DANKLUMI Well, he means the 1.4L Engine, which has 80 HP, and a Stock ST Mk6 (2.0L) has ~150 HP (thats the reason, why it's called ST150) Also the normal Fiesta has a better GoKart Feeling in my mind. But depending where you live, the Mk.6 can also be a Mk.5 (due to the Mk.4 Facelift, which is in most countries the Mk.5). The generation he drives, was produced from 2002 to 2008, so this might help you more.
it has indeed, since the mk6 all st models had a restricted wheelturn, the 'normal' fiesta's didn't have this. It was done to improve the 'feel' in corners though it needed alot more circleroom to turn around. In normal road conditions it was a con, though at high speed trackdriving it had it's benefits
I shocked a few people in my 2005 fiesta ST. Such a fun little car round the twisty’s, well planted and competent. I’ve upgraded to a 2018 mk8 fiesta ST now but I have to say I miss that little 2005 one, so raw and fun to drive, the car felt part of me. Happy times.
@@tadassmolskas3014 The Mk8 with the LSD is superb, really chuckable. I found the LSD took a little getting used to, as I have never had a car with one before. Feels like your on tram lines at times as it can pull you too one side and you fight it a little to keep your road position when driving fast. The Mk6/6.5 thought I will always have a love for. I love the size of the car compared to the Mk8, I just think cars keep getting bigger and more bloated and the Mk6 era was the last of the small hot hatches like the clio182 etc. Those cars are just so much more raw than the modern ones. If I could go back I would never have sold my mk6.5 and should have kept it as a second car but I wanted the Mk8 due to the extra power. For me personally I feel I can place the mk6.5 and hit the apex of a corner better than the Mk8 because of the huge A pillars they have. If I was to decide now weither to have a Mk6.5 on my drive or a Mk8, if I'm honest I'd probably have the Mk6.5 for the following reasons. 1. Looks better in my opinion. 2.Its smaller more pocket rocket size. 3.I honestly enjoyed driving it more. So to answer your question... Does the Mk8 handle better? My opinion is... Yes there's more grip due to the LSD. But... I'd still have the Mk 6.5 as I felt part of the car more, due to its size and small A pillars, so felt I could place it better on the road.
I agree with you, I miss my old Fiesta ST sometimes too! I used to own a facelift one from 07, I drive a mk3 Focus ST now which is a way better daily, more power, more luxury (because I have the full ST3 version) and more space, but the 07 Fiesta ST was so much fun to throw into a corner, I wish I didn't get rid of it all those years ago and kept it for the weekends!

excellent driving dude, ive got a fiesta st always wanted to drive it on a track but i must say whilst watching this i was looking at your fuel gauge going down lol these cars drink petrol also dont forget to change the power steering fluid after thrashing it on here will of boiled it black and your pump will whine!!! thats unless you have moved the bottle :D
Someone will finally explain it to me? Fiesta ST in the German catalogs and many others in the standard equipment has an ESP system and a heated windshield. This one has none (no button, no system). Why, please tell me.
MK6 even with 80hp can put a smile on your face on a nice twisty road, granted only when going downhill :D
simon199418 the mk6 st has 180
150....most of them even were more likely to only get 145 on the rollers...
There are video's of stock 1.8 civic Si's putting out 144-150 at the wheels on rollers. Thats i-vtec single cam.

Does the 2018 handle better or worse?

Great driving! I get my St this weekend and I can't wait to see what it can do. A trip out to The Nurburgring is a must I think...
Fiesta is a pure driver car. Even you have 68 hp diesel one :)
1.4TDCI :)
1.25ccm 75hp great sound and fun to drive
Ben de diyorum kim yazar böyle bir yorumu, elbette bir Türk :) Ahh Ford şu Fiesta'ya oldum olası düzgün bir dizel motor koymadın ya alacağın olsun.
1.3 is fun guaranteed aswell

Nice driving mate, cheers.
Seriously good drive dude! Seems you know the track pretty well. Make me miss my 06 Fezz ST after watching this.
Wheel sounds like Gran Turismo 1 PlayStation xD
Did you have cooked power steering fluid for dinner? LMAO
Awesome stuff!
Cara, parece som de jogo de NFS kkkkk top da galáxia
As a young driver insurance is a twat, so I dropped a 1.6 with a fat turbo in and a replica body And wheels of a ST150. My little beast!
you mean the 80hp tdci stock turbo
Excellent driving.
one of best from fiesta st
Now THAT is a gooood fucking driver 👌🏽
Very impressive!
Brilliant driver. From the st of course ;)
I’ve had 135 mph outta my st150 with a few mods love the mk6 st

Martin Barnes that explains why my power steering fluid is black and my pump is whining
@@C4_TOES common fault mate same on mine just need to buy the relocation kit
@@C4_TOES I’d just change the fluid 👍
nice driving pal! how do you compare mk6 St vs mk7 St in terms of driving? thanks
John Mar I think the mk6 feels more alive in your hands, maybe because the mk7 has electric steering. Mk7 is faster though ;)
Wonderful driving. Is that stock?
what tires are you using ?
good nice car, I have the same one,but without ST
Then you don't have the same one ;) You have the grandma version.
J'aime trop le ford fiesta 😍😍
Nice piece of driving!
MILITEC ?
Very nice drive 👍💪
Heavily modified?very cool finish too!
matthew roberts pumaspeed ps190 kit. Should be +-185hp. And a quaife diff.

I think it’s because this is a pre facelift model
@@michaelregan7417 This is the facelift model as the dash is the facelift one.
It’s an option when new
nice
Not bad ;) (I used bridgestone turanza t005 195/50R15 tyres in 1.4i mk6)
what year is that car?
2006, 2007 or 2008.
insane cornering
Pocket full of fun
sweet ride bro!!
Overtaking right on Nordschleife? lol
Good job!
mk7 has the torque vectoring too ;)
Knowing how to corner is a very different skill from knowing how to accelerate down a straight (not really a skill at all)…
Nice one matey , fucking slow drivers piss me off bigtime
good show son
He is telling porsche to speed up hahhhaa
This sound *-*
