No parallax - that SEUCKS! 😂
@@T8staDiM3rda 🤣🤣🤣
it's your "creative drive of 25"
oooh that's a good one.
I remember making a ninja game with this back in the day. "inspired by" The Ninja on Sega master system. Ship = ninja, bullet = ninja star. You've made me wanna have another go of SEUCK
Oh nice! a Ninja Game sounds awesome. We need a collection of home brew SEUCK games :D
That’s too bad it can’t.
yeah would be a nice addition I think. Along with weapon pickups, side scrolling etc etc. OK maybe I need to play with AMOS 🤣
Great video, thanks for sharing!
@@DJSvenNo1 no worries. Thank you for watching.
That's a great find, to build one is quite expensive if you use quality parts. My cab cost me to build just over $1900AUD 8 years ago but that's absolutely everything including screws, paint, vinyl wrap, acrylic sheets, mdf, t-moulding, car audio speakers and small amp. Plus $600 PC, $300 32" Screen, just over $300 for the control panel parts. So it adds up especially if you use quality components and not cheap Chinese knockoff rubbish. Those X-Arcade Sticks are actually decent quality, I have one here I purchased more than 20years ago with a trackball, ended up replacing the encoder board and use this for a standard PC sometimes. There are some absolute brilliant frontends these days. Mamewah is ok but nothing special. My cab uses Hyperspin which I setup from scratch with a fully cherry picked game selection plus a few game consoles. But RetroFE is great and there's custom frontend setups called CoinOPS which is fantastic but they might be a little PC heavy, not sure how good they would run on an old system. I would recommend making a shelf for the PC and secure the Sub to the bottom, you could also add a couple of 120mm fans for the cab.
@@off1k wow thanks for all the detailed information. Yeah this has to be the best pickup cost wise so far I think. No way I could do even just the shell this cheap.
Hi sorry I don’t know your name I’m Tony I have an a500/a1200 both fitted with pistorms and I know raspberry pi are essential on an Amiga but I have have got different versions of the pi and I have a m.2 nvme hat for them different operating systems on each and I am going to try and add one to the pi on my Amiga they are a hell of a lot quicker than a micro sd what do you think

The Amiga needs Sideways SeUCK, like there is on the c64. I think it was made around 2008. and has since been improved upon by the community. Most of the games make more sense scrolling horizontally, and it's given a big boost to the c64 scene
@@kenknight5983 I agree an improved Amiga version could and should be made. Not just a side scroll option, but pickups, health bars, enemy AI etc
Man! This would eat way too much of my time 😂
@@GenerationPixel drink cognac while you use it. Time will fly 😎
@005AGIMA 🤣
Sprites alive in ‘25!
haha nice. Better than anything I can think of 🤣
NOTE: Please ignore end comments about Transformers videos being "next week" as I dropped these already.
And now create Operation Wolf 🐺 😅
The thought did cross my mind. But you can't scroll sideways, hence the suggestion to have a snipper scrolling "up" a high rise tower. I think you could create a static game "similar to" op wolf, but also as mentioned in the video, you can't have the enemy shooting at the player in this style either. So...no lol.
I loved my copy of lemmings on the Amiga when I was at school. My big box copy came with a lemmings parachute (umbrella) pin badge which was used by myself as a tie pin for the last year of school.
@@mattsmedley.onehandedgamin9029 wow that would have been cool
Unfortunately Microsoft doesn't support Windows XP anymore so you might want to upgrade that computer to Windows 10 or 11 otherwise that computer will start getting viruses like crazy causing that computer to crash
BAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA gold. 🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣
Can't tell if you're serious or jokes. Just in-case serious, how is this computer going to get a virus mate?
@off1k Microsoft doesn't support XP or Windows 7 anymore
If you don't have a good virus protection on that computer it will get a virus
@@mattpace5982 Yes I know, again how is this computer going to get a virus? You know virus are pretty rare unless you like to visit many shady sites. This computer is most likely never going to be connected to the internet and will probably only ever have a couple of programs on it. In other words he will never need a virus scanner or defender and can completely disable all that and disable most of Windows "startup sequence" and bloat.
I used to love playing lemmings on Atari St 👍👍👍
Nice cabinet, I built my own Arcade 3 way table unit .
Oh nice work :)
I was looking at doing one like that, 3 way but 4 controls sets. So vertical games had the end controls and you can play 2 player vertical shooters with 1 player at the end of each side. Then 2 sets of controls for the horizontal games.
that's a killer find! Do yourself a huge favor and get a backup of thye drive as soon as possible, and, if you wanna, swap the spinning drive for an SSD... Either way backup that drive asap! Hell, that Xarcade tankstick that's being used for the controls is usually around $100 used by itself.
Thanks mate. And yes I need to backup the drive 100% agree :)
What a wonderful vid! Also a gratuitous cameo ........ :)
Thanks mate. Glad you enjoyed it. :)
This project is looking like so much fun. Looking forward to seeing this progress. 😊 Also you mentioned Tron Legacy. I love that film, and can never understand why it gets so much hate. Anyway, have fun with your restoration. 😎
Thanks. Yeah I love both Tron movies I think Legacy is an example of retro done right. They had perfect nods to the original, while not being hindered by it. Top Gun Maverick is another stand out example imho.
Lovely to see this mate!
Thanks for stopping by to view and comment mate. Loved your Richmond episode. For anyone who hasn't seen it, Christian here has done a similar video in his home town of Richmond. Check out his channel.
Nice looking car.... couldn't resist sticking in the number plate to check the year and model. Hope you've paid your registration recently though as it tells me it has expired!
@@wuggleworld yes all paid. Weekend lag. Wife loves to pay it on the last day FFS.
Payment finally registered :) Thanks for commenting though. Made me keep an eye on it.
some suggestions for your custom build: a fire button-trigger stick in the 2nd player stick a trackball or/& spinner a dedicated 4 way joystick or get the 4-way to 8-way MagStick for maximize the experience
@@WarioWorld2000 great suggestions well noted.
What Mame frontend is that Chris?
Seems to be called MAMEWAH. I don't know anything about it. Was just on the machine. You can see it in my other video here: ruclips.net/video/5qD6AC96JQU/видео.htmlsi=TfajLlqJTbFgP6iP&t=1964 (linked directly to time code)

