Talking about mental health and "taboo" topics has become a tiny bit safer since BTS kicked the door open on the matter. They have created so many paths and trends for the following generations to have a smoother time coming up.
@@kevinmell0you do react to BTS Hardships you can understand why they looked down in the shows ruclips.net/video/EdY6wnLsetQ/видео.html&pp=ygUNYnRzIGhhcmRzaGlwcw%3D%3D
This video is really helpful for understanding and seeing things as they are so I'm glad you gave it a watch. Out of all videos this one and The Rise of Bangtan docu series by ARMY are easily the best and a must see. Put The Rise of Bangtan on your list definitely!! 💜
There was one super uncomfortable variety show where the two male hosts kept focusing on Jimin and devising ways to keep touching him and try to get kisses out of him. It was suuuuuper unprofessional, but the guys kind of tried to laugh it off until they could just be done already.
@@kevinmell0 yeah there was also few that would literally only talk to RM JK Jimin bc they were "popular members", but they started so how could they promote if they didn't even want to talk do them, or would cut parts with some members from show. When you watch this old episodes of shows it is so obvious. That is also why this ugh bad situation with Jimin that Anne write about. You literaly almost never saw Suga parts bc he is less loud most times so they didn't show him... They same V, He come from his shell but at begining... Another exapmles were questions that hosts asked always uncomfortable or in a way to put them down or make it sems less of work they did. There were shows that they were with different people and then you could see how different standards were for people :/ Akso when BTS got really big, korean media down played things they did, only waiting for slip. Almost never reporting things, or doing it but like "not first page thing" when global media would talk non stop. I could give you a lot examples with name of shows but I don't know if it is worth looking in to it. With time if you stay with them, look into them, you will see this things.
V is really handsome(choosen for most handsome man in the world) and he has an aura that only V has. He is the most popular idol. he collects every man and woman's heart
As Suga, he's a member of BTS and respectful of their image. When he goes by AgustD, he is his raw, unedited self, and it's understood that AgustD's views are his own. Hence the swearing, which they use appropriately (not like other rappers that use f* as punctuation)
Thank you for the reaction... I'm a bit surprised by some of the comments, ARMY are usually overwhelmingly positive... I'd say make sure to actually pause if you want look at the chat to avoid losing any info and you will be alright! 😊 I think you have genuine interest to know more and I hope this doesn't discourage you from carrying on into this journey, because it's a surprising and amazing one 💜 I think it can be frustrating for some because this video lays foundations and gives important keys of understanding. BTS content is immensely vast, layered and can become complex very fast, it's all about depth, hidden meanings and requires focus and curiosity as you might see later down the road. Every detail counts, there's nothing superficial. Also BTS' name is often being used to meet other's interests so it's normal that we can be skeptical and we are aware of the power we have.. But regardless of how frustrating it can be and of all these factors, it doesn't grant them the right to be disrespectful, instead I think ARMY should always leave positive criticism and respectfully give advice to improve, as long as no one disrespected them. I see you already have a good amount of recs so Imma just leave it at this! As you've done so far keep it genuine, keep an open mind, ask all and any questions and we'll make sure to answer them ;)
Thanks for this comment friend, I know it’s all in good intention but harm or disrespect never shadows intention you know? I am gonna keep a better eye on how I pause or rewind onwards lol.. And I can totally get the “clout” deal, but to be fair my channel popped off with my Uholy Sam Smith video which was long before I did any kpop 😅 but man I’ve loved the journey, not only with BTS. Just have never had this kind of criticism over something I personally feel is not a big deal. Oh well I am livin and LEARNIN 😫
@@kevinmell0I get that it might not seem like a big deal to you, but I have to say that I am struggling to get through your reaction because your livestream format keeps annoying and frustrating me, and here is why. When I excitedly click on a reaction video to something I love it kind of feels frustrating and even close to disrespectful when the reactor is looking at what user4567 is writing in chat and missing things in the video. Don’t get me wrong, I am sure user4567 is great, and maybe AFTER the video is done they will have some amazing information and insights that would be helpful to you, and fun for us to see you respond to in real time, but yeah… as long as the video you are reacting to is not finished yet I just REALLY don’t want you to focus on anything else. Pause however much you want and need to read or make comments about it, because I want you to read it all and to hear your thoughts, but don’t get distracted by chat and taken out of what is going on in the video. That is my perspective. I have definitely seen worse cases than you, and I have been able to get through the first half hour because you aren’t too extreme when it comes to how often and how long you look at chat, and because you don’t seem like you are outright uninterested or indifferent, so I definitely hope you will continue your journey into BTS regardless of whether or not I will be a part of it. It is a journey that is definitely worthwhile and rewarding 💜
@@kevinmell0 okay, made it to 49:48 but I am stopping here as it only seems to be getting worse and V and Jimin have been too frustrating to get through for me to feel like I can get through anymore. I really tried, but I don’t think it is healthy for me to start screaming at my phone in frustration and that is where I am at 😅
