Wasn't sure if you found out anything about it since this was posted, but the "likes Yamcha" thing was in reference to a brief exchange Frieza had with Yamcha in Dragon Ball Fighterz, where he referred to him as 'sensible and handsome' (though obviously he still planned on killing him).

The analysis done for Megatron was awful. They downplayed him so badly that it's just criminal. If they had done their research properly, then they would know that Megatron annihilates Frieza, even if he had his Black form.
For starters, they got the cosmology for the Transformers universe wrong. It's not an ordinary universe, it's size is infinite in scope due to containing 17 to 21 brane spatial-temporal dimensions and it has infinite timelines thanks to the Zero-Space, with each moment in time breaking out into a new reality and possibility.
Megatron defeating the Deceptigod is a feat that proves that he has Frieza beat in raw power. The Deceptigod is the living embodiment of the Dead universes. The Dead universe is not an ordinary universe like Death Battle claims it to be, it's a universe filler with multiple infinite realities and higher dimensions that the Deceptigod devoured; and Megatron was able to take him down, singlehandedly. The Deceptigod is also responsible for the creation of the Heart of Darkness which is the dark counterpart of the Matrix of Leadership. The very same Matrix that Optimus Prime uses to defeat Unicron, who easily destroy the Transformers infinite multiverse.
Megatron has even tanked and survived attacks from Regenesis Shockwave, who has complete control over time and space, and is beyond the concept of Death. RS was going to destroy the universe and later merge all the universes in the multiverse into one singularity. While Megatron doesn't compare to RS in terms of power, the fact that he can survive blows from someone who was going to destroy the infinite multiverse shows that he can take whatever Frieza can throw at him.
Also, they, as well as many people, compared antimatter to hakai; which is a misconception. Hakai is a ki-based technique that can be resisted so long as the target's willpower and overall power is greater than the user; while Antimatter is a highly volatile substance that destroys everything by ignoring durability with no exceptions. There's literally no way Frieza would be able to resist it.
The only advantage Frieza would have is speed, but it wouldn't help in the long term when the gap in speed and power is this massive. Plus, with Megatron's shields and supercomputer brain, he can easily block Frieza's quick strikes and tag him.
So yeah, Megatron beats Frieza given that he has faced opponents who are much more powerful.
Death Battle failed to properly do their research for this fight. It's like they just made Frieza win just to stop the Dragon Ball fans from whining