Hello Amiga 500, you don't need a keyboard at all. To get pass "press OK" screen on MAME you just move the joystick left and right one time. Hope it helps.
@@1UPGameOver awesome thanks. Yeah I did Google it after filming and it works but great to have people confirm. Thanks mate.
@@005AGIMA Even better you can tell Mame to skip this nag screen completely but iirc it will depend on the version of Mame. For my cab which is about 8 years old I used a "No-Nag" version of Mame.
WOW! That's a fantastic find! Awesomeness awaits....
@@nazteeb thanks mate. Awesomeness does indeed await
Your broke the first rule of any cabinet, never put a drink on the unit...
...unless it was only $35 from the tip ;)
On those x Arcade tanksticks wiggle the joystick L & R it types ok ;)
Yes you are correct. I did look it up after filming but great that so many people know the trick :)
@005AGIMA also the switch on the back just switches modes as they can be used on the og Xbox etc with adapters.
@ Ah cool. Good to know. Thanks :)
That is sick value. Grats on this found. Looks like it is going to give you a lot of joy even without the restoration.
Thanks mate, and yes, since putting it back together, it's been used almost daily, and I haven't even cleaned it yet lol.
once upon a time, I had a mame cab and using left joystick and pushing left, then right simulated pressing the ok button to get passed the roms nag screen
Yes you are correct. I did look it up after filming but great that so many people know the trick :)
The infamous unknown button scenario! I feel I’m as relieved as you that the mystery was solved 😂
That button was like something out of an Episode of Friends.
That cab and setup. Heck of a deal for a completely working MAME setup. 👍
Very lucky on this one. Glad things like this still happen today, and lucky what it happened to me on this occasion. :)
Nice setup thanks for sharing. I had the Frontier poster on my wall too and I still have it somewhere but for the Atari ST
Bargain I think for that price even though I don't have the room, I'd had bought it.
Easier to find room for this than a train set :D
What an absolute bargain Chris. Great footage at thev end😂😂
Bargain indeed hey. haha thanks. It's good to see who sticks around to find the easter eggs at the end :)
That's an awesome find with the arcade cabinet & a working WXP Computer - preloaded with games! How cool is it, that your cute wife is equally interested in your hobby. Chris, you are a very lucky guy. :) Nice car BTW.
Thanks mate. The wife does play games but not as into the hobby as me. She can always be tempted with Pinball on the PC/Amiga or SSX on the PS2 though......on and Golden Eye :D
Repent and believe on Jesus christ 👍
Good advice.
This is neat! Maybe dust it off a tad? and fix the Marquee.. Then just play it! :)
I agree. Doesn't need much doing at all.
loved the outro on this with the snippet from an absolute classic film..... really looking forward to seeing the progress on this and the building too

Just worked out $35 is around £18 in the UK!! Flipping heck, what a find! Shane needs a few beers for that find! I have that same X-Arcade controller, must have had it for at least 10 years and it's built like a tank. My kids when they were little would go nuts on it playing Marvel vs Capcom and it's as good now as it was new. Looking forward to seeing what you do with and that garage space!
