After watching about 7 of your reviews in a row, I´ve got to admit that these are made so well and understandable, it´s amazing. You´re doing a great job here.(Are you working at a radio station, television or..., Your voice is so clear and your English is flawless) The only thing I disagree is, on one of your reviews you spoke about Encre Noire by Lalique, which I think smells like burned wood. On the contrary Sycomore by Chanel is my favourite Vetiver fragrance which is in my opinion the most balanced, well blended and most sophisticated Vetiver fragrance I know.

i respect that you respond to your subscribers! this is a great new release. it's supposed to represent italian class! me and my buddy smelled this at macy's and loved it. like fell in love with it. sometimes its a lil too classy for me to wear normally. its deffs a night out scent. i smelled DH and they were pretty similar! great review!
I like this review. It's to the point plus I share the same sentiments on this fragrance. I tried this about a week ago at our local duty-free store. That evening I didn't want to shower being afraid to lose the scent! Out of my meager resources I ordered a 3.4oz on Amazon. Can't wait to get it. A comment about DHI - I love how the drydown seems to go from vanilla to chocolate .... and back again ! I'm hoping that the VU has a similar characteristic. Keep up your good work ! And thank you !
Fantastic review. You articulate all of my thoughts on this fragrance. I too think that it has an iris vive to it even though its not a note in the fragrance . The bergamont in the opening is definitely just a temporary presence to draw in the masses at first sniff. Great frag, fantastic review.

The fragrance has excelled my expectations and more, the aroma is exquisite, an elegant enduring complexity that holds a fascination. Every frag will concur with your dermatology Ph levels and chemical balances, meaning it may fragrate beautiful leather roses on me but just leather on you! I would class it at a niche fragrance being quite similar to A*Men Mugler in its genetics. Thank you again for the in-depth review, reviews such as this can be persuasive and indicative to a viewers eventual fragrance wardrobe.👍✨
Great review Stephen ! Valentino Uomo and DHI are not similar at all, atleast for me. But in a good way :) DHI is very sweet and too loud for me. VU is sophisticated and mysterious, with few notes like DHI.

And you are certainly right, that bottle is beautiful. It is pure class and elegance. Just what I would expect from Valentino. However, it doesn't smell ANYTHING like Dior Homme, or DHI for that matter. It's very differen't. Just because a frag has a similar note or two doesn't make it the same. Redolessence Steven, this is the video that I choose. This is my favorite video! As I mentioned before, this video sold me on trying Valentino Uomo. It was a bold and honest review of this fragrance, and so I am very thankful for this review. Many people claim that this fragrance is redundant and a copy of DH/I, and say that the bottle is hideous and feminine. However, I completely disagree and find the scent to be much better, and more masculine than both DH and DHI. I also find the bottle to be very masculine and elegant. I choose this video because if I hadn't watched this, and was instead influenced by much of the bad talk about Valentino Uomo, I may have never discovered this gem. One of my favorite things about your videos is the honesty, and the disclaimers that you offer in the beginning of some reviews. I love that you do your best to check any bias at the door, and offer very objective reviews. I also love the depth of your videos, that includes everything from descriptions of the bottles, the fragrance, and performance, to profiling what kind of person might wear this, and your personal stories or reactions people have had for any given fragrance. If there is one advice I would offer it would be, always keep your integrity that you demonstrate in your reviews. What a coincident, just a few days ago I was at a department store, a sales lady showed me over 15 different perfumes, saying, "this is new, this is wonderful", etc and out of many Valentino Uomo did stand out from the crowd. But really I didn't find it unique; it's pleasing and good for sure. It reminded me of Guerlain's Tonka Imperiale, but diluted with some generic cologne. May be that's the reason it's good as Tonka Imperiale is so gourmandy that you feel like you want to eat yourself.
I definitely see the connection to Tonka Imperiale. The almond note makes it just so heavenly and delicious. Uomo doesn't have that gourmand attractiveness to it. Being that it bears similarities to so many fragrances, it's hard to say it's unique, and many would even consider it a redundant purchase. All is well! I am going to buy this one. Love it and I think it might be fun to layer it with DH...I don't have the DH Intense so will have to see about that one. But is does smell close to Dior Homme with a bit of chocolate thrown in. Love that!

