  • Today's video has been a highly requested video from the Indian motorcycle community. We finally have three Indian challengers with three different audio systems in them. All three Indian Challengers have fairing audio packages to keep it as even as possible. From left to right the bikes have the following systems: 1st OEM 50w 6.5” speakers, 2nd OEM 100W Powerband speakers, 3rd Davidson audio fairing package. We tried our best to keep this test as even as possible to provide you all with the most unbiased test so that you can make an educated decision on which system works best for you. I hope this video helped you all decide which audio system could fit your needs.

Noticeable difference in volume each time. The aftermarket bike definitely stood out in sound quality

I would have liked after testing the 3 to hear yours at it's full 4 speaker capabilities

I did a demo ride on a bike with Powerband. It was a LITTLE bit of a volume difference. But because it’s just louder, it sounded more pitchy

It's good that you do this stuff out in the real world honestly. in traffic, noisy roads, highways is where the bikes are used and music is played. No fancy bs, not edit trickery, just real world results. awesome dude!

I'm hearing better base on the middle bike. Volume is one thing, decent quality range is another. For me, there isn't any reason to have the screamer audio if there isn't the base to match it. I appreciate all of the work and effort that went in to this, it was a great experience being able to hear the differences between the three. I'm hoping the EQ will be able to bring out that base a wee but on the custom bike because the quality of the mid and upper frequencies deserve it. :) Cheers.

I love the base on the middle bike. Middle bike for me. Your audio has clearer mid and highs but just lacks base sound.

This is the comparison I've been looking for!! I have a '21 Challenger Base that came with the 5.25 fairing speakers. Found a guy selling the 6.5 Powerbands cheap so picked those up and noticed a considerable difference. My goal is to hear my music at highway speeds and I feel that the 6.5s do the job which made me consider getting the rear setup as well. After hearing this comparison, I'm seriously contemplating one of your packages. I also have a Magnum X-1 with Moto CD 6.5 in fairing, GZ Yellow Basket 8s in the lids, SD EVOX 800.4 and HKI Mini DSP and it sounds amazing!! I would definitely go with a 6.5/8 setup for my Challenger!!

I have a 2020 Challenger limited. I got the powerbands with speaker lids and honestly felt like all it did was just have the volume turned down less now but same audio quality. The stock speakers just had to be turner up more to get as loud.
This video your system clearly sounds better, crisper, and has bass.

Would be great if you do a test with the new PowerBand Audio Speakers with Bass Boost and UnderGlow, 6-1/2 in. At least compare with the power band 6-1/2 100w.

I agree. The 2nd bike with powerband sounds the best. Also it's plug and play DIY

Doing any videos of saddlebag components?

  • @Hipporider

I use the Motikom ear bud and collar. The audio suffers a bit of interference with the ear bud lead flapping in the wind, but the noise suppression off the wind allows to hear the music clearly, whereas I would think the wind noise on your helmet at highway speeds, I'm left wondering how much quality I could appreciate with wind noise, motor, etc? Add to this, on a ride longer than 45 minutes, you're getting hearing damage at highway speeds. I feel my hearing has suffered after 38 years of riding motorcycles all year around, mostly without hearing protection. 🇦🇺

Good video but I agree it's hard to get a complete understanding of the difference but it was good enough to show the clarity & volume.. Question what show EQ LEVELS BE ON A STOCK SET UP...?

    • @DavidsonAudio
      @DavidsonAudio  Год назад +1

I am glad you still found the video helpful. For the factory eq that all depends on your personal listings preferences, no one size fits all on audio tunes unfortunately

I believe the challanger comes witha base 6.5 in the fairing

    • @billfischer8057

Base model comes with 5.25 dark horse and limited comes with 6.5. Newer bikes have changed around so I’ve seen a pursuit premium with 5.25 in fairing
