My old man bought a new Cressida 2.0 saloon in 1979 and he really loved that car. He would have been amazed at what you've done to your Cressida. Awesome work! Respect.
I've been following that build from, almost, the beginning. She is brilliant and very skilled. I hope she does a road trip video with that car someday, because I really want to see it in person.
There’s an RX30 here in New Zealand with the same engine that was built years ago (but with ITB’s - video somewhere on YT). The issue with the Toyota V12 is weak con rods, hence the lowish horsepower and rpm limit.
Holy shit, this wins, you can close the internet now. It doesn't get any better/more absurd than this unless we start taking velocipedes on hill climbs
Dude! You have all kinds of room to turbo it! It sounds way better with a turbo, less “raspy” (sounds like a Lambo with a turbo). What a beautiful build! I love it!
The V12 is about 280hp stock. About an 81mm bore which is fine. Its not the horsepower it makes, its the torque - and from the V12 its totally massive! You're talking like 400lb/ft from about 1500 rpm. The V8 I think you are talking about, is about 250 or so stock, around 245 lb/ft torque - but nothing in the same game as the V12.
I just said the same thing, wheels kill the entire look, and yes, while blue silicone is the ugliest thing is existence, you can keep the hood closed... ain't no hiding those wheels 😅
I drove one of these as a daily for a friend without a licence when I was 16, I always wanted to buy it and modify it, but they wouldn't sell, this was in 2000 was mint condition. Still is mint.
v12 is cool because its not common. but there are more common engines that can much or even beat the performance of that v12...for a guy with not much extra money like me, i would go with the more affordable engines

Larry, you should feature Sarah -n- tuned.. She is building a 71 Celica with a tundra motor. Very clean build.

Southeast Asia has been going hard in the modding scene for a while
That wagon project is SO bitchin'!!!!! And he had it loaded up with parts to take home. That's super cool.
Dope. Wagons rule. Looks like a Japanese Volvo 240, kinda. Love it.
Cant wait for you to see my twin turbo v12 sti at sema in a couple weeks
Awesome Video Bro!!!👌
Amazing work! Congrats!
super cool!!!!
As a former 79 Supra owner the Cressida is a dream of mine
Yes, more Cressida Love.
Awesome build, done it just perfectly ❤❤❤
Epic ........❤Town South Africa SDA
Sounds good 👌🏿
It’s not from a 95/96 Century. The V12 started in 1997. People do weird stuff LOL. I love Cressidas & Centurys. I’ve owned 3 total of those 2 models.
Century v12 wow

What a beautiful build! I love it!
Depends on the manifold
Great stuff as always 👍
Awesome build
I love the century so so much.
Put an X pipe on it!!! Takes it towards the Ferrari v12 sound.
These two cars are dream cars! Very cool builders
The LS of the East
14:25 - The _proper_ Century, the limousine version, uses the 5.0 V8 Hybrid powertrain from the Lexus LS600h. It's the SUV spin-off that uses a V6.
Nice project 😍 awesome engine
I am building my own V12 supercar with the OG zonda engine 😎 Merc M120💪
insane build, what a find larry
it doesn't have 18k brilliant exhaust. But it sounds very good
If you know, you know.
The mostest😎
How does a V12 only make 250hp? I'm so confused. Super small pistons?
5 liter, low compression and low rpm meant for a smooth and luxurious drive. Think of it like its for a rolls royce
@@jaydenstramel562 Illuminating. Thanks!

@@jaydenstramel562 The V12 has a 10.5 : 1 compression ratio, thats not low compression.
I love the build, and how everyone is going back to manual trans builds, in Larry’s next video; “1979 Boeing 737 with manual transmission!”
😆
Yeah love them manual V12s 💪
Lmfao nice one 😂
People will swap a manual into literally anything just for internet clout points, or whatever kids call it these days
Actually the new Toyota Century switched back to V8 power, but now with a hybrid help
❤❤❤❤
Is this the V12 that is in the Top Secret supra?
Yes it is
i love too see this kind content Larry u one the GOAT's
Chad B @CBMeda404 is going to be sooo jealous that you got to do these beauty's before him 🤭
Gotta check out 1lowrx twin turbo v12 WRX! Sounds a lot nicer, but this wagon is so cool
hey thanks! 😊
@@1lowrx no problem dude! 🤙
My late father used to drive exactly the same car back in early 80s in Singapore, but not V12😂 This V12 swapped Cressida sounds insanely good 👍
Man those wheels are killing me 😂
...and the Pep Boys under-hood vibe of blue silicone. Feels like the v1.0 "Just get it running" iteration of this car.
I just said the same thing, wheels kill the entire look, and yes, while blue silicone is the ugliest thing is existence, you can keep the hood closed... ain't no hiding those wheels 😅
Just found you, and I love your approach. Definitely love this car! Definitely record it in a tunnel...
Dude!
Lmao great intro team with the revs!

3 on the tree......havent heard that in a long time 👍🏾👍🏾
Wow, Kewl!
Thank God it wasn't an la swapped
Fueltech Brazil....
Yes. Very, very definitely feature Sarah’s V8 Celica.
NA with anti-lag 😆🤣😂

Cool build but can we please help educate the world 🌎 antilag can only exists on turbo engines.
Interesting vehicle # larry Chen NO
well that is unusual
haha like that the LS of the East
Daym that's cool
The sound reminds me of Le Mans racing cars from the 60's and 70's.
Love hot-rodding!
I had a 90 Cressi, loved it, so special but two BHG in one year made me sell it. The new owner put an LS Chevy in it.
That’s what car shows should be like,
nice cars, indoors and on the 2step limiter.
The wheels kill it.... everything is so good except for the wheels 😅
GILA BABI! v12 cressida !!!!!!!!!!
Oh wow
Only 300??? 😭
1995 don't forget....torque is still there.
What is this legends instagram Larry?
Sounds good 👌🏿