I had it like 4-5 months ago and It was my first fragrance I ever bought. I love the smell of those sweet candy stuff which is why I bought it. Love the bottle but there you go the projection isn't really good tho.
Gianduja is also written as gianduia. It's pronounced jahn-doo-yah with the accent on the middle. It's basically chocolate hazelnut paste aka nutella. Nutella was originally called pasta gianduja. I smelled this and thought it was nice. My wife first said it was great and then turned her nose up. So, mixed review on me.

whenever somebody of the caliber of you, Steve - or Marc - hypes this up, i go back to my sample to test it out again, hoping to get why y'all are raving about it so much, and every time my initial neutral-to-negative reaction gets reinforced. comparing it side-by-side with dior homme just decimates this scent utterly and completely. as Cody is fond of saying, take this as you may :)

Hi Steven, This bottle reminds me a little of Guerlain's bee bottle of Cologne Impériale. I have tried this fragrance i don't find this a typical gourmand fragrance even though it is a bit sweet. It's not overly sweet but subdued & more elegant it has a lot more depth. Great review .... Keep up the fantastic work Cheers Mate!

idk what yall are talking about with weak projection... i discovered this cologne bc some guy in my class wore it and i could always smell it, even 10-15 ft away. it wasnt that the guy was over spraying either... not overwhelming; even up close.

we've had this available for quite some time now, so i've tested it a LOT. to my nose, it's too similar to dior homme, but it lacks longevity and projection, and it turns sour on me after 2-3 hours. not bad at all, but if you already have dh, reform or original, this is superfluous. like the bottle a lot, though. will i buy it? nope. will i throw it out if given as a present? nope as well. i give it 5 out of 10, mostly on the strength of the bottle design

Do try _Cuban Glory_ by _Creation Lamis_ not expensive and worth collecting. Quite loud in initial sharpness, being unashamedly bold. Citrus with leathery flowers all surfing on middle notes. Some obfuscation into very high notes with citrus, maybe a tinge of sourness. Wait for the dry down before nose, as its initially powerful. Longevity 4 to 6 hrs, projection moderate becoming subtle after an hour. Cuban Glory is bold yet inquisitive, daytime only, presumptuous but a genre addition to any collection. It also mixes well adding top notes to other low note frags.
What do you really mean by longevity? It project about 2 hours and after the 3rd hour you can barely smell it on skin. Maybe after 7 hours it completely disappears.
I LOVE This fragrance! Smells so good on my skin! Also love the Dior Homme line, but for some reason does not smell good on my skin. Anyone know if Dior Homme or Dior Homme Intense is closer to this fragrance? Just curious, Love your channel btw! Peace
It does share some similarities with dior homme, but i would say like 15-20% similarities, yet it's a nice fragrance, i do get alot of coffee and chocolate,but like,smooth chocolate, i think it's a great fragrance for night outs or late night dinner dates.

Ok so i narrowed my choices down to...armani code ultimate, dior homme, and chanel allure homme sport eau extreme. i consider myself well dressed and classy, i've got that euro look to me as well aha so what would you recommend if i was going to buy one. i'm a big fan of givenchy play intense as well as notes of amber, tonka, and vanilla scents. armani code ultimate smells amazing but i want to be able to wear it to class as well (with mimimum sprays). let me know which one you'd suggest!

really like it, I am even using it by myself. I think its very interesting to wear it as a female, but I am still a little concernced if its not too masculine, a little twist in my perfume is great, whether the scent is for men or women, but I dont want it to be too obvious Im wearing mens perfume. So could Valentino Uomo get away as a Unisex? (even if its not labelled so)
Really enjoyed this fragrance but the damn LEATHER ruined it for me. That's the worst note for me but I love the bottle so I will force myself to love it.