V has been named The Most Handsome Man in the World by multiple media outlets around the world, and professional fashion photographers groups. He's graced the cover (6 different versions) of Vogue Korea just last month (the first of BTS members), and oh LORD, they are SOOOO BEAUTIFUL. I love BTS - they are my children - but V, is my kryptonite. Everything from his deep, soulful, warm honey voice to his visual, to his personality, are just incredibly aesthetic - in the most personal, deep and meaningful way - to me. Thank you for taking the time to watch this with us!
RM’s rap song is Joke. It’s hard to find it with English subtitles, but it’s worth listening to. Suga’s song is Daechwita. Watch the official MV. Daechwita is the traditional military music performed while marching or for announcing the king’s entrance.
please for longer and informational videos please dont do it on live stream you miss so much and it also removes you from the vibe of the video if its emotional you were laughing at something chat said which took your focus away from the video otherwise loved the reaction. to learn about the mistreatment by the industry and just overall struggles react to bts hardships 2013 - 2021 by xceleste, the mistreatment of bts by affectaed and boracity magazines videos like bts vs radio for example. id also highly suggest bbygangmags videos too.
Thanks for watching friend! Like I said to another viewer, I did rewind and pause when I missed something. Maybe I missed more than i thought, and maybe you can timestamp it for me so I can go back! But, the emotional parts definitely resonated with me. Maybe not the same they did with you, but reactions are all different and this was just mine. I can easily multitask with a chat and video as I used to stream on twitch a lot. Thank for the recommendations though, and I’ll look into their mistreatment bc I would love to see more about that issue 🙏🏽
@@kevinmell0 hey i just came back and wanted to stress my comment wasnt meant to be negative and if it upset you in any way im sorry for that. i see some are a little snarky in the comments and i dont want you to perceive my comment that way. it was just a suggestion but i can see how my comment can be read as a demand. at the end of the day its your channel as long youre getting correct information and at least the general idea im okay with that. i see many reactors doing live streams nowadays and it takes some practice to be able to not get too distracted i know you have twitch but youtube community especially armys are a little different youre not the first reactor to get this flak but tbh some "deserve" it more than others. yours was not the worst ive seen theres some who barely read at all and dont even know what the video was about cause they were paying attention to their chat which defeats the purpose of reacting at that point. basically what im saying is try not to take comments too seriously you wont please everyone all the time (including me) so as long you feel youre learning about them then i think its okay :) the more you react the more your questions will be answered anyway so even if you miss something youll probably see it again later on when you react to that specific content. also youll soon see that armys are not a monolith were all different ages, ethnicity, nationality, speak different languages come from different cultures etc so some times you may get comments that might not make sense to you in the way youre doing something cause itll be normal for viewers from your country/culture but people may see it as a slight cause of differences. try not to take it personally its a learning curve. example ive seen armys from a different culture get upset at the wording of a tongue in cheek saying/phrase we have in the states many took it literally, things like that or sarcasm or just random things may be misunderstood. as long youre genuine youll get support from armys ive only ever seen armys turn their backs on racists and just overall hateful reactors. youre not that. i get we can be overwhelming thats another reason why i suggested videos from the channels in my first comment many of those videos will make your journey easier :)
@@kevinmell0 yikes ok so i refreshed and i see whats happening now. okay so since youre new and youre also a multi channel you dont know this. basically the people calling you clout chaser or being very overly rude/hateful those are most likely trolls pretending to be armys. thats a thing many kpop stans do because they hate armys so they want us to get hate so they set us up like this to make you think armys are horrible so youll stop reacting to bts or even become a hater. its happened many times theres proof on other social medias but its difficult to prove on youtube. i highly highly suggest reacting to the hardships 2013 - 2021 by xceleste video soon and read the part especially at the 7:55 mark on that video its a example of whats occurring in your comments. and just for a broad coverage id say react to the mistreatment of bts by affectaed and are bts stans toxic duh everyone is by bbygangmag all 3 of these will help you a lot moving forward with any fan community tbh but especially army vs kpop fandoms. there are armys who are hateful miserable people dont get me wrong but im always skeptical about "armys" who comment those type of things cause ive seen non armys doing that so many times.
I also enjoyed BTS From Nobodies to Legends. Sorry I missed the live....thanks for watching an introduction! Keep in mind as you continue your journey, just how important the explanation videos are....what I love most about these young men is their brilliant songwriting. ARMY grandma
Thank you for reacting. Appreciate it. However please don’t look at the chat when the video is playing. You missed quite a few information when you’re looking away.😭 If you wish to look at the chat, do pause the video. Thank you for taking interest in our boys. I would suggest that you do these kind of informative videos without the live chat. Just my suggestion but it’s your channel, so you do you. I think quite a few other ARMYs have responded to your questions as well. So I’ll leave it as it is here. Thank you.
