Thank you, Joey! I'm so glad to know it meant something to all the musicians...us, the audience, dancers and singers, the maniacs that waited until 12 am to see the band. I hope we can keep playing some good ball with y'all
I love Joey's musicianship, his unique bass playing..singing, and his songwriting are truly special. I have everything NRBQ ever recorded.. Love the familiar 'Q' tunes.
Well, NRBQ would have been lovely, but lesser, without Terry Adams. Whole Wheat Horns, obviously Donn Adam, Marshall Allen, the Monk influence, I imagine all those elements would be absent from the band’s work.
Nobody can write a love song like Joey. Nobody...

Man what I wouldn’t give to hear and see the Spampinato brothers together again, live, with NRBQ, with their own band, whatever the act is.

I am half Spampinato.....I love Music. My grandfather came from Palermo in about 1908 to Ellis Island. Awesome
That's Frank Gadler singing with the Spams. Joey and Frank were two of the original five NRBQ members starting in the 6ts.
I was at the world in north miami where the seven of us played a slot. Good to see Frankie in this vid. I'm talkin nineteen sixty seven pre nrbq
Joey mentioned that this was basically his version of what NRBQ should be. Then I noticed that there isn’t a keyboard player.

"That's one damn good song right there...yeah it is"
I'm just trying to get a good look at that thumb plucking
I think that's an Eddie Cochran song and had forgotten about it. Great One.
Hey Frankie!
