    Which end does the stop go on? The instructions that came with my "ferrule and stop set" clearly show the stop going on the long end of the cabel, not the short end that's cut. That doesn't make any sense to me. Shouldn't the stop go on the end that could theoretically pull loose? If you want I can email you pictures. I don't know if I'm describing this clearly.

    My American ass definitely heard ‘Have-A-Sniff DIY Products’. A bit cheeky I thought for a hardware video- turns out the smell was from having my own head up my ass.
    Good informative video. 👍

    Is there a way to cut the crimped metal?

    • @HammersmithDIY
      @HammersmithDIY  10 месяцев назад

      If you are referring to the ferrule, then cutting this would be best done with some sort of angle grinder.

    Why didnt you explain the thickness of the wire has different amount of sleaves
    Example 1/8 uses 3 sleeves

    600mm swage is much more user friendly than the 350mm. Especially if you are doing large amounts

    Are you people blind? It seems pretty clear to me. Maybe instead of complaining you should get your damn eyes checked. This isn't brain surgery and these instructions are pretty clear. If you can't figure out which end of the crimper to use for safety sake maybe you shouldn't be doing this type of work.

    So if I can't get the tool to close all the way does that mean I'm just a pussy or am I using the wrong ferrel?

    This is a remarkably poor video. There are critical aspects of swaging that are missing. Also how you swage is not described and how it should look finished.