BTS is a powerhouse of talented members...name it, thry all have it in their team. That makes them standout among the rest. Watch the documentary of Rice Squad too A Beautiful Life Goes On: A Story of BTS. It summarizes BTS achievements from their humble beginnings to present.
I think there may be a difference with multitasking watching a video and responding to those in chat when there are subtitles. If it’s auditory, you can take in both but if there are subtitles, no one can read chat and subtitles at the same time. For me, every word of this introductory video is one that I want to see a reactor catch. But it is your channel and your videos so do as you please ✌️
I enjoyed your reaction. I found you very engaged with the video. I liked your running commentary and questions. In a very general sense, before BTS broke the mold: K-pop is an industry not a genre. Like Hollywood is an industry but not a genre if that makes sense. K-pop used to be, again in general, very Mickey Mouse bubble gum pop that was shallow, singing about crushes or boasting about how bad ass they are, focused mainly on finding members to fill groups that visually meet a concept, handed a song and told to sing and dance so BTS singing about finding your dreams, loving yourself, depression, criticizing the norm, writing and producing their own music, etc was an anomaly. And in Korea, your origins/organization are super important. So them coming from a near bankrupt small company, they were looked down on and not treated well. Bc they were seen as lower hierarchy than the shows they appeared on. So for “laughs” they were insulted and disrepected all in the name of fun. The richer/bigger your company the more they fawn on you and won’t dare disrespect you. Hope some of that helps.
FYI:!Namjoon’s solo album “Indigo” will be dropping on 2nd December 2022, I am so freaking excited to hear it and what story or message he wants to tell us, so proud of my Bias Joon. 💜💜💜💜💜💜 Loved your reaction Love from Australia.
@@kevinmell0 the vid is more important. If you have questions then ask chat, give some time, then pause the vid and read chat. Not that hard. Not being toxic, just constructive criticism.
The channel xCeleste has a video called BTS HARDSHIPS 2013-2021 | Racism, mistreatment, accusations + more | Struggles throughout the years. It goes into more detail about the hardships BTS have had throughout the years Lyrics in kpop are usually very surface level and mental health is not something often discussed in South Korea in general ($uicide rates are actually pretty high in SK especially for the youth) so for any artist to discuss something like that in their music is kind of risky. BTS in the past had been pretty close to being blacklisted in South Korea for criticizing the Korean government and school system. Yes, RM is tallest member in BTS. The song you liked is called Joke off his first mixtape. It was just confirmed today that RM's first official solo album will be called Indigo and it's coming out December 2, 2022. The song from Suga you liked is called Daechwita off his second mixtape called D-2 (the song titles are in the top corner of the video). They don't curse often in their group music, but yes they do curse in their music especially the rap line who are more inclined to do it in their solo music. Yes they were criticizing BTS for wearing make up calling them girls, even though every person in the entertainment industry men and women wear make up Vlive is actually ending at the end of 2022, and I don't if the lives will be switched to another site or not. I believe they are trying to stream on weverse now. There is a fictional storyline called the BU (Bangtan Universe) which runs through many BTS music videos and other content Keep in mind when Jungkook says he was 15 he was actually 13 because international age is 1 or 2 years younger than Korean age James Corden actually got into a bit of trouble last year from ARMY because he made a joke about ARMY (basically generalizing BTS fans as teen girls) when BTS spoke at the UN and BTS actually went on his show a few months later and they talked about it a little. I will say this though the videos of them on James Corden are a fun watch. They played hide n seek with Ashton Kutcher, did a crosswalk concert on his show, and the famous carpool karaoke.
Man you aced all my questions pretty much!! Lol thank you so much for that info I can’t wait to do the insane/complain on those songs (: I didn’t know that I may have to check out those James cordon videos, only for BTS’s sake tho u know lol
I think it's unfair to say you missed a lot of info. I think you did a pretty good job but do feel this sort of video is better without live chat. Subbed to see how you go, enjoying your content so far 🙂
Thanks for subbing friend! I have some cool series coming up, including solo’s over a bunch of different BTS and plenty other artists songs 🙏🏽🖤 I really appreciate those words and am happy you’re here
if you watch enough videos of their appearances on Korean shows you will see how they were treated. But, there is one video in particular that enraged ARMY. Look up : "Jungkook and the hamburger incident." He was only 16/17 at the time and appearing by himself alongside other Kpop idols.
I remember getting up in the middle of the night to watch this live, and I was SO, SO upset for him. It hurt my heart so much that they made him feel like he was nothing. I know he eventually moved on and actually worked them again, but I honestly can't move on and will never watch anything those hosts are in - except for BTS content... as if my watching will keep them safe from evil hosts. 😈
BTS no es sólo un grupo es parte de mi familia, son mis hijos del corazón los amo a éstos siete ángeles que alegraron mi vida y Jimin es mi regalón e inspiración BTS Forever LEYENDA!!!

