    WOW!! That is a giant fridge for a van -- super nice! What a great set-up!

    I have to agree that van is well thought out. They focused on the important things like food storage with that rather big refrigerator. A good sized usable bathroom which is often too small to be practical on other vans. Not to mention sleeping for four. Very nice.

      Yes this is a great floorplan and checks a lot of boxes that most miss. They had the same one last year without the pop top and it was a miss for sleeping capacity. Very pleased with this one.

      @@outdoorjaye I purchased the 20 A in Aug. for me & my two pugs, it’s been great but after watching your video on the 20A, I ordered the air mattress from Amazon that you recommended! Love it❣️ we are heading to the 🌵🚐 Quartzite next week 🌵🚐 I am so excited ♥️ TY for the great video you did on the Jayco Swift 20A as well as this video. People need options 👍

      Great floor plan. Had me guessing where the kitchen will be. Need those safety belts for those two seats.

    Do the rear passenger seats have any recline function? Makes it easier for the kids to nap during those long drives. Also, the Lagun table behind the driver is nice, but is there any functionality to add a Lagun table behind the passenger seat?

    • @outdoorjaye
      @outdoorjaye  Год назад +1

      They do slide forward and recline. You could add another mount but the easy ways to get an extendible top so you can use the lagun table from all four seats.

    The full-sized seats for the passengers makes this a better option for family trips than some others I’ve seen like the Solis. I just don’t think that couch setup in the rear will get much use as a place to sit, but I may be wrong. Is there any storage inside that thing?

    • @outdoorjaye

      That’s where the water tank and furnace go.

    What kind of A/C did they put in?. I heard there is one that is pretty quiet and thinking it was called the Max Pro? So it would be nice if this unit has it. I really love the format of the Swift 20D and the upgrades from last year. I would love to try and hold out until the Swift Li comes out.

    Did anybody not notice the OEM grey Ram seats upfront vs. the nicer beige Jayco captain chairs for the rear passengers. As I am shopping right now I am seeing a lot of these mismatched situations. Also there’s about 3-4 different dash, infotainment, safety feature options even as they are classified as 2023s. I’m assuming because some of the chassis are 21 22 23s.

    • @outdoorjaye
      @outdoorjaye  Год назад

      Yes that was a transition point from the new chassis changes. You will see lots of differences in that year due to the updated chassis, then the new front end, also mfgs working through chassis in the holding yards. 2024s are all sorted out now.

    I’m very interested in a Jayco 20D; however, someone told me that theirs is in for maintenance more often than they get to use it. Can someone please give me feedback on Jayco quality. I’m seeing mixed reviews. I’ll be a first time owner, so really need to pick something that isn’t a maintenance nightmare. TYIA 😊

    • @outdoorjaye
      @outdoorjaye  Год назад +2

      Any motorhome can break, they all use the same components as there are not many to choose from. Jayco offers a 2 year warranty while the rest offer 1. This is on construction and components. Airstream is another good one. The best built in my humble opinion is Pleasure-Way if you can find one.

    What are the weight capacities for both beds? I’m not able to find that anywhere. Thanks!

  • @stevesullivanmathteacherno6812

    Looks like when the bed is set for the night, you cannot get to the bathroom. It looks like the bathroom door is against the bed. True? Thanks!

    • @outdoorjaye
      @outdoorjaye  Год назад +1

      Not quite. The bathroom is across from the fridge and you can scoot out of bed to go potty.

    Does anyone know the brand and model name of the Class B camper van that converts the front seats into a bed? I'm amazed that all Class B manufacturers don't offer this feature for a 3rd person. Most older folks aren't going to consider climbing a ladder to sleep in a pop-top on the roof.

    • @outdoorjaye
      @outdoorjaye  Год назад +1

      You can buy the inflatable mattress on Amazon. Pleasure-Way includes one. Airstream has a solid mattress option for the Interstate 24GL and GT.

    this is almost how I have my dream DIY van build designed... I wonder how much this is Canadian. Maybe just better to buy this instead if it's reasonably priced. I'd take that seat out by the door and add some storage instead..

    • @outdoorjaye
      @outdoorjaye  Год назад +1

      This one is 185k Canadian. 😁 also the seats can be unbolted from the floor fairly easily.

    Per my friend, a Mobile RV Repairman that has been in that family business his whole life (56 years), I was advised by him to NEVER buy anything with the Jayco name. Ever. As they are garbage.
    4 RV upgrades down the road, I/we have continued to heed his advice.

    • @outdoorjaye

      @CC_Marauder Год назад

      I never solicited his advice on what to buy. He just forewarned as we were getting into the RV scene, travel trailers first, what brand to absolutely avoid. That was telling. I would have guessed Coleman but he was very specific from his vast experience.
