The thing I love most about this first portion of the game is how insanely broken you can make anything. I've seen so many different busted strategies and each one is so unique and fun. Really is cool seeing people experiment, figure out how to break the system, and then just start steam rolling lmao
infinite gek strat: put fecundity on a gek and you'll just keep getting more of them, then you get a 2 or 3 cost fecundity sigiled card, and the ouroborus and you have an unbeatable stack
The strat that got me through Act 1 was having an upgraded Urayuli with Corpse Eater and Unkillable Sigils and spamming squirrels for unlimited Urayulis lmao
I think what got me through my first was a buffed as shit riversnapper, a ton of player cards, and a squirrel totem with triple blood on sacrifice. Oh and +2 health Adder. Literally One-shot the final Leshy boss, it was hysterical.

I feel bad Charlie’s chat was being so awful to him during the whole steam and the chat (that have probably not played the game yet) told him to sacrifice child 13 on the goat skull alter and the reason was child 13 has a digit for when it is sacrificed it doesn’t die but any sigil only works while in a game. Child 13 is also just a really good card in general because every time you sac them they change form to a 2-1 card and when you sac it again it changes back to 0-1
I know that this has been said by everyone but I cant stress enough how perfectly executed every single part of this game is, as well as how its able to leave my jaw dropped multiple times. Easy GOTY and one of my favourite games ever made easily

Lots of story elements get missed in what he said is the "ARG elements". Play it yourself if possible or even just watch an actual playthrough from other youtubers.

Heads up, the devs are working on an addon called Kaycee'e mod which expands this section of the game vastly with more bosses, events, characters, and a planned finale. It's in an open beta right now but if you really liked this section of the game, it might be worth checking back on in a month or two.

@@matthewalvarez3799 The story of Inscryption is split up in 3 Acts, which all have a completely different art style and have a different way to play the card game. Every act adds a couple of new mechanics, and starting at act 2, there are a bunch of new characters and you can start to see some lore. Charlie has only played act 1 currently.

This game is a work of art and genius, i watched Jack play it, mark play it, and now charlie, just so people know, this game is extremely surprising and i would recommend markipliers videos of it as he is still playing it and going through it all.
actually, a youtuber called ManlyBadassHero had arguably THE BEST playthrough out of everyone. Guy picked up on the game mechanics fast as hell. Had even one of the best death cards ever made too! I recommend watching him too very much.
Inscyrption was my indie GOTY. One of the few games I had played last year that really delivered on the game play and atmosphere perfectly. If Charlie's video even remotely interested you, give the game a try. Its 100% worth it.

i once got a set up so insanely broken it was crazy, a moose card that could attack twice did 7 damage and had 14 health, as well as a totem that made it so a squirrels sacrifice would count as 3 a card that let me search through my deck for any card which i used to place the moose and instantly win
Two tips to inscription 1. First, always try to get the “worthy sacrifice” totem, and combine it with the squirrel head. It’s SO busted. Or, search. Second: get 2 or 3 pelts, get the mantis god, and something with 3 or more attack, then die. If you’re lucky, you can use the pelt for cost (free) the mantis god for sigil, and the buffed wolf for attack. You know have a card that can single phase any opponent and give you 3 gold teeth extra.
The first area will always be my favorite. I always intentionally kept myself there because of just how good it was compared to the others, which lacked the sort of DM-Style feel and heart that they put into it.
i did the same start as charlie did with the bees, but with ants instead, and i had the totem that made me draw an ant with each squirrel, and had a king mantis with ouroboros and trifuricate.