wanted to comment bc some of these comments seem to come of a little harsh? i think, i don't think u missed much, nothing mayor or anything like that, at least imo :)) glad ur liking them, 💜 from Argentina
@@kevinmell0 I agree. I’m easily irritated by people who focus on the chat to the point that they miss stuff and don’t rewind or pause. I didn’t feel like you did that. You replayed things you may have missed the first time and you were clearly reading the words. I’m sure it’s hard to balance the chat and video but you did well! 💜
Wanted to comment here as well in case my reply gets buried. You asked for timestamps on when you missed stuff because of the live chat. Copied and pasted from my original message: @Kevin Mello (Edit to add: I am writing this comment and trying to be as respectful as possible. I don't mean this to be criticism so much as commentary on my experience as a viewer, and I hope I don't come across aggressive or mean.) So I saw these comments before I watched your video and decided to keep an eye out since you asked for timestamps. I do think that overall you were fairly engaged with the video, but now that I'm done I can say that there in fact a lot of times you looked away from the video to look at chat and something passed by on screen that I don't think you fully caught, and there was no rewinding for these. These are just my opinion, and in some cases I think you got the general idea anyway, but it was definitely frustrating in some parts since it seemed like you were more pre-occupied with the chat. I made notes on some but not all occurrences. 18:45 20:59 28:45 30:10 33:14 34:19 - you missed parts of RM's speech 39:13 39:43 40:52 - when you weren't looking at the chat you were talking instead and I don't think you caught what was happening in the video at all during this bit 41:40 - you missed some of the captions on V's speech (but got the overall idea) 42:58 46:26 49:26 - this one was the most frustrating out of the whole video for me 😔 52:06 Again, I think overall you were very interested in the video, but just looking at this it's not fair to say that you went back and rewound the video every time when you were distracted by the chat. I did hear you say that you might just rewatch the live later at one point in this vid, so if you do that/have done that, it will probably help you catch the things you missed. Maybe it will be more apparent just how much you were looking away from the video, especially in the later half, when you watch it for yourself as well.
Thank you for taking the time to post those time stamps, I will say I only checked out one so far, the one that most frustrated you.. and I just have to say we have different opinions on a 2 second glance to the chat being considered not paying attention 😅 plus, those people in chat are just as deserving of my time as you are.. but I will check out the rest later. Thanks for commenting again 🙏🏽
@Felicia Forward, you did great with your time stamps, he asked for it and when someone did as he asked, he make excuses and didn’t learn anything from your time and effort. It seems like he along with a lot of reactors start with BTS to get Army views. Once they get followers, the reactors start acting like they are the celebrities holding court with live chat 😖 Army need to stop following and giving clout to people so easy.
@@blt565 I stated the truth, that we have different opinions of what disregarding is and how the chat deserves my attention too… spotted the toxic fan 🤢
@@kevinmell0 Absolutely! It is definitely entirely possible that I was underestimating your ability to multitask and to read the information more quickly than I could. Overall I enjoyed your reaction and I truly believe you enjoyed the video and learned a lot. I did my best to be fair about selecting timestamps here, and there were a lot more times where you did glance away from the camera but looked back quickly enough that you didn't miss anything. Some of the other timestamps have moments where a subtitle or caption appears on screen right as you're looking away and disappears before you look back again, which would be a clear case where you couldn't possibly have read the info without rewinding. I did my best to only include moments like that, but I may have misjudged in some cases. I definitely understand wanting to interact with the chat, as well - it can be super helpful and honestly a good time to be able to ask questions and have them answered immediately, as well as the fact that it's just fun to watch things in real time with other people. But, generally, I find that when people react to videos like this one during a livestream instead of on their own time, it can detract from the experience (sometimes more and sometimes less, depending on the reactor themselves). So I understand where some people are coming from when they say that maybe this particular video would have been better to skip the Livestream. In the end, though, just do what makes you ahppy. It's your channel, your life, your time, and your content that's being put out for free, after all.
