- With our winter van life adventure suddenly cut short we have returned to the uk. Since being back there’s a new van on the channel and Joanie (Lou’s mum) has been getting ready to start van life at 69!
With such a big shift in our plans for the year and our timeline going completely out the window many of you have had a lot of questions, so join us for a good old catch up where we will be discussing our next steps, travel plans, van modification plans and the all important question.. will Joanie be joining us??

Northumberland is fab. We lived there for 7 years and like you wondered why no one visits. If the weather warmed up the beaches would rival the tropics. Still not overly popular worth a visit. Very friendly.
Missed the live but nothing like a Monday morning laugh to get the work week started 😂Watch Foxes Afloat for comparisons between cost of narrow boat vs house. They made a video with a breakdown. They are funny as hell too. Love them 😊
I missed it but to be fair it was as entertaining watching three males watching you chat (and really enjoy the content) as it was just being on my own) it s nice to chat about the folk i watch otherwise it's just me and William my cat and i swear he rolls his eyes at times. Anyway, well done Louise and Emily for the good entertainment, i am pretty sure the boys will subscribe, they said "now we've watched the girls that you bang on about, we can see what good viewing their content is.' I am always amazed that some men have yet to realise that women are often far more intelligent than some men. Have a good week.

Southern Ireland is gorgeous. We stayed on the Beara Way. It’s beautiful. We stayed in a village called Eyries. Try getting there it’s stunning x

My favorite place in Ireland is the North Coast and you MUST do a day trip on the ferry over to Puffin Island!!
Very simple to do. Mr G did a superb job. I assume you have opted for the side swing away cycle carrier so you can open the barn doors with the bikes still attached. ❤ I saw quite a few of those in France. So next year you will be touring with bikes.

Ah, there are some super cute comments about you two on here and quite rightly so. I've just sat and done my nails and listened to your video with the occasional side glance at the TV. People want your merch because you brighten so many peoples lives. Therfore, wearing a top with 'Camper Vibe' on it is a lovely little reminder about the joy you bring. Hi ladies when you go to Finland make sure you take plenty of mosquito sprays as it is the worst country in Europe for them. But saying that it is a lovely country. Also lpg you can't get at petrol stations. They only do bottle gas so remember to factor that in on your trip. Have a fantastic trip hugs and kisses to you all xxx xxx

I think most drivers who were brought up on manual gearbox cars don't like automatics. Many years ago a colleague and I had to go out on business and we took a company pool car to do it, however it was an automatic and neither of us wanted to drive, so we tossed a coin for it and I lost. So, off we go, did what we had to do and then decided to stop off for lunch on the way back, parked at the side of the road. When we got back to the car I could not unlock the driver's side door, so I tossed the keys over the roof to my mate to see if he could get in the passenger side, it either unlocked it or it wasn't locked but either way in he jumps in, leans over and unlocks the driver's door and in I get. Seat belt on, looked down to check that it was in park before starting the engine and ... it was now a 5 speed manual gearbox, we'd got into the wrong car, "ours" was about 5 cars further up the road, same model and colour !!

Narrow boats are not that cheap. Initial cost of the boat, plus insurance, plus river & Canal waterways licences, plus maintenance of the engine & costs of cranes to get it out of the water to scrape the muck off the hull and repaint with anti-rust and anti-fouling treatment, plus purchasing all the different lock keys & windlasses to fit all the different size lock gates. Then if you want a permanent residential mooring these can be very pricey due to scarcity but if you decide on continuous cruising using the 48 hour visitor moorings you have the diesel cost on top, plus fuel for the heating which could be coal, wood or multi-fuel. With the government clamping down on the red/agricultural diesel tax discounts it's getting more expensive and the vendors are selling to a captive audience. You can hire a narrow boat for a couple of weeks to try it out to see if you like it. It could be a good video watching Em trying to shift one of those heavy lock gates! 🤣🤣

Hi Emily, bit late this week, been in France for a week. Just watched this weeks marathon - no wonder you were knackered at the end…I think you’ll be pleasantly surprised regarding the merch - up to you of course but don’t sell yourself short. My oldest mate is an illustrator and does band tee shirts, tour programmes etc and all of them make a good whack. He always finds it a strange feeling when someone passes him in the street wearing one of his designs. NC 500 just after easter holidays I suggest! Doing it now (b4 holidays) and its awesome and beyond words!! Do it Anticlockwise as it just gets better and better! Also include Isle of Skye/Old man of Storr!! Weather probably hit n miss but we got lucky, you might! Loads of wild camping spots and faboulous beaches/views .. Just do it!!!

You mentioned that the ride in your van is terrible. I have a citroen too, same size as yours which rides at maximum weight pretty much all the time. I got new springs from MAD suspension and it completely transformed the van. It rides a bit higher than stock and is way more comfortable than with the stock springs, especially on dirt roads. You should look into it. Would go great with those wheels you got too. 🙂

In Greece if I may recommend the Meteora Mountains and the Acheron river. Parga also has a couple of castles (one in the center of the town) and it is just stunning watching the sunset from the quay side.

Loads of places in Ireland… where do you start……i live in London but house in Fermanagh… going to Kerry in July. You should go to county Clare, loads of vanners there, Wicklow mountains also, Kerry, oh everywhere….. oh excited for you….
Just a tip for water boiling. If you boil the jug put the rest in a flask, you can either use it straight from the flask or reboil it, which takes less power because it is already hot. (I reboil for coffee but tea is fine out of the flask) I have three one litre flasks which I also use the water for cooking like boiling potatoes, vegetables or pasta. It saves time and money 😊
