It is thought provoking, not just in a positive way for me. At all, really. Reminds me of my ex girlfriend, I never knew what happiness was before I met her. Growing up from a shit, rough childhood that my mum tried her best to bring me and my brother up from. A cunt of a father who didn't know what love was nor cared about anything but himself. No friends due to being scared away because of him. Didn't learn how to socialize due to the loneliness. Started highschool, I was petrified of everything and everyone, didn't talk to anyone, if hardly at all. Didn't know how to tbh. Till one day I did something so small that made such a huge change to my life. A piece of bluetac, flicked into a girls hair on my table in some lesson. That girl became so much more than just someone I loved, something that mattered more than me, more than I even understood. We were Young as fuck at that point, looking back now at my current age I think I would've even said it's just one of those things that happens in school, but it lasted longer than that. Much longer. She changed my fucking life and it's gone. It's all just gone. She became that much of a part of me that she became my crutch. She was the first person I opened up to about my life, growing up etc. My antisocial behavior and how I didn't know how to interact with people. Still don't, really. She knew more about me than even did about myself. She had the most gorgeous infectious smile, growing up together making that bond even stronger. It's killing my fucking head thinking about it. How you go from loving someone too fucking much to watch them change into something you don't know anymore. To watch them become something you never thought they would, and have no fucking choice but to accept it. The love I had for this girl was more than I had for myself, and looking back I can see my mistakes clearly. We loved each other to pieces, funnily enough we were known in highschool for the couple that were together throughout the entirety of it. Unfortunately things change, and so do people. Cutting a very long, and deep, story short I was blind with love to a girl who wanted more and more. She ended up not being happy I guess, started sneaking around with her gym trainer, and ended up cheating on me with him, at the time of her being 16 whilst he was a lot older, not that age matters I guess. Idk.. I inevitably found out the worst way possible, being some girl who didn't get on with me who loved to stick her nose in shit that never concerned her, blurring out " you slept with who?!" In the middle of a science class. By that time I just knew. I already knew in the first place. I knew everything about her, her facial expressions she'd make if she ever did anything, lied, told the truth, etc. I just looked her dead in the eyes and could just see it. It broke me, as simple as I can put it i guess. I gave her a second chance - knowing it was the wrong thing to do - Unfortunately I had no other choice, she was my fucking lifeline in my life, the only thing that kept me up when I was riddled with problems I couldn't deal with, and still can't to this day. I was too dependent her. It inevitably happened again and yet again I was blinded by love. See, I'd do anything for this girl, to the fucking Moon and back, I never cheated on her, never even thought about it, treated her like a queen, yet I was treated like a fucking cunt for giving a shit about her. She was riddled with so much fucking jealousy to the point that I talked too much to a specific girl in my art class who sat at the same table as me. What did I do, completely halted all conversation from that point with that girl, and eventually stopped talking to any girl who'd come by and just say hello. Like I said, I'd do anything for her, but that shit ain't enough. We went to college together to a Personal Trainers course and from that point on it just fell apart. She suddenly wanted freedom after months of planning together, and we just ended. I was alone again, used, treated like shit, manipulated by a heavy amount which I'm not sure I want to go into, wishing I could have the girl I fell in love with back. Ended up awkwardly going to the same class since we joined it together, and I eventually dropped out due to my anxiety becoming too much for me to handle, and fell into deep depression that's still here to this day. She ended up getting together with the gym trainer she cheated on me with, only to get left by him after they had a kid, because he was a piece of shit who would, let's just say, enjoy younger girls. He eventually got fired from his job (which I'm fucking happy about the steroid taking prick) and that's it, I guess.. Five fucking years of my life, just for the girl I loved to turn round to me at the end of it and say "I regret it all" to my face before she left after packing get things and leaving. I live with my mum and step dad, being a burden to them, adding unneeded stress into their lives when they don't need it, with no job and I'm too petrified to leave the fucking house. My anxiety and depression are a joke, and I really can't be bothered with anything anymore. Song just reminds me of when I was happy, with her. I miss it, just know I'll never have it again. Not sure I even want to tbh, it takes too much of me just to go out my way for a chance at someone fucking me up, it's too much. Cheers for the song though mate, I appreciate it. This song is so meaningful, so powerful. It hits home actually, I've lost a very very dear friend to suicide... he meant the world to me, but he had too many demons, too many battles to fight and I tried my utmost best to always be there for him, even if my pleading to keep him bound to the ground didnt help. I will always remember him, how beautiful his life could of been. How every bit of work he released was nothing but perfection. The wonder he would show you... God I miss him more then anything, but he has moved on to a better life i hope, away from the pain he has faced, i just wish he was still here, we were both each others anchors in our insane and depressing world.

This feels like my love song to myself. I can imagine my doppelgänger singing this to me. No narcissism intended. I'm not usually my own greatest fan. Feels like I'm telling myself I'm not completely burnt out just yet. I let them into my head, let myself feel inferior and became a ghost here. I always get shivers when i play this song. When people hear the word "ghost" or "spirit" most of the time their first thought is "bad" or "evil" sometimes even "danger" but not all spirits or ghosts are bad. There are actually some really nice ones or ones that dont bother anyone and are just there. There area couple spirits that live in my house and follow my sibling and i around. I can see them at night sometimes because thats when its dark and everyone is alseep so they can safley show themselves. Hearing this song makes me feel so happy that people can finally relize not all spirits and ghosts are bad. ❤

This feels like my love song to myself. I can imagine my doppelgänger singing this to me. No narcissism intended. I'm not usually my own greatest fan. Feels like I'm telling myself I'm not completely burnt out just yet. I let them into my head, let myself feel inferior and became a ghost here. But I still see something worthy in myself, and I'm not done with life just yet. And I'm finally looking in the mirror and recognising myself again, trying to reconnect with myself and be my own friend.
Except I'm not a man. And I know that's definitely not what the song is about or the right interpretation. Just those words got to me. Hope I don't offend anyone here. Really beautiful song anyway. The lad's an amazing singer. Stunning voice and beautiful songwriting.

This reminds me of my recent past and u damn right I am rebuilding myself everyday that's the only way to live for me
I always get shivers when i play this song. When people hear the word "ghost" or "spirit" most of the time their first thought is "bad" or "evil" sometimes even "danger" but not all spirits or ghosts are bad. There are actually some really nice ones or ones that dont bother anyone and are just there. There area couple spirits that live in my house and follow my sibling and i around. I can see them at night sometimes because thats when its dark and everyone is alseep so they can safley show themselves. Hearing this song makes me feel so happy that people can finally relize not all spirits and ghosts are bad. ❤

Every time I think of this song I think of one of my best friend she had an abusive relationship but stuck it out while being a single mom and like me she struggled with depression but she pulled on through even when she was feeling down I'd talk to her, until it was too much for her and she ODed while quarantine was still a thing......I didn't find out until a month or two later when I wanted to message her after having been busy af with classes......I miss you Juliana
