga lovers (and Rees) :D
I’ve got one of the Checkmate Mini 1500 cases with an UnAmiga ITX board. It’s a nice way to run Amiga without having to crank up the old hardware. It was a little addition I made to the office alongside a My Retro Computer VIC20 case with a PC ITX board in it running Windows 11. People always give that one a second glance. Looks like you had a great time apart from the burger bun at lunch. 😉
@@herdarkshadow834 it was an awesome time. Those cases do look great indeed, and the further into the hobby I sink, the more I understand the appeal of one.
I've watched a few videos of Grind. Looking good. To get an executable via Patron it's £8.50 a month. Bit too much for me but I will buy it when it gets released.
Looks like an awesome show to visit! Great video as well mate. Especially loved the intro! Saw the hunt for mike/lemmings signature from the other cam a while ago actually!
No where is safe from 005 Agima after a few beers. “Is that Mike?” 😂. Looks like it was a great event. Gutted I couldn’t make it as it was my weekend on at work.
Thanks mate. And yes Lemmings is a true classic. The impact on gaming for a generation can not be understated imho. Mike also went on to work on GTA among other things.
@@kenknight5983 I'm not sure the venue is cheaper. I'd assume the opposite. The entry fee was also much more expensive than a local meet, and food was not included, so I'm not sure of your business strategy 🤣. I applaud Ravi for pulling this off, but I equally applaud those trying to make local meets work. Keep in mind the UK scene is HUGE compared to little Perth town in WA.
Anti-Chris here. I couldn’t make kickstart this year after having a fantasy time there last year. And now I’m kicking myself I missed to opportunity to meet you in person. Maybe next year for the Amiga 40th anniversary?
Meeting me in person wasn't worth it 🤣 I meet me every day lol. Jokes aside, shame you missed it. I'm not sure when I'll be back in the UK tbh but never say never.
Out of curiosity, Chris, how many Pints of Beer did you consume at the show? ;) Alcohol & vintage computing. A lead-in to the next Monty Python skit? Bloody hell, this should be interesting.
@@oliverw.douglas285I think I had 2 at the show, and 3 much later at the after party. Or the other way around. Can't remember. Anyway it was over many hours. I was sensible as had a big drive the next day to Wales via Doncaster.
That looked like a fantastic event and I'd love to visit one year.
I absolutely need to get some of that music ... outstanding 👌
@@DadLadsGaming it was a great event, and yep the music is really cool. Hoffman does a great job.
