The exact same mould as the Spectrum light phaser that was in black. That also had a squeaky trigger from new. I have fond memories of playing Operation Wolf on the Spectrum. Shame about the lens. Hope you get it sorted.
Puffy stickers. Totally forgotten about those. Amazing find. I’m feeling your nostalgia. Glad you found the exact same stickers.
I remember getting an Atari VCS woody for Christmas. It came with Combat and my dad bought Space Invaders and Frogger too (£30 a game if I remember correctly). It was brilliant. I spent many hours playing on that machine. My next door neighbour Fiona also got an Atari that Christmas. I remember going round and seeing they had Pacman (which I secretly wished I had got). We sold it a couple of years later and put the money towards a Commodore 64. Happy memories... I think I need to buy another one.
@@AdamRadfordAndFamily great memories. Thanks for sharing. Yeah games were not cheap I remember that much.
Some great memories in there mate and if I'm ever in Tunbridge I've got to visit Fuggles! Thanks for sharing.
this is some wholesome content
Thanks mate. Glad you think so :)
Dixons was also another place to visit at the time. They had the latest Panasonic 3DO and the Philips cdi on display.
Yep and I do regret forgetting to mention them when we concluded the video at the clock, as that is of course, right next to what was Dixons lol. It had been a long day. We actually filmed this after a 3.5 hour drive back to TW after having visited the @RMC Retro exhibit and Arcade Archive in Stroud.
Lol, logged on to catch the latest episode of TWIR and caught your video first! Thank YOU for clicking Record!
ah ah the end....

Never owned or played on an amiga lightgun. There some angry idiots lurking on evilbay mate, mostly a waste of time arguing with them. That squeak would drive me bonkers. Shame about the lense, at least you can easily replace.
@@davidretrogamesplayedbadly3533 at least the seller has relisted it correctly now. Haha that squeak is nostalgic for me 😂
Next time you come back to the UK I’ll take you to my Clay pigeon club and you can have a play with my shotguns
@@tim-moffy oh that'd be awesome Tim. Always wanted to try that. Have done laser clays but not the real deal.
Ive had the same problem with sellers on eBay. over a classic motorcycle. He wasnt happy being told his Bike wasn't what he listed it as. Mainly because it would knock about 1k of the value lol
@@ClassicTrialsChannel haha that's the thing, I was trying to help both sellers.. Oh well lol
"Go to travel Amiga" now there's a phrase I've never heard before, or ever expected to ever hear 😂 I'm glad you've been able to acquire a new Trojan despite all the trials and tribulations. Classic recording outtake at the end 😂
@@GenerationPixel haha gotta have a travel miggy mate 😎
nice toy, shame about the lens.

I wonder what are the requirements for AMOS to detect the lightgun and it's input.

