  • This is a 2023 f850 GSA with approximately 4,000 mi on it. every time I start the engine when it is cold outside below 55°, the engine will run for a few minutes and then shut off with a engine control fault. Has anybody else seen this problem and what is the fix?

Why not disconnect the module? Will it run without it?

It's kinda like the distributor in a car. It needs to know where the crankshaft is in relation to the top dead center so it knows when to fire the spark.

Closest dealer is about 2 hours away and I don't want to be in the middle of nowhere and it not conk out and not be able to get to the dealership for them to figure it out. I did get it fixed. Turns out that the crank sensor wire cable was not plugged into the connector properly. So I just had to push down on the wire to let it seat into connector properly and I haven't had any problems since so it's essentially fixed now.
