I have a can am defender 6x6 and have wheeled extensively with it. Every time I show up looking to wheel with folks, oftentimes with 100k + jeep rigs, they look at me like “whut….you bringin your farm vehicle up this?” Within 10 minutes after I effortlessly glide over obstacles they were caught up on for 5 minutes….their expressions change very quickly 😂 Lots of vids of me wheeling it on my channel if ya wanna see/invest into a new “farm rig”.
Man my Scrambler XP1000 S makes a Jeep look silly and even most SXS but it's highly modified for hill climbing 58"wide 70" wheelbase . The main reason it does so great 14" suspension travel, the engine is in the front with additional wight and a 3/16" steel skid plate welded to frame, relocated the battery to the lower frame and 27x11x14 XTR tires. Highlifter transmission gear reduction and 32×10x14 Roxxilla sticky coming. (75" wheelbase maybe for better down hill because it's so front heavy it can go up anything but coming back down is a little different. ) PS give me that cheap SXS and I can make it into a Munster.
I have to ask, what is "next to nothing?" Because $10,000 is not next to nothing to me. I like the idea of $3000 on an older 4x4 that you stay dry in the mud puddles and warm when it snows. I'm watching this because I can't decide and can't find a used sxs less than $15k
i hear it every day with the price of sxs being so high right now "i can buy a jeep for that" i explain this right here is why they dont compare but yet every calls me an idiot and says the jeeps better. they are obviously clueless
Great video! You guys are absolutely correct on the subject in hand. I'm actually currently debating on which way to go. Funny thing is I already own both, I have a 97' TJ that is currently in the midst of being build with 40s for extreme rock crawling and a Honda pioneer 1000 that I've and recently took to go wheeling with. I'm debating on if I should scrape the Jeep build and sell it for a new SXS instead (something that's more capable than my Honda).
For 50k you could have bought a near new truck, trailer and had 15k left over for a real jeep. Hell, a geo tracker with lockers could have out wheeled both of those.
your dreaming, imagine if they had a real long travel sport sxs and not a beat up stock utility machine. altho im confident the stock utility machine can out wheel all of those
Glad you guys did this video thanks fellas
Thanks for watching!
Great video.

That's what we like to see.

Defenders are impressive.
I wanted to see a wrangler. Right like a real jeep versus sxs. This isn't that.
Wajaja good video
What is a "Tuk-Tuk"?

Oh man, we love a challenge. Bring us your Trackers, your Samurais, your huddled Land Cruisers. We'll put the Tuk against 'em all.
