The funny thing (at 4:00) they mention Ashlee Simpson and the lip-synching controversy and she didn't know what (who?) that was...and Ashlee ends up being her daughter-in-law. Who'da thunk it?
She has talked about the extensions many times; they are no secret but they are glamorous. Skin bleaching unlikely, given she is very health conscious. Probably excellent makeup and lighting. All the Motown ladies learned those skills and how to make the most of their natural-given looks.
She was never dark. Even in the earliest videos of the supremes she looks exactly how she looks now. In the 70s she looked darker because she was living in LA where there's lots of sun and beaches... Compared to Detroit.

Diane happened to attend a truly excellent and famous Detroit high school. She always said she wasn't much of a student because she knew she would become a big record star but in fact she did stand out in many ways and she had come to high school from an elementary school for talented children. I have always believed Diana was born ambitious and serious about being someone important and accomplished. She was fortunate to have two parents who were great role models and who reared several children who have achieved outstanding lives.
Evidentally Berry Gordy knew what kind of voice Ross had.and chose to utilize it.every other female girl group from Motown had strong voices so, he knew Ross's voice would capture a wider (white)audience.People mistake a powerful voice for being better than a soft delicate voice..and thats not always true.Of course Ross cant sing like Whitney,their voices are totally different but Ross helped pave the way for Whitney being a black female singer.

omg! diana is 62 here, now she is 64 and she looks healthy and youthfull!!! i think up in till your 70s and possibly early 80s you can look youthfull, mid 80s and 90s and beyond its a nother story, but you can always look great no matter the age!

@judyross28 I've been lucky enough to see her 14 times at different venues (mainly MEN Manchester and NEC in Birmingahm)...and also at Wembley Arena. Incredible and so uplifting! Her USA tour keeps getting extended so it moves further away from us, BUT I have heard that there are talks of her coming to Europe eventually so fingers crossed!! :)

The "piece de resistance" came when the contestants sang a "Diana Ross" medley that were songs that were not hers alone, they belonged to the legendary SUPREMES! It rightly should have been called a "Supremes Medley!"Please don't talk to me about that woman!

@discobrian well u cant please everyone...the 2004 concerts were some of the best. at the PANTAGES in LA she performed the show of her life. I then saw her in Arizona and it was just her in the round..exceptional in a different way. But 2004 was a revelation.
