welcome to the experiences of van life. I have experience them all in my van. Boy racers can appear anywhere at anytime, even in dedicated motorhome service areas in stunning places in Scotland. spoils it for all, unfortunately.
They are literally everywhere I go in one form or another 🙃

I bought a rechargeable stick hoover off Amazon for my moulting Labrador in my van,is an absolute life saver for my ocd brain,about £80-100 it was but recommend for van /animal life
It’s a good idea to check for doughnuts (the tyre kind not glazed lol), when you get to a new park up. It gives you an idea about a car parks nocturnal visitors.
I love Wharfedale. Otley, Ilkley, Skipton, all very nice. And some stunning countryside.
What fabulous views. Glad to see Savannah is settling in well.
Excuse the pedantry, flower, but Otley is in West Yorkshire. I know because when they had "demarcations" on the bus passes i used to get, the boundary was a fair bit outside Otley. Loved the reservoirs going north, but it was a slog, having no "wheels" at the time. Best bit was the chippy when ya got back down. Never enjoyed a scran so much. PS. To see a Barn Owl "working" is indeed magical. PPS. Get ye to Gunnerside. It's a long chop, assuming your in the West riding, but well worth it.

What a brilliant experience watching the owl. Secretly wish you could have videoed it, but i suppose it was too dark.
FYI, I've seen other van lifers have an extra bottle for their toilet. It might be a good idea.
I didn’t want to take my eyes off it to go get my camera! I’ll try next time.
I’ve just started with a composting loo I have a cassette one on the boat, but I’ve been using the composting loo I’ve learnt with my one when you can’t hear the wee trickling down it’s just over half full, first couple of times it got within half an inch from the top think it has a one way valve but I ain’t going to try it lol
Haha yes they take some getting used to. I kept forgetting to check so now have an alarm on my phone which goes off every two days to remind me 😆
@@myvanworld the cassette loo on the boat has a light that comes on when it 80% full and get this my new cassette loo (not fitted yet) is a porcelain bowl lol
That's the best video you've made so far, so keep going and you should do really well. You've got Europe to discover too with easy Park ups and rarely any boy racer trouble, especially France. 😀👍👍👍👍

Luckily it’s past savannahs bedtime when the owl comes out but thank you, I’ll be sure to keep my eye on her.

Know exactly where you are. Best heading in to Otley, out the other side beyond the hospital and up the hill towards Newall. Nice chippy and pub as you go up there too. No aircraft noise there?
I’d be there all the time if it wasn’t for the racers. They are there most nights apparently.
Aircraft didn’t disturb us down in the car park. Only noticed when that one flew right over us.
Best hack for cat hair removal from fabric is a brush, like a small scrub brush sort of thing. Does a fast and purŕfect job 😊
I’ve now got four different brushes, lint rollers, cat hair removal contraptions… things are better but I still have to do it several times a day 🤣
@myvanworld lol...yeah...you'll never get out of doing it throughout the day. And it looks like your cushions are velvet. That's like a glue stick for cat hair!
