I got to spend some time backstage with her during a concert in 2008 and she is a class act. A down to earth lady with none of the "Diva" baggage. A great talent.
+Luther Beckett ; Mr. Beckett--I appreciate your response. You sound like you know something about all of this. I have admired Barbara Lynn for many years. She sings with a wounded but always strong heart. She touches me with her music, but it is her heart that provokes something good. Mr. Beckett--I'm thinking that you played some music yourself..
+Luther Beckett --Something about you is cool and good--not that I know a damn thing these days--Living in Budapest is already kind of unique. Don't mean to continue to bother you but your undertone reply just evokes interest. Staying up too late and listening to these old songs may be affecting my normal common sense....Budapest, Hungary, scenes of the cold war and the continuing friction with USSR come to mind. Luther, do you have an OO as part of your title, with a number to follow? Just kidding(?)
Gee whezzzzzz, I love Barbara Lynn's singing and guitar artistic skill. Whenever I'm feeling lonely, enjoy just daydreaming as I watch BL's videos on RUclips.
Accidentally thumbed DOWN the first two comments. OOPS! I meant to thumb up: LOVE this. Brilliant. AND this was has soul, feelin' and she is HONEST in her self and her music.thats the mark of a true musician, she kinda reminds of of hendrix and luther allison on guitar.ABSOLUTELY OUTSTANDING!

Damn! Forgive me, Barbara! I hate to say something like that about someone who's still alive. That was actually Barbara George, another singer from the 60's. My mother use to play Barbara L. all the time when me and my brothers were little. Always loved her voice.
Love it! memories of growing up...didn't know how cool she was on guitar though just remember the awesome vocals and message to young women. Healthy message rather than some of the crape out there about standing by your man.
She's got so much soul. Her performance just cuts through the poor video and background noise. Pure magic.
Wow - what a voice. Damn...... Now that's soul.

This woman is so good--picks that guitar so damn good--her life just comes out in her music--hard life, maybe...but talent from the soul...