@@faliciaforward I totally know what you mean, I was torn between what I should do because I had bee recommended both so I just went with the livestream. Truly if I knew it would’ve been such a point of contention for some viewers I would’ve never done it 😞 and I TRULY wanted to talk to those people in the chat, idk. I’ve been there in a situation where you’re in a livestream because you just need someone to listen to, or talk to, for whatever reason. I think that those conversations can be so valuable sometimes and I would hate to take a comment or greeting from someone for granted. On the other hand, I know the objective of the video was to watch it and learn. I will go back and review your time stamps like I said, thank you so much for sticking around and watching the video again ❤️
Yes, there is footage of mistreatment. To get a glimpse of what they've endured watch XCeleste's BTS Hardships. They had to fight the industry from day one. Kpop was dominated by 3 major companies, they had the money and control over which artists where featured on weekly music shows and talk shows. BTS made their way in spite of it all with sheer will, work ethic, intelligence and ARMYs.
All of them are good and unique but V is my ultimate bais coz of his magnificent personality, unreal visuals and deep baritone voice. I can't take off my eyes from him. My eyes are always searching for him among all of them. He is most handsome man in the world for multiple years and I saw him in the list of most handsome man in the world and I fell for him😍💕
After watching a bit of this, I wondered if army in comments would feel the same and I was right. Then his replies to comments 🤦🏽♀️ Dude we’re only watching this because its BTS and its exciting to see someone get to know them but if you’re going to get butthurt by criticism, just turn off your comments. To continue getting views, at least take on the feedback. Like hello if its majority of comments are giving you the same feedback then maybe they’re valid. I don’t agree with the name calling but some people have been nice about it and you’re still replying with an attitude. I hope one day you genuinely turn into an Army and cansee this from our point of view.
Thank you so much for reacting to this introduction. It'll be easier for you to recognize the members in the videos you react to from now on. I love your reactions. Your comments are interesting and your choice of songs are uncommon. Songs like Dis-ease and So What don't usually come up early, so I'm always curious about what songs you'll choose next. Please always be yourself and choose whatever songs you're interested in. I'll try to help whenever you ask for recommendations for specific types of songs.
Glad you watch this I enjoy it very much!! ☺💜Btw James Corden messed up one time with BTS and ARMY before too, calling BTS fans "15 year old girls" after BTS went to UN to perform so yeah we know he's not a good person. But even after that, BTS still go to his show and was being kind and forgive him. That's how kind and humble BTS are. BTS might be forgiving but I'm not so I wont forget that🙃
Why don’t you put the chat you are reading in the same direction as the video then it won’t be so annoying for your viewers. Then you can read all you want and miss as much of the video as you want, we will never know. Personally l don’t like lives because the comments seem to be more important than the video. Another suggestion would be to have the comments after the video so you can reply and comment on what you want to know, that way you would please people who want to watch the video with you and also your viewers who want to talk to you. The video was more about the information not all about the songs. I hope you do go back and watch yourself (as a viewer, ) you will see how annoying it was.
Friend, the video is for whatever I want it to be. It was me, reviewing the Intro to BTS. I don’t need to have my eyes glued to the screen like a child to retain information. I’m sorry you didn’t enjoy it, and hope you can find some peace eventually in this simple introduction to BTS video, but it’s not fair to put your own interest in front of those who were in the chat to talk.
@@kevinmell0 the people in chat want you to watch the damn video. That's why they are there. If they just want to talk, then just put just chatting in the title. Not hard to distinguish the two.