The thing I love most about this first portion of the game is how insanely broken you can make anything. I've seen so many different busted strategies and each one is so unique and fun. Really is cool seeing people experiment, figure out how to break the system, and then just start steam rolling lmao
infinite gek strat: put fecundity on a gek and you'll just keep getting more of them, then you get a 2 or 3 cost fecundity sigiled card, and the ouroborus and you have an unbeatable stack
The strat that got me through Act 1 was having an upgraded Urayuli with Corpse Eater and Unkillable Sigils and spamming squirrels for unlimited Urayulis lmao
I think what got me through my first was a buffed as shit riversnapper, a ton of player cards, and a squirrel totem with triple blood on sacrifice. Oh and +2 health Adder. Literally One-shot the final Leshy boss, it was hysterical.

@@paris-ml1gy one of the best things to get is a totem that has unkillable squirrel, it s basically a free cat, but even better cause you can realistically throw down as much as you like, and summon anything, lol, second best is the three blood squirrel totem.
Theres a few strategies that really break the game, but this game is awesome .

Tbh, I enjoyed the first part of the game so much. Now i'm playing through the second half and I'm not gonna lie, it's worse than the first part imo.
I feel bad Charlie’s chat was being so awful to him during the whole steam and the chat (that have probably not played the game yet) told him to sacrifice child 13 on the goat skull alter and the reason was child 13 has a digit for when it is sacrificed it doesn’t die but any sigil only works while in a game. Child 13 is also just a really good card in general because every time you sac them they change form to a 2-1 card and when you sac it again it changes back to 0-1
If the chat has "not played the game yet" then they can't be "awful", just mistaken.

Lots of story elements get missed in what he said is the "ARG elements". Play it yourself if possible or even just watch an actual playthrough from other youtubers.

Oh for sure. Half way through the new expansion, loving it. Little tough early on, but once you get some unlocks it smooths out.
Heads up, the devs are working on an addon called Kaycee'e mod which expands this section of the game vastly with more bosses, events, characters, and a planned finale. It's in an open beta right now but if you really liked this section of the game, it might be worth checking back on in a month or two.

What are the other 2/3rds?
@@matthewalvarez3799 The story of Inscryption is split up in 3 Acts, which all have a completely different art style and have a different way to play the card game. Every act adds a couple of new mechanics, and starting at act 2, there are a bunch of new characters and you can start to see some lore. Charlie has only played act 1 currently.

This game is a work of art and genius, i watched Jack play it, mark play it, and now charlie, just so people know, this game is extremely surprising and i would recommend markipliers videos of it as he is still playing it and going through it all.

love how they both consistently change the formula.
Inscyrption was my indie GOTY. One of the few games I had played last year that really delivered on the game play and atmosphere perfectly. If Charlie's video even remotely interested you, give the game a try. Its 100% worth it.
This was one of those games that i really put hours into and im not regretting it at all. Just an amazing game overall

i once got a set up so insanely broken it was crazy, a moose card that could attack twice did 7 damage and had 14 health, as well as a totem that made it so a squirrels sacrifice would count as 3 a card that let me search through my deck for any card which i used to place the moose and instantly win
Two tips to inscription 1.
First, always try to get the “worthy sacrifice” totem, and combine it with the squirrel head. It’s SO busted. Or, search.
Second: get 2 or 3 pelts, get the mantis god, and something with 3 or more attack, then die. If you’re lucky, you can use the pelt for cost (free) the mantis god for sigil, and the buffed wolf for attack. You know have a card that can single phase any opponent and give you 3 gold teeth extra.
The first area will always be my favorite. I always intentionally kept myself there because of just how good it was compared to the others, which lacked the sort of DM-Style feel and heart that they put into it.
If you download kaycees mod you can be playing it with some lore and some challenges

i did the same start as charlie did with the bees, but with ants instead, and i had the totem that made me draw an ant with each squirrel, and had a king mantis with ouroboros and trifuricate.

"Inscryption" and Charlie's horror game series have been my two obsessions for the past like week this is awesome.

I agree. I know a lot of people enjoy that aspect, but honestly I just wanted a rogue-like card game, which I still received. No complaints honestly, especially since there’s the Kaycee’s Mod thing you can apply. I think that part allows both groups to be happy
