Loved the vlog on Denmark 😊
There are many reasons why we have a happy and satisfied life in Denmark. We have free education, healthcare, a huge social security system and a great work life balance, and it’s so safe to live in Denmark. All this give everyone a fair and equal chance to have a great life, and the freedom just to live life 😊
Thank you guys for giving Copenhagen and Denmark a shout out 😊

there are lots of colorful houses in Copenhagen outside Nyhavn , in the small streets in the center of the city, on the walking street and the area called Christianshavn , it depends on the area they are found in the oldest parts of the city , and in many other cities in Denmark, the other Nordic countries, plus amny other countries like Estonia, Poland, the Netherlands and more

Danes use bikes to commute, pure and simple. We also use bikes in the winter. There are no limits. It's just what we do. We grow up that way.
Downtown in Copenhagen is also what we think about as the old city within the old city walls. Copenhagen was surrounded by fortifications and a moat up to the mid 1850s where they started to fill in the moat. The downtown is basically the medieval part of the city.
About Tivoli Garden, it is true that Walt Disney visited Copenhagen and Tivoli Garden many times to get inspiration for Disneyland. Tivoli Gardens opened first time in 1843 and is the 3rd oldest amusement park in the world. The oldest amusement park is actually about 20 km north of Copenhagen and opened first time in around 1587.
The park you list as Kongens Have is actually the Frederiksborg Castle park north of Copenhagen. Kongens Have or Kings Garden is next to Rosenborg Castle in Copenhagen (the medieval part of Copenhagen).
Probably one of the biggest differences between American and European culture is that Europeans work to live. Europeans do not live to work which seems to be the culture in America.
Most Europeans are used to 5-6 weeks paid vacation every year.
Danes love their free time. Danes pretty much produce the same in a 35-37 hours working week as Americans in a 45-48 hour working week.

@@LoveItTherePod Danes don't dress for the bike ride. We dress for the destination. The bike path can look like a fast catwalk 😎 😂Biking in stilletos is not problem
And if the weather is bad, we cover our clothes in Gore-Tex - poncho if your in a ball gown 😆- and we all look the same 😐
Fun Fact: when you ride on the big lanes in and out of Copenhagen the trafic lights are co-ordinated so if you ride 20 km/h - 12,4 mph - you'll have green lights all the way in to town. You're clever girls 🤩 There's no space for "amateurs" during rush hours 😰

First of, hygge is not a Copenhagen thing, but a danish/scandinavian thing.. Everybody around the world have "hygge" but we just have a word for it.
Hygge is when you feel cozy/content/loved, maybe with you gf/bf, maybe in a blanket, a cop of coffee/tea/Coco, maybe you eat a danish ;) , or something else. Watch a movie (at home) Thats hygge.
Hygge is also reading a book, lighting a candle or taking a bath with a glass of wine... being with friends eating out, going to the movie, or whatever.
So hygge is many things, everybody does, but we just have a word for it. And we do it knowingly. Cooking with your kids, making cookies or whatever can be hygge too.
The reason Copenhagen is so close to Sweden is because all of Southen Sweden is historically Denmark, so in the old days Copenhagen was in the middle of Denmark. Denmark lost southen Sweden in 1658, as spoils of war to Sweden. Denmark and Sweden are the 2 countries in recorded history whom have been at war with eachother the most times, but we have been at peace for 200 years now. All of Norway was part of the danish kingdom too, but we lost that to Sweden in 1814, (again spoils of war), Norway gained independence from Sweden in 1905, and chose a danish Prince as their king.

We LOVE that there is a word for that feeling and honestly it's our new favorite word because what a wonderful feeling hygge is 🥲 and WOW we had no idea about the history between Denmark and Sweden. Thank you so much for sharing this 💕

Not all are happy and shine, you people are young, but as a Dane that are almost 50 years old and my family tree is from 1700 I can tell you guys that’s a lot good ways to see Copenhagen really cheap and more beautiful places to see in just the normal tourist crap , there is a lot of free things to see in town
U can buy a public transport ticket that’s last around 74 hours or longer that have most of the zones
I see so many Copenhagen, tourist videos, and most of you guys are making the same mistakes. Maybe I need to be a
Tourist guide or make videos about or how what to do and want to avoid.

the issue with metro ticket, you just buy a ticket, thats it. you dont buy something to buy the metro ticket.

  • @TorbenL1965

About the train ticket and the fine.
I don't know if you made more mistakes than you are telling us, but it is strange to be fined if you actually bought a ticket.
Everything in Denmark is digitalised, so from the receipt it should be easy to find the ticket online, and then - no fine. Maybe you just met a person with a bad attitude 😉

    • @LoveItTherePod
      @LoveItTherePod  Месяц назад

Seems like the receipt should have been fine, so you must be right about the attitude or that something else went wrong haha 😅

They are called Vikes, we are in the in biggest Viking capital as you say, a lot of viking-lanes to go viking on. yes and do not on one stand on one when somebody comes viking against you some carry axes or we will use our little viking bell.......bing bing.
Look Mom! im viking without hands🤣
Yeah i agree Budda is pest, like the boyfriend said
i could add Bakken in Klampenborg north of Copenhagen, also an amusement park placed in a little forest filled with deer, no fences and therefore free to enter, a horse carriage, mormon-style will bring you straight there.
There's also "Den Gamle By" (The Old Town) in Århus, a 17th-18th century vibe there, tourist friendly, in winter it feels like a charles dickens christmas place.
But yeah... no wrong or right way to do Denmark, just priorities, as one can get from the end of country to the place longest away in 6-7 hours or less.
Thx girls, happy pod, happy dane laughing along

We have the worst drinking water in the Nordics, try drinking water in Finland, then you will think drinking water in Denmark is sewer water. Full of pesticides, chemicals and lime.
