    So much nicer than the Vietnam era rooms we shared in the early 80's! And no communal bathrooms? A fridge! Nice 😮

    When I was there in 97-98 E-4 and below had to share a room. I got my own room when I got my line number for E-5. I moved to the "new" dorm across from the Mustang Club. That was a good year.

    When I was there in 2003/2004, we had a roommate 4 females to a bathroom, mini fridge. Binzo ditch outside and the dorms were super old, by flight line. This is SO NICE!
    Please dont whine about the bed!
    Thanks for shining light on the fact that you can be extended for a few months...nice job!

    Sure is an improvement from Spartan quarters in 1969-1970. Great improvement.

    Thanks for uploading this man, got orders there and was wondering what the dorms looked like and this really helped me plan what i should bring vs what i should leave with my family

      No problem. I would like you to keep in mind not every dorm is set up like this. The majority of the dorms for E5 and below are. You may or may not have a suitmate. Depending on which unit you fall under determines whether you'll live on base or off base.

    Could you please make another video reviewing the base and how it is? When you get time of course.

      Brother I apologize, I've since left Osan AB. I can assure you this, if I had made a video everything on base and off base would have completely changed within at least a year. Osan, along with many other military installations, are in a constant state of construction.

    Stationed there in 1981. Dorms, at least the one I was in, was single story. Sometimes you had a room by yourself, other times you had to share a room. Do they still have the houseboys and maids? Very inexpensive.

    Your two favorite words "You know" and "Little". Are the Quarters for E6 and above much nicer?

      When I left in 2016, E6s had a living room area and their own bathroom. E7 and above will have a one bedroom apartment if they stay on base.

      The ISP on base is LG U+. They also provide mobile phone, home phone, and cable services. to start you pay a $55 installation fee, $50 deposit, and if you purchase a modem from them that's an additional $50. To start you can pay upto $155. I already had a modem so I payed $105. Youre monthly bill is $65. The Internet speed is upto 100mbps, keyword upto, I have been averaging 40-50mbps.

    Im planning to join the military. just wondering what you have to do to get sent to Japan or Korea.

    • @D.U.D.E-
      @D.U.D.E- 7 лет назад

      Depends on a lot of things. What branch are you trying to join? Not all branches are created equally and have the same bases they can go to. What job are you trying to get? That also will determine which bases you can go to.
      In the Air Force you have a "Dream Sheet" where you can write down which bases you want to go to and the AIr Force will sometimes take that into consideration. This ultimately does not guarantee where you will get stationed but it does help.
      If you have further questions, I would highly suggest you research it more and then talk to your local recruiter and see if what you learned matches up with what they are telling you. Keep in mind some recruiters will say anything just to get you to sign up.

      Jake it's all luck to be completely honest. You're going to get stationed wherever the military needs you.

    Are E-6s in another dorm? i
    If so, what's that like...if you know.

    • @robertwatsoniii4938
      @robertwatsoniii4938  8 лет назад

      E-6s are in a different dorm. Their dorms are basically two of our dorm rooms. One side if the living area/kitchen without the stove. the other side is the bedroom and bathroom area.
