Wow. This helped actually. Not the same AC unit but I figured my wires were a little loose so I just held down the panel w one hand and pressed the buttons that weren’t working with the other and it worked
Thanks Lisa D I'm a new subscriber to your Channel I just will add one thing not that you were aiming to cover it even but anyone with an RV or generally a fifth wheel the air conditioners that are up on top of the vehicle are generally made by HoMedic. Long story short each unit needs to have it s paired thermostat exclusively to work Optimum they have discontinued almost all of the thermostats for RVs they do that really fast then they want to sell you a circuit board that makes it compatible but using this trick and a roach clip and the three wires you can get around spending that money for a thermostat on your RV or pull behind just happy to find a woman sharing her skills you inspired me to elaborate bless you have a nice day
Girl I'm a retired electrician and I think you are a genius . I was looking into doing the same thing on one I just got that runs great not even half the time. But I read about the start winding needs a half second of power then it runs on the run winding . So I know that if I tried a relay to shut itself off with like aux contacts that it would go off on milliseconds not a half second. So I'm wondering more than you are telling in this one. Could you do a more complete on as far as colors of wires and what did what. Low or high fan. Are you without thermostat so you need to unplug it . Has it lasted a long time or has it failed now ?
What do you do when the compressor freezes up on high head without a defrost cause eventually it’s gonna quit running because the compressor is not made to run all the time
I got one yesterday from my mom that had passed away and I washed it and I guess I got the control panel wet I've cleaned AC's and the past and never as this happened to me so I was all excited because I've already gone through four AC's that have been given to me or I bought and the one fell out the window and broke and this one was full of leaves I cleaned it and everything and it broke it doesn't want to start up it doesn't even light up and then I have a 220 I believe plug on the AC but I don't have a plug that fits that in my apartment so I'm stuck with a big AC and I'm trying right now I have my my AC board open and want to chop off the wires like the way she's showing me and try to guess which ones they are so if you're wondering I guess the only way to find out is by trial and error as long as you don't touch the the wire itself and see what noise is what cuz if it if you touch it and you can hear the compressor kick on it'll make a more of a vibration and it was just a fan it's just going to be blowing just like a normal ordinary fan so you got to get all those wires together because as far as I see I see about one two three four five ....12 wires and all in all and hope fully I can save some money 💰

Thats one way to do it, use the low voltage side which does not bite.
