Lived in Waxaw for 24 years, came here for small town vibe population 2000. Now there is 25000 ++i cant stand to drive through town now. All traffic coming in and out on 2 lanes. Corporate town government greed killed Waxhaw.
Thanks for doing the video on Waxhan! Im torn between that area or the Huntersville area near the lake.Ill make a trip in the spring and Ill give you a call.
yes absolutely reach out to me I can help you narrow it down. Depends on lifestyle: Huntersville: easier drive times, shopping all close, close to the lake, lower cost of living, lower school ratings Waxhaw: Horrible drive times, beautiful and higher cost of homes, farther from shopping, great schools
@@livingincharlottenorthcarolina I have horses but I keep them boarded. Don't need schools. Im retired, 65 but more like 40! No old folks please!!! Born and raised in NYC. I do like the idea of being close to Birkdale. The best thing for me to do is just drive all over. Your videos are really great! Ive learned so much about Charlotte by watching them.
Sadly our house farm culture in Waxhaw is being overriden by subdivisions. You're too kind about the commute. It takes 45 min to get to the interstate and the DOT isn't coming to the rescue. There are NO jobs in Waxhaw so everyone is commuting in/out. Taxes doubled last year and are up for another county assessment already. You missed the boat getting in on Waxhaw. It's only going to get worse with all the approved high density developments that have been approved. No longer affordable or peaceful area.
I tell my clients often that I love the area but the commute is horrendus. But for those that dont have to commute or dont mind driving, the area is so beautiful! I wish they would expand that rd though, it would make everyones lives better. Hate when cities approve high density but dont add better roads. It is happening in Asheville too