Thanks Gina, but I feel it’s respectful and necessary to talk to those in chat… I know you’re just saying this, but I’ve gotten immense slack for taking time to talk to chat. The point of a livestream is to watch or play something, and interact with chat. I didn’t realize it would be such an issue for others, but I’m showing love across the board and wouldn’t put anyone in a corner solely because someone else wants me to pay “more attention” to the video. I just wouldn’t want that done to me; so I won’t do it to others. I didn’t realize it would be such an issue. Thank you for watching the video ❤️

Yeah, some rappers, pissed because RM and Suga went Idol so they try to embarrass the guys by calling them girls for wearing makeup - pretty weak BS. where are those bad boys now? "Mic Drop" says it all, haters! When V and Jungkook were getting hell for [allegedly] being in a relationship, Suga sent them texts urging them to hang tough, and not let the haters get them down. Suga backs them 100% and wrote that he loves them because its true. He just hates to see them catch hell.
You did so much better than most with the chat/vid divide! But I really suggest saving things that people ask you to watch specifically because they want you to absorb information for normal videos 🙂 usually these things meant to educate are put together with such love, when it comes to ARMIES. The creator really hems and haws over the wording, over which clip or lyric or interview to put in for that two seconds here or there to get the most impact possible without stretching a long video even longer. They really really WANT your eyes glued to it the whole time for one reason or another, and so do the rest of us sadly! 🤣🥲 You never know who's particular favorite few seconds you were busy reading chat for lol obviously they'll get over it but why make anyone suffer, you included lol. But you really did do a much better job pausing and rewinding and looking away as little as possible than most.....and yet you know I'm leaving this comment because I got exasperated over you reading chat RIGHT THROUGH some favorite tidbit and went scrolling in the comments rofl
I don't know why you got negative comments on this. You definitely showed real interest and you got almost every info covered except few but its fine. Loved this reaction!!!!! Borahaeee 💜💜💜💜💜
We the ARMYS appreciate reactors who does their research first on the discography and names of the seven members and to know them by heart. Sometimes It's kinda confusing to distinguish between Suga and JHope.
i have about 20 minutes left of this video and i am so confused by all of the micromanaging and nitpicking in the comments! i’m also one of those people that usually get annoyed if people aren’t paying attention while reacting but i don’t feel that at all while watching this. just keep doing you (:
the rappers write their lyrics with thought and intention, and they do sometimes cuss quite a bit and say other rather explicit things. For example in Cypher 3, Suga has a line about his flexible tongue (referring to his rap skills, as well as...well you know) sending you to "Hong Kong", which is slang for making someone orgasm lol. In his song Daechwita, he has a lines like "pathetic f*cks putting on a talent show" in reference to other rappers who hate on BTS. RM has some way dirty lyrics in his song Joke and cusses quite a bit in some of his other songs too. He also featured in an older song called ProMeTheUs by Yankie and many other rappers - each rapper was assigned 1 of the 7 Deadly Sins to rap about and RM got Lust. So, pretty dirty lyrics. He recently featured in a song called Sexy Nukim by an alternative hiphop group Balming Tiger, he cusses a tiny bit and has some slightly dirtier lyrics. If you want the best translations of lyrics to any BTS song, check the website doolsetbangtan. It gives explanations for wordplay, cultural references and context for a certain line if needed. A lyric video would not explain that sending someone to Hong Kong is a phrase that means to make someone orgasm, but doolsetbangtan translations will explain that. For certain songs that are deeper or have more complex lyricism, the channel DKDKTV has made explanation videos. For example, the songs Ddaeng and Ugh by the 3 rappers have a lot of cultural references and wordplay, so the DKDKTV explanation vids for them are necessary to understand the lyricism. Persona by RM, Shadow by Suga, and Ego by J-Hope are written based on different Jungian psychological concepts and have deeper lyricism, so the DKDKTV explanation vids explain the lyrics and Jungian references. I don't think you missed that much in the video, you did a good job with the reaction. But going forward, might be a good idea to just pause the video if you want to look at chat or give a comment, and you'll be good. That way you won't miss things, can focus on one thing at a time, and also we can hear your comments better if you're not talking at the same time the video is playing. It's totally fine to interact with chat as much as you like, but people are here to watch you react to the video afterall, so they wouldn't like seeing you miss things. The more stuff you can catch, the more satisfying it is for the viewer and people in your chat. If you pause the video, then you can do both - interact with chat and catch everything in the video 😊 Thanks for the reaction, and hope to see more!
Thank you friend ❤️ honest question, for that reaction, do you think strays would prefer a live stream with pausing/rewinding when necessary or just maybe a 2 video series??
