I've just found your channel and am in love with it. I'm a Brazilian living in the UK and ready to immigrate to Australia as soon as my visa application is completed. I've watched another of your videos where you talked about the Aussie culture. After seeing that video I fell even more in love with Australia as Australians seem to be as laid back, informal and friendly as Brazilians and as polite and respectful as British people. It seems in Australia I'll get the best features from each country☺️
@@tadeubernacchi3360 Great! Hopefully you'll enjoy it😎
Your videos are so informative and crystal clear. Thanks
when learning the national anthem "Advance Australia Fair" you only need to learn the 1st verse, nobody in Australia knows the 2nd verse lol
haha! I had no idea!! I asked my Aussie partner if that's true, and he said: that's 100% correct. (lol)
Applying for my TSS Visa. Moving to Sydney as soon as that's processed! Your videos are an absolute lifesaver!!!

Wow, so useful Martina,thanks 🙏🙏
fantastic job again my friend!
This great video
Thanks for sharing this video
Thank you for these videos - super helpful. I arrive from the UK to live permanently in Adelaide on 27th March (2023) so knowing how to socialise and converse is important. I don't mind if it takes a while to get used to the slang, but I want to avoid offending anyone, so knowing about making appointments to meet up, importance of time keeping etc. is really appreciated.
I finally got my student visa and will arrive in Melbourne this December. Gonna do a marathon of your vids to get me prepared hehe
Wow that was fast! Congrats Alexis!! Amazing news :)
@@livingsimplyaustralia thank you. I got my visa 23 days after lodging it. 😊 was also very surprised to get it as fast as that. Looking forward to a new chapter in my life and i might bump into you in the streets of Melbourne. 😅 your videos will be very helpful in my adjustment to my life in Australia. Thank you very much.

I love to hear from new Australians and new immigrants, as to how they find Australia. No country is perfect, but I do love our compulsory voting, so we all have a say in our democracy. Thanks for a great episode of your channel.
compulsory Democracy Sausage
Sue but she won't pass a citizens test thinking Australia day is a celebration of the first fleet. And not the federation when all 6 colonies become one nation.1901
Australia does not celebrate the first fleet. Australia day is celebrating the federation.
Nice
Great video, thank you so much. I would like to know the Australians' habits regarding the sun and how they protected themselves in the city and on the beach as well. Thanks in advance.
For sure! :)
We have a couple of things:
1 - no hat, no play policy in all primary schools. So if kids don’t bring a hat to school they’re not allowed to play out in the sun.
2 - The ‘Slip, slop, slap’ advertising campaign. So it’s Slip on a shirt, slop on sunscreen and slap on a hat. Australians are very aware of the damage the sun can do. 😊❤️🇦🇺👍🏼
Hy
Super
And good luck also to Reign
You are very wise, very beautiful and very interesting
Thinking about moving from Seattle. Would you recommend?
Great video! But I have a question about the acknowledgment of culture ceremony, do you have to do it in business meetings or with clients?
Well, it does not happen that often, and it doesn't take long, it's usually just people reading a paragraph or two about the acknowledgment, and usually in event with many people like a semiar or big meeting.
Also depending of the organisation you are working for or where you are. Private companies/businesses don't do it that often. While government organisations do that more often.
Also you don't do it with like a meeting with clients, unless as mentioned, if it's a big event with many people attending then you might choose to do it once at the beginning.

Hi, so i heard that you are argentinian, i AM Brasilian, i AM looking for a back UP country to escape if the New government here Will make the sames policies that led to the downfall of the argentina economy.
Did you move for Austrália for the same reason? I AM studying the visas and How to move If things get ugly here...
By the way... I live on argentina border... I Go there every saturday to buy Ice cream !
Thank you for your vídeos!
Hi Robert, the main reason I moved to Australia was to study in another country and experience new life adventures (I was only 21 years old when I decided to make the move, so it wasn't really for political reasons). But my dad does live in Brazil and he was telling me a bit about the current situation there. I hope it doesn't get too bad, because it'd be a shame (Brazil is such an amazing and happy country, one of my favourites). Anyway, thank you for your comment :)
You only talk about aboriginals and what the English told them to do. The acknowledgement of the country is not a tradition. It's a totally new thing forced by the Anglo-Australian government. Most of the time there are no aboriginals left in those areas as over 90% got decimated by the Anglo-Australians. They do the same in Canada. Soon we will have to use the phrase ' first nations' just like in North America. This doesn't come from the aboriginal Australians whose land still is occupied and they face a lot of discrimination from the government and the police.
Hi Luke. Thank you for your comment. I've mentioned this in another video - the fact that as a migrant, I haven't had much exposure to the aboriginal culture of this country and I consider myself not educated enough on the subject. I've been liaising with some people who work in the field to be able to try to make a comprehensive video about it (because again, I don't have authority in the area - I'm only familiar with typical protocols such as those mentioned in the video and have been trying to educate myself through sources like Aiatsis ). Are there any reliable resources that you could recommend so we can become more educated on such an important topic? or any suggestions on how to make sure that the narrative around these issues is more accurate? Thank you again, Martina.