I love this fragrances. There is one thing to clear up. Yes, the projection is barely average, but it does last on my clothing well over 1 day.

I had it like 4-5 months ago and It was my first fragrance I ever bought. I love the smell of those sweet candy stuff which is why I bought it. Love the bottle but there you go the projection isn't really good tho.

Gianduja is also written as gianduia. It's pronounced jahn-doo-yah with the accent on the middle. It's basically chocolate hazelnut paste aka nutella. Nutella was originally called pasta gianduja. I smelled this and thought it was nice. My wife first said it was great and then turned her nose up. So, mixed review on me.

whenever somebody of the caliber of you, Steve - or Marc - hypes this up, i go back to my sample to test it out again, hoping to get why y'all are raving about it so much, and every time my initial neutral-to-negative reaction gets reinforced. comparing it side-by-side with dior homme just decimates this scent utterly and completely. as Cody is fond of saying, take this as you may :)

Hi Steven, This bottle reminds me a little of Guerlain's bee bottle of Cologne Impériale. I have tried this fragrance i don't find this a typical gourmand fragrance even though it is a bit sweet. It's not overly sweet but subdued & more elegant it has a lot more depth. Great review .... Keep up the fantastic work Cheers Mate!

idk what yall are talking about with weak projection... i discovered this cologne bc some guy in my class wore it and i could always smell it, even 10-15 ft away. it wasnt that the guy was over spraying either... not overwhelming; even up close.
He knows how to wear this Cologne to perfection

There is no cap that comes with the bottle. its some plastic cover that prevents it from spraying, but it doesn't really work. I just threw it away.

They need to bring back the og formula. It was killer. I like the new 2021, but the 2014 was just its own league to me.
we've had this available for quite some time now, so i've tested it a LOT. to my nose, it's too similar to dior homme, but it lacks longevity and projection, and it turns sour on me after 2-3 hours. not bad at all, but if you already have dh, reform or original, this is superfluous. like the bottle a lot, though. will i buy it? nope. will i throw it out if given as a present? nope as well. i give it 5 out of 10, mostly on the strength of the bottle design

Do try _Cuban Glory_ by _Creation Lamis_ not expensive and worth collecting. Quite loud in initial sharpness, being unashamedly bold. Citrus with leathery flowers all surfing on middle notes. Some obfuscation into very high notes with citrus, maybe a tinge of sourness. Wait for the dry down before nose, as its initially powerful. Longevity 4 to 6 hrs, projection moderate becoming subtle after an hour. Cuban Glory is bold yet inquisitive, daytime only, presumptuous but a genre addition to any collection. It also mixes well adding top notes to other low note frags.

What do you really mean by longevity? It project about 2 hours and after the 3rd hour you can barely smell it on skin. Maybe after 7 hours it completely disappears.
It sits closer to the skin after the third hour. It gradually decreases until hour seven which is where it totally disappears.
really really like this one. a not to sweet complex notes and you really can pick them all up

dior homme. have you tried Valentino Uomo Intense? it's basically the same as Homme Intense, with worse performance
It does share some similarities with dior homme, but i would say like 15-20% similarities, yet it's a nice fragrance, i do get alot of coffee and chocolate,but like,smooth chocolate, i think it's a great fragrance for night outs or late night dinner dates.

Ok so i narrowed my choices down to...armani code ultimate, dior homme, and chanel allure homme sport eau extreme. i consider myself well dressed and classy, i've got that euro look to me as well aha so what would you recommend if i was going to buy one. i'm a big fan of givenchy play intense as well as notes of amber, tonka, and vanilla scents. armani code ultimate smells amazing but i want to be able to wear it to class as well (with mimimum sprays). let me know which one you'd suggest!

really like it, I am even using it by myself. I think its very interesting to wear it as a female, but I am still a little concernced if its not too masculine, a little twist in my perfume is great, whether the scent is for men or women, but I dont want it to be too obvious Im wearing mens perfume. So could Valentino Uomo get away as a Unisex? (even if its not labelled so)
