I am a real life truck driver and started thanks to playing ets2 6 or so years ago. I would love to know how you have made a real life DAF wheel with full working wheel controls work on a pc. I am desperate to get a realistic if not a second hand hgv steering wheel to fit to a controller or something. Amazing what you have done and any help with how you did this awesome setup be amazing!
@@FrostyyShooter But i think this will cost you a lot of money. As far as i know, you'll pay around 120€ only for the steering wheel. :D But it's a little dream to have that kind of cabin. ^^
@@tblp_offiziell mostly depends on brand and model of the truck but some are arround €120, don't try to buy a brand new one cause i looked for one for my simpit but those are €500, €600 haha. Some people make there dreams come true by begining small and increasing it step by step ;)

How did you wire things like the handbrake, turn indicators, wheel buttons and pedals to the PC? And how is the wheel connected to the PC, is it done through a direct drive wheel base? Great job man
Thnx mate. Took a while to get alle pictures and measurement to make it correctly. Would have been better if i drive a DAF instead of a MAN in real life
a list on how to build i can't do mate, first you need to have some experience with wood working and learning yourself how to use micro controllers like arduino. for the components you need allot of (i used plywood since that is good enough to work with) and the truck parts i got from different truck scrapyards. on the other hand if you need help/advice on how to build something like this i am willing to help you :)
@@FrostyyShooter He means the programming (arduino) part. How to get ets to recognize the buttons, wheel etc. I think. Good work btw! I have driven a daf xf and it really does resembles the real controls. Everythink is almost in the same place.
@@viktordaruka6406 that is what i was going for haha took me days to find good pictures to see what goes where :) and for the arduino part. using a multimeter you can find the 2 wires that assambles the function like the indicator. connect 1 to ground and one to a digital pin and in the arduino library there is basic sketches about buttons. my codes send out a keyboard press (like pressing the letter L on the keyboard) and bound that to the ingame function
i don't know why some people dislike this video, my opinion ? they must be frustated it's a awesome video and a awesome home made creation and very realistic

wasn't that hard to make it that way. would have been much easier if scs added either an on/off or mute button for the radio

Wiring is done through arduino. Wheel is connect to a dd wheel base indeed.