@@kevinmell0 def 2 video series. Maybe even 2 diff guides as there are non spoiler ones and 5 second MV spoiler ones-which I don’t think you’ll mind. My suggestion is to look up other reactors to guides to see which one came out as most positive. Mostly the 2021 and 2022 guides are the best but the earlier ones show more of the earlier story that don’t get told in the later versions. Def a video though and not a stream Up to u tho!!! Duh!
@@kevinmell0 no brainer to use this guide: ruclips.net/video/dYS2Bf0a3WA/видео.html It has all the info for the group and for each member. It pretty recent too and doesn’t spoil much. Live or not, I personally wouldn’t mind. Live is nice to answer your questions right away but maybe offline you’ll be able to focus and digest the guide better. Hope it helped ❤️
I honestly don't think it was that bad like some comments make it out, I could see you did catch most things, I think there were 3 or 4 places that you really missed text, it was in Jin, V and Jimin parts. But I understand what they mean, bc I saw that you read fast and you catch text easy I was ok, but sometimes you were jumping with eyes so much it might sems like you didn't pay attention. So maybe that is way you got all this comments, or I think at last that is why. I think to be save from this, you have to pause when you want to check, talk or read or rewind and people would be ok. And Yes you did try to rewind, but after second half it didn't go that well hehe... But I really think it wasn't bad, I would say it was good reaction, so don't take this comments to the heart, and I saw so much worst ehh. Th this make up and hip hop, year it was about them wearing make up, underground scene was like "or isn't hip hop, it isn't manly" bla bla so they talked shit. They curse when there is feel for it they don't do it like some people are now - every second word.. They have numbers, yes, they worked hard for them. I don't know if you asked something that people did answer yet too, but if You want to know something, ask. 😉
No entendía por qué se disculpaban por malos comentarios de parte de army en este video , así que yo también lo siento es que hay una parte del fandom que es un poco intensa .
I'm thankful you did this video, but unfortunately you showed no real interest, cause you missed so many important things.. and were laughing at the chat at the most emotional parts. As a recommendation you can pause the video and then look at the chat. It took me a lot of pausing and concentration to fully understand the worth of this video, but you were trying to do many things at the same time. Thank you anyways!
Wow I showed no interest to you here, I’m sorry you feel that way friend ❤️ I’m aware of emotional parts, and trust me the emotion resonates with me, but seeing it and reading it is enough for me to understand it. I may not go back twice, or pause to talk about it. But I will always at least watch it once, and only rewind or pause if I’m missing something. I totally get that it took you a while to dissect the video yourself, but I promise it wasn’t the case for me. I hope you can find some interest in other videos I have 🙏🏽
@@kevinmell0 I thought you showed interest and you even rewind to catch some of what you missed. You did seem to miss one or two things but overall it was ok and you could make reference to previous things you've already learned so that's great. The recommendation to pause is always good though. Keep up the good work.
@Kevin Mello it’s annoying to talk over the video so pause if you want to say something or wants to comment….there’s a reason why there is a pause button duh 🙄
If you want to see about the crap they got and continue to get, xCeleste has a good video about their struggles. It'll make you mad, fair warning. Thank you for reacting to this, and please ignore the idiots who come on here to be negative and mean. They aren't really ARMY. The real ARMY is welcoming, helpful, and positive. Please continue to enjoy your journey - there's so much more to discover. These seven guys are really unique, and there will never be another group like BTS. If you get the chance, I think you'll really enjoy the guys' solo stuff, too. I would start with these: RM: Joke, Seoul, Moonchild, Persona. Suga (aka Augst D): Daechwita, Agust D, The Last, First Love. JHope: More, Arson, Daydream, Ego. V: I think you've already listened to his solo stuff, but there's also Winter Bear, Sweet Night, his cover of Someone Like You (Adele), It's Definitely You, which he did with Jin. Jin: Abyss, The Astronaut (his newest), Yours, Moon. Jimin: his Soundcloud star is Promise, but there's also With You, his duet on We Don't Talk Anymore that he did with JK, and Dream Glow. JK has a ton of covers that you can find on line, including my favorite, Fallin'. He does a cover of Fools with RM that's really beautiful. He and JM also collaborated with Lauv on a song called Who. Anyway... enjoy your trip down BTS lane. :)
Please don't do such important reactions like to a guide on live stream. If you want to interact with the chat than don't watch something like that. You may think you didn't miss much because you always looked away just for a few seconds but you actually missed some important informations
For their mistreatment, XCeleste has a video about that. I can link it for you BTS Hardships from 2013 - 2021 - ruclips.net/video/EdY6wnLsetQ/видео.html Here is the RM song that you asked about with English subtitles. Rap Monster - Joke w/Eng. Subs - ruclips.net/video/OxMrBNBWksM/видео.html
Talking about mental health and "taboo" topics has become a tiny bit safer since BTS kicked the door open on the matter. They have created so many paths and trends for the following generations to have a smoother time coming up.
That’s awesome honestly! I can’t stress enough, especially today, how important mental health is

