I was at Knott's on Sunday and it was so miserable. Xcelerator had a four hour wait and all major rides were at least two hours lol.
Food lines were abysmal as well. Cedar Fair really needs to get it together with this park's operations. It's insane.
Going on Sunday's were always busy but never overly crowded, but man. That was insane.
Saturday was insane, too. By late afternoon Xcelerator was 4 hours; Silver Bullet was 3 hours; and Coast Rider, Pony Express and Sierra Sidewinder were 2 hours. Even the flat rides had huge lines. I can't imagine waiting 2 hours for the worst wild mouse in CA (Coast Rider)!
Is Xcelerator still only running 1 train?
Silver Bullet is usually the saving grace as it's a high capacity B&M.
Either it was running 1 train, or the ops over there was absolutely HORRIBLE.
People rag on Disneyland over crowds, Genie+ and all - But Knott’s is way worse. We got an annual pass in October, admittedly at a bargain price of$130. and we do enjoy going there. But he waits are so insane in the 5 or 6 times we have gone we have maybe gone on the Calico Mine Train and the Railroad once! Nothing else because waits are insane unless you fork up $100 for the fast pass thing. 3 hours for Ghost Rider, 2 hours for Pony Express…. No.
At least at Disney you can find numerous rides, even on the busiest days at waits under 30 minutes. And if you hit certain rides at the right time even the “E” ticket rides you can get on fairly fast.
I think Dylan seems to give Knott’s a “pass” to easily on how poorly it is run sometimes. The whole 6-months delay at Camp Snoopy is a mess - If that was at Disneyland I feel Dylan would blast them for that.
@@tahjo7 Yea. It's been only running one train since it reopened as far as I know. Also yea, even Silver Bullet had a two hour line which was insane!
Fact they let in so many school buses also unchaperoned
Great video Dylan, you always do such an amazing job 👏
I have pictures through the years, starting with my daughter when she was 4, all the way up to last year when she was 17 and my son was 11, of them at that waterfall with Snoopy and Woodstock. I’m sad they moved it too. It was a little tradition we had each year. 😢
Yay!!! Dylan’s back. 🎉😃😍😘
Love the video and want some tips on starting a vlog channel for me and Michael are thinking of moving to Florida just us together someday and want to meet you some day at Disney land in June
Can't wait for you to get more info on Knott's Chicken dinner Scary farm deals.
Thanks! Great video Dylan!
Thanks so much for watching and helping out! Excited to see Camp Snoopy get to the finish line.
Nice 👍
My husband & I were at Knott's on Thurs Xcelerator sorry if i misspelled it lol & Ghost Rider were both closed, wait times were 120+ minutes & kids were cutting in front of us with their parents encouraging it. We got so fed up we left after only a few hours. Only good thing was the food at Grizzly Creek Lodge very inexpensive & decent portions.
Dang I’m sorry to hear about that. Hopefully on a future visit things will be a lot better.
I also went on thursday and saw that too. I got to the park around 3:30 and right away we noticed the school busses in the parking lot. We waited an hour for silver bullet and it seemed like everyone in the queue was on some middle school field trip. Around 5:00 the park seemed to clear up and all the waits moved to under 15 minutes
Senior ditch days. This time of year before Memorial Day, high schools will have a ditch day for seniors to go on a fun trip. My high school in Yorba Linda would alternate between Knott's and Magic Mtn back in the 90s. The richer beach cities might do Disneyland or a harbor cruise.
Actually, it was mostly bus loads of 8th grade middle school kids for their Middle School Graduation. Was there Tuesday through Thursday, and saw Dylan there the day this video was made. It was quite crowded with kids... We are from out of state and had our 14 year old with us who graduated 8th grade too. Did not see very many high school aged kids there on any of those days. Normally we go to the CA theme parks when schools are in session for no crowds and will be back after summer break is over.
Hi Dylan
Greetings from Israel 🇮🇱
Thanks for the video
What was that covered wagon next to the Camp Snoopy entrance?
Decorations for Silver Bullet.
Any news as to what is happening with Mystery Lodge? I loved that show.
It’s just been sbno for years. Maybe one day they will bring the show back.
coudl you let me know if ghost rider was back open? I'm going to knotts tomorrow and I was really looking forward to riding ghost rider
Hey! Knotts said on their Instagram page that it should be back up this weekend. Don't quote me though.
You mentioned a giga coaster, where did you get that info from??
I went back I think you was just playing lol
Yeah that was a joke. lol
😊😊😊😊😊😊
Thanks for watching!
I really don’t understand the thought process that led to them removing the iconic Camp Snoopy canoe marquis. There’s literally no reason to move it.
WTH I SAW LIKE 10 THEME PARK VIDS TODAY AND ALSO SOAK CITY IS OPEN
Snoopy
What is a giga coaster
Coaster over 300 ft tall
It's a running joke, poking fun at people that have long speculated that Knott's was getting a giga-coaster, which is now an almost 15 year long rumor.
Ex Cedar Fair CEO Matt Ouimet admitted on his LinkedIn account recently that Gatekeeper (a wing coaster that opened in 2013 at cedar point) was originally earmarked for Knotts around 2009 - 2010. But the project was canceled just after they poured the 1st footer for the coaster, in favor of focusing on Knott's rich history and really leaning into.
They've done that ever since 2011 refurbing old attractions and areas. Which is why knott's hasn't had a BIG coaster since 2004's Silver Bullet. That wing coaster was the next BIG coaster addition for Knotts, which happens every 5 years for Cedar Fair's top 5 most attended parks (Knotts is #1), but the project was passed on...and now it's 2024.
20 years later. Crazy crowds, small meaningful investments year over year has worked well for the park... Still, after 20 years, it's time to add SOMETHING significant. These crowds aren't getting smaller, parking is horrible, long lines with slow operations, frequent ride closures. It's time.
Escape Designs on RUclips even went as far as creating one of the most in depth concept videos for Knotts where a giga-coaster was designed for the park in the back of ghost town, in addition to remodeling knott's main gate experience.
Great, my reply was deleted.
Soo much for engagement.
Knott's hasn't had the best contractors working on their projects post-pandemic.
As for Magic Mtn, a similar situation happened as Monte, where too much was taken out, word will start getting out.
Same for Universal, construction issues.
Makes me wonder, have the talented contractors passed on, and now we don't have alot of talent in that field of work 🤷♂️
Friends told me the WAITS for Xcelerator and Hang Time were RIDICULOUS!!! ….they left the park!! 🤷🏼♂️🤔👎🏻
Usually those two are the longest waits in the park.
Ghost rider has been closed for a couple of weeks
Good to know, I’ll be keeping an eye on it then.
No it hasn't been. FAKE NEWS
