This reminds me of the lakes in my area, my springtime fever is getting stronger by the moment! Ice needs to thaw, I'm already out of space for the new flies tied, and I'm pumpin' to make more ^^;

i guess im asking randomly but does anyone know of a tool to get back into an instagram account?? I was dumb lost the account password. I would love any tips you can offer me
I have not found bluegill tippet shy, as I generally use 4x or 5x to begin with for bluegill. Matching definitely size definitely helps with finding success! Good luck!
Those bluegills seem pretty hardy. How long do you have to place them back in the water so they can survive? Do they bruise easily? Dropping them in a boat will that kill them once in the water? Catch and release seem a good thing but does that kill them?
I few of those mishap releases were truly accidental and some of my all time worst out of thousands caught and released. These fish lived on just fine to swim another day. Thanks for watching!
@@FishTails thanks for the Tip. I will tie up a few of the Prince nymph. I live in L.A (Lower Ala.) I started fly tying about a year ago. We don't have Trout here in L.A, so I fly fish for Bluegill and Bass. I like your Videos, they are Very Helpful. Thanks for sharing and keep them coming.
The nymph had a small bead head enough to slowly sink it naturally in a lake. I actually caught several on dry flies that morning, but decided to keep the nymph theme since I caught so many that way. Great questions!!!
I have to say I am quite surprised at how well my 7 1/2 foot 2-weight has handled some average-sized bass (12-16"). As long as you use your drag wisely, it can be a blast!

I was raised to be a Bluegill fisher from time I was little boy. 70 now. Still love it.
Fly fishing for panfish is so underrated. I enjoy using micro poppers!
Awesome. That is a ton a fun to fish for them that way! Keep catchin'em'
This is worth watching just to see some masterfully accurate casts!
Interesting - It seemed to me that the rod was underlined when I watched the casting - but the guy definitely made it work for him.
How much leader are you running,? Excellent video angles too.
Love the fly fishing and love your fishbrain
Nice video! I just bought my first flyrod! And i like your fishbrain too
Great to hear! Thanks for watching and good luck!

Hey, great video man , subscribed and notifications turned on ! It’s ysaac from Fishbrain
are bluegill leader and tippet shy? do you have to match the fly size to the leader/tippet like you do with trout?
I have not found bluegill tippet shy, as I generally use 4x or 5x to begin with for bluegill. Matching definitely size definitely helps with finding success! Good luck!
not that this isnt a good one but I find it crazy this is your most viewed video. some of your other ones I've watched are amazing.
Yo and you make your own tackle…… that’s f’en awesome bro….. this is bump from fishBrain.
How are you holding the line so it doesn’t slip?

What kind of Nymph s do you Bluegill fish with??
I tied this nymph myself. The closest I can compare to is a beadhead prince nymph. Good luck!

Great video! I've been looking forward to fly fishing for panfish. Was the nymph weighed? Do you think dry flies would work well on panfish?
The nymph had a small bead head enough to slowly sink it naturally in a lake. I actually caught several on dry flies that morning, but decided to keep the nymph theme since I caught so many that way. Great questions!!!
Anything for panfish tbh
Actually, what he is using is called a Wooly Bugger. They've been used for decades to catch everything from panfish to trout.
What if i hook a big bass on a 1 weight
I have to say I am quite surprised at how well my 7 1/2 foot 2-weight has handled some average-sized bass (12-16"). As long as you use your drag wisely, it can be a blast!
I find that putting a nymph. Under a proper works better than a nymph by its self.
Nice. "dry-dropper" style!
Great vids sorry my name is a little different from fishbrain but it’s Matthew

How do use a fly rod
As far as info to get started fly fishing, my best advice is to watch the "Orvis Guide to Fly Fishing" video series.
@@FishTails ok thank you
What length is that 2wt
My St Croix 2wt is 7 1/2 feet and was from someone who used to custom build St Croix blanks and sell them on eBay. Thanks for watching!
When I fish for sun fish I call it "chillin an gillin"