WRONGGGG that sucks dude, physical harassment or harassment of ANY kind is so not cool.
There were shows that they were with different people and then you could see how different standards were for people :/
Akso when BTS got really big, korean media down played things they did, only waiting for slip.
I think you have genuine interest to know more and I hope this doesn't discourage you from carrying on into this journey, because it's a surprising and amazing one 💜
I think it can be frustrating for some because this video lays foundations and gives important keys of understanding.
And Jimin attracts and collect men like pokemons.

RM’s rap song is Joke. It’s hard to find it with English subtitles, but it’s worth listening to. Suga’s song is Daechwita. Watch the official MV. Daechwita is the traditional military music performed while marching or for announcing the king’s entrance.

to learn about the mistreatment by the industry and just overall struggles react to bts hardships 2013 - 2021 by xceleste, the mistreatment of bts by affectaed and boracity magazines videos like bts vs radio for example.

I seeee, what a wild story. And so good too though that they’ve normalized these topics that need to be discussed these days.
FYI:!Namjoon’s solo album “Indigo” will be dropping on 2nd December 2022, I am so freaking excited to hear it and what story or message he wants to tell us, so proud of my Bias Joon. 💜💜💜💜💜💜

The channel xCeleste has a video called BTS HARDSHIPS 2013-2021 | Racism, mistreatment, accusations + more | Struggles throughout the years. It goes into more detail about the hardships BTS have had throughout the years
Lyrics in kpop are usually very surface level and mental health is not something often discussed in South Korea in general ($uicide rates are actually pretty high in SK especially for the youth) so for any artist to discuss something like that in their music is kind of risky.
Yes they were criticizing BTS for wearing make up calling them girls, even though every person in the entertainment industry men and women wear make up
Vlive is actually ending at the end of 2022, and I don't if the lives will be switched to another site or not. I believe they are trying to stream on weverse now.
There is a fictional storyline called the BU (Bangtan Universe) which runs through many BTS music videos and other content
Keep in mind when Jungkook says he was 15 he was actually 13 because international age is 1 or 2 years younger than Korean age
James Corden actually got into a bit of trouble last year from ARMY because he made a joke about ARMY (basically generalizing BTS fans as teen girls) when BTS spoke at the UN and BTS actually went on his show a few months later and they talked about it a little.
@@kevinmell0 be careful reacting to James Corden and some others cause of copyright strikes. I think you can gray it out or something like that.

Great reaction! Keep it up! ❤
if you watch enough videos of their appearances on Korean shows you will see how they were treated.

Copied and pasted from my original message:
@Kevin Mello
(Edit to add: I am writing this comment and trying to be as respectful as possible. I don't mean this to be criticism so much as commentary on my experience as a viewer, and I hope I don't come across aggressive or mean.)
So I saw these comments before I watched your video and decided to keep an eye out since you asked for timestamps.
18:45
20:59
28:45
30:10
33:14
34:19 - you missed parts of RM's speech
39:13
39:43
40:52 - when you weren't looking at the chat you were talking instead and I don't think you caught what was happening in the video at all during this bit
41:40 - you missed some of the captions on V's speech (but got the overall idea)
42:58
46:26
49:26 - this one was the most frustrating out of the whole video for me 😔
52:06
Again, I think overall you were very interested in the video, but just looking at this it's not fair to say that you went back and rewound the video every time when you were distracted by the chat.

Glad you enjoyed this!
Ooo yeah I saw some other comments regarding that! I’m gonna try and find some videos to react to regarding their come up specifically
@@kevinmell0 The Rise of Bangtan series is an excellent choice. It's extremely informative and insightful.
@@Nyxie-OT7 yeah I think it does that better and it's professionally done documentary style so it's perfect for understanding
Army's please vote BTS on MAMA
Glad you watch this I enjoy it very much!! ☺💜Btw James Corden messed up one time with BTS and ARMY before too, calling BTS fans "15 year old girls" after BTS went to UN to perform so yeah we know he's not a good person. But even after that, BTS still go to his show and was being kind and forgive him. That's how kind and humble BTS are. BTS might be forgiving but I'm not so I wont forget that🙃
I was planning to watch this, but when I read the comments. I decided not to continue 😔😔.
Yeah I agree with others. Don't do lives and watch videos. You miss comments to you and you miss info on the videos.
While i like your reactions please don't read the comments and miss half of the video you are reacting to! Its frustrating.

Exceleste made a 2013-2021 BTS hardships video that talks about some of their troubles over the years
Yeah, some rappers, pissed because RM and Suga went Idol so they try to embarrass the guys by calling them girls for wearing makeup - pretty weak BS. where are those bad boys now?

V has also covered Someone Like You by Adele which I think you would enjoy! 💜
Yeah the chat thing is annoying lol, this was my first video I’ve seen by you,it’s a little awkward
Hi ,you lost many lines for being looking the chat .Better press stop in that case
the rappers write their lyrics with thought and intention, and they do sometimes cuss quite a bit and say other rather explicit things.

Def a video though and not a stream

Gracias mi amigo/amiga, mi amo musica la general pero bts es bonitaaa ❤️
@@nuhkyah23 thanks friend I really appreciate those kind words