Brilliant video mate the lens is on its way to you Im currently constructing my video on this its a funny story ha ha glad they have finally changed the listing
@@tooheystechgaming1977 haha Cheers mate. Looking forward to getting the lense, and then waiting for the Perth weather to decide it's spring so I can Retro bright this MF
Peppermint tea ! Wtf have you done with the real Chris ! You need a rum !
@@kwak83 🤣🤣🤣
That story was like a bit from a sitcom 😂
🤣
Well, it’s living up to its brand name Trojan. A gift with a nasty surprise - for both of you 😂
bahaha true that
Peppermint tea… nice. I bet the Atari ST one had a lens in it. 😉 Shame I’ve never used my STFM or STE for games as I do like a light gun game. I had an unwieldy Nintendo Scope 6 and I think I have one of the Spectrum versions of the Phazer in the vault (read garage) with all the other heaps of neglected vintage computers. I found six Commodore datasettes in the greenhouse we just demolished, including one for the C16/Plus 4 so I’m imagining there must be one of them in the garage somewhere. Yes, there are computers everywhere in my place including the now demolished greenhouse it seems. I was a big light gun game fan when Virtua Cop and Time Crisis released “Reload… Reload… Reload…”, ah, great fun. Are there any good VR shooting games I wonder? I’ve only ever used my PSVR2 for GT7 though there is an Alien game due soon I believe… Look forward to the restoration video. 🙂
I love Virtua Cop and even more so Time Crisis. Your place sounds like heaven btw lol.
Also yes the ST one probably did have the lense, AND it was in better condition going from the photos George sent me. Ironically, I now tempted to buy it and swap the guts out bahahaha
@@005AGIMACue the A Team theme tune. 😂
@@005AGIMAIt’s a house of many surprises and half finished projects. 😉
@@herdarkshadow834 lol
I remeber you talking on TWiR about needing to do some retro brighting but hadn't yet. Mostly because I'm in the same boat! Wonder if you tried a method and had success to also use on the Phazer? Or if it'll be your first go at it? Hope you get the Phazer looking as you'd like! Cheers Chris
I used the Vapour Bright method on the A1200 and I think it came out ok. ruclips.net/video/DIIn2ybTuaI/видео.html Jump to about the 12 minute mark. Also in this video I did it on a Keyboard: ruclips.net/video/2izP3tvaF0s/видео.html NOTE: This was an experiment on a PC keyboard and I don't recommend doing it on complete electronics like I did here. Best on disassembled plastics only.
I like mint tea but rarely drink it. I like it on really hot days but living in the UK there's not much call for it. The last box I bought was probably about 5 years ago!
I get migraines from conventional tea.
Woah… Chris is drinking a non-alcoholic beverage. This must be serious. 😆
Don't drink and play with guns lads.
@@005AGIMAIt’s a phazer, man. Get phazer wasted. 😂
NOTE: The seller of the ST Phazer has now re-listed the gun with the correct description.
Had a similar problem, with an eBayer, who chose to go on holiday, but made no mention of it in his item listings. I was setting up a display for a show, that was centered on 8-bit games. The illuminated display was to have 3 signs, with the center & most prominent being a neon-trimmed Pacman Ghost. I literally ordered & paid for the item a full 30-days, in advance of the show. Well, the less than charming chap sent it out so late, that I was forced to attend the show with out it. I made due without it, & it ironically was delivered to my home, the day after I arrived at the show. I was steamed at the time, but now my 12-year-old had a great suggestion... use it as a Halloween Decoration in our front window. Things have a way of turning around for the better you could say. :)
ebay is both fantastic and terrible at the same time :D
Love the efforts you go to to recreate your childhood memories. Was there many games that used the Phazer ?. Look forward to seeing part 2 of this latest adventure.
Odd I wrote a detailed reply and it's missing. My own channel censored me? Long story short, there's not many games for the Phazer, and back in the day I only had the pack-in games and Spacegun. But the latter makes it worth it imho. I hope it lives up to my fond memories.
@005AGIMA that is weird 😳. Shame they didn't make too many games for it. Surprisingly not many home brew games created for it.
@@aussie_retro_dude9253 Yeah.....time to learn AMOS? :D
always good to see more Amiga vids 😊😊😊
Even when it's not an Amiga video, it's always an AGIMA video :D
I thought the coat hooks were ace but the stickers 😀; that’s 1 in a million for that guy to locate them. Those Australian termites sound insane!!! Great stuff as always Chris.
Thank you Chris another great video 😁
Thanks for sharing that dude
That was wonderfully nostalgic Chris. How cool that you managed to get those stickers👍
That's really cool mate. I remember those coat hooks from primery school in the UK and we all had a sticker over our hook 😃
Brilliant video and thanks for sharing. I think I might have to forgive you being obsessed with Atari Jaguars now 😅
I only really come here for the hot, Aussie, pegging, action.
The little wind-up robot that I use as my picture was found unopened on eBay. I had one just like it when I was little and never thought much of it until I saw a picture of one again on the internet and felt a little pang from missing it. I keep him on top of my Atari 2600 cartridge rack now and once in a while I wind him up and let him stretch his legs.
I had the Atari as a kid great video congrats on your collection i love it all oh you cant put controller ports on the front it would ruin that nice piece of wood 😂 i think on the 7800 they did hear your complaint and moved them up front a few years later.
Omg I remember them mate ,can you remember what shop or place you got it from or did you pickup on your holiday 👍😊
Na I honestly can't remember where we originally got them back then.
What a rollercoaster. Nice to see a fresh take on the pick ups video.
