I’m just gonna vent this here I relate my own mum to rose, this is why I love Steven universe so much. she loved earth, she wanted to be a better person, she sadly passed away when I was 10 around the same time Steven universe aired, she was a great person but she had her flaws to her, I never saw or realised them until I started growing up, she was everything to me, but she passed because of her addiction, I look back and wish I had that comfort but my life had to move on, my life wasn’t the best back then and now i live on my own, I sometimes wonder what my life could of been like if she never passed, but I know I prefer my life now, even how much I miss her, my dad and I used to sing the intro together but sadly he passed later the same year because of his own addiction. They could never become better people or redeem themselves to what they did to my family but I cherish the moments I had with them, and cherish my life now. just like how Steven dealt with his mother I also had very confusing feelings as I never got to know her fully, she was so loving to everyone around her but yeah :) I hope someone can look at this who had similar experiences of grief or maybe anything to do with there parents and know they aren’t alone :)

When you think about how unique this show was, picturing the spectrum of sexuality and identity and how it affected everyone. I still remember the first episode I watched of Steven and it was before years. I can't explain how many good memories I have with this show and the nostalgia breaks me and builds me again. I have such an emotional attachment to this song. I watched Steven universe with my soon to be best friend when we were both close to ending our lives because of our depression. I sobbed at the end of it because I thought I had no sense of comfort in the world when it was over. Then I realized I had my friend. And he had me. And we both started to get better. There’s such a bittersweet quality about this show I’ll forever cherish.

Many peeps hate her but we saw her life backwards. She tried to make everyone happy but also an opportunity. Idk, just my thoughts

In my opinion, there was no bad character in the show. The pink diamond made a lot of mistakes leaving spinel, destroying her pearl and lying to friends, but thanks to it the world has changed. If she and Pearl hadn't started to rebel together, there wouldn't be a peace like there was at the end of the series. She did terrible things, but in my opinion, she got lost and did not think about the consequences of some actions. Sorry for my english.

I regret doing nothing, more now than ever, but after reuniting with my sister, I can only think about everything done different. My sister is in college, I am as well, going on to be a choir director, and our little brother is happily playing in a better place. I remember hearing this song on a car ride back home and remembering that my kitten Kai wouldn’t be home, because he got taken away to a shelter because my family could no longer take care of him. So as I listened to this song I just thought of all the happy moments and just broke down. I started crying knowing my happiness is gone. I was so sad, but when I came home, I open the door and I see Kai running up to the door. I immediately started hugging and kissing him and I was so relieved he was still here. To this day he still lives with us only he goes outside in the day and comes back at night to sleep. My mom didn’t want him in the house but she has a soft spot for him. Also literally almost all the Steven universe songs seem so sad or they always make me emotional. I will treasure this song forever. :)

What if rose turned into that one statue in that episode we see the statue? If so. I think before the end of steven universe, they would try and free her. And they did. But they only got one day and 10 hours before she..was gone again. And it was one episode before the end..the last 10 hours rose quartz would spend with everyone, she would save steven from corruption. then she would turn into a rose and fade. One day later, steven moves out.. they managed to find a matching rose like the one rose quartz faded into. Gave it to steven, then said their goodbyes...THE END.

He's been jealous of me and I feel like it's hurting him. From other people's perspectives, he seems like he's a bad, rude person. But he has a good heart and just wants to be a better person than me. He's rude to others (also me) because he wants to feel stronger and feel more valid. But I don't think he understands how valid he already is. He's amazing at making connections with others almost instantly, something I could never do without overthinking every little thing. Whenever I listen to this song, I can’t help but feel an old feeling; a serene, melancholic feeling that has been clinging onto me for a long time. It reminds me this world will not satisfy my heart, I’ll never be able to belong to the collective. It is foretold I have a lonely path ahead but it’s so painful.
I don’t want to have anxiety attacks anymore, I don’t want to have intrusive thoughts anymore. I feel like a child for wishing friends, I feel so naive for wishing love that I never fucking got, I feel so delusional when I think I have it in my grasp, just to lose it again and again

Reading the comments.. and looking back.. I realize how much this song actually means to me. My parents divorced when I was 13, and my dad got full custody. He fell back into a smoking addiction, and abused me constantly, mainly because I was the only one old enough to have it passed as tripping on the playground, or falling up the stairs. My mother took me back in once I moved out, but I had to leave my siblings behind. I regret doing nothing, more now than ever, but after reuniting with my sister, I can only think about everything done different. Taking her and my brother out of that household, staying until I could bring them to my mom, calling EMS when I was on the floor, bleeding and crying.. it's never going to be okay, but those days are behind us. My sister is in college, I am as well, going on to be a choir director, and our little brother is happily playing in a better place. Never having my mother around from 13-17 was so hard, and it would've been so much harder for a ten year old, or a 6 year old. Steven Universe was a show that drew me in, however I've always thought as the storyline as the opposite of how my life has gone. It's an odd phenomenon... However, no matter what my mind decides to associate with this song, it will always have a place in my heart.

i’m on a long roadtrip it’s currently night and this is what i’m listening to honestly the best
I remember hearing this song on a car ride back home and remembering that my kitten Kai wouldn’t be home, because he got taken away to a shelter because my family could no longer take care of him. So as I listened to this song I just thought of all the happy moments and just broke down. I started crying knowing my happiness is gone. I was so sad, but when I came home, I open the door and I see Kai running up to the door. I immediately started hugging and kissing him and I was so relieved he was still here. To this day he still lives with us only he goes outside in the day and comes back at night to sleep. My mom didn’t want him in the house but she has a soft spot for him. Also literally almost all the Steven universe songs seem so sad or they always make me emotional. I will treasure this song forever. :)

I listen to both daycore and nightcore, daycore is relaxing but nightcore makes me feel like there’s something like a war happening and I lost everything or I’m getting revenge and I like to be sad for not reason sometimes, because I think of reasons to be sad, and then I listen to daycore it calms me down and I remove another reason to be sad.
Its so weird how I've been watching A cartoon for half my life without getting tired of it nor forgetting it- I may not always think about it but its just kinda there idk how to explain it. when I say Steven universe is literally gonna be most of my childhood I'm fr😖😖😖😖😖😩

I wonder, Remember that one episode where they tried to heal amethyst? What if pearl didnt fake shatter pink diamond/rose quartz? What if rose turned into that one statue in that episode we see the statue? If so. I think before the end of steven universe, they would try and free her. And they did. But they only got one day and 10 hours before she..was gone again. And it was one episode before the end..the last 10 hours rose quartz would spend with everyone, she would save steven from corruption. then she would turn into a rose and fade. One day later, steven moves out.. they managed to find a matching rose like the one rose quartz faded into. Gave it to steven, then said their goodbyes...THE END.

I don't know exactly why, but I can see this song being in the perspective of my friend. He's been jealous of me and I feel like it's hurting him. From other people's perspectives, he seems like he's a bad, rude person. But he has a good heart and just wants to be a better person than me. He's rude to others (also me) because he wants to feel stronger and feel more valid. But I don't think he understands how valid he already is. He's amazing at making connections with others almost instantly, something I could never do without overthinking every little thing. He is so dedicated to what he does, even if it's something he doesn't like. I just hope he realizes how valid and special he is someday
