      Science is simply Observation of facts, of data... of reality...
      gods do NOT exist ... if that is what you are implying...

    Dr Hutchinson's distinction between science and scientism is critically important.

    How is it that scientists can use as humans there subjective mind to create purpose and meaning But they deny the logic to use that type of information to prove God. Except to say “god would not create evil so there can’t be god” I guess that is the enlightened modern reasoning.

    Presumed authority leads to smugness. Then smugness closes your mind because you have all the answers, right?
    The Parable of the mustard seed - NKJV -
    Mar 4:30 Then He said, "To what shall we liken the kingdom of God? Or with what parable shall we picture it?
    Mar 4:31 It is like a mustard seed which, when it is sown on the ground, is smaller than all the seeds on earth;
    Mar 4:32 but when it is sown, it grows up and becomes greater than all herbs, and shoots out large branches, so that the birds of the air may nest under its shade."
    As you can see this is a parable. Not Jesus stating that a mustard seed is the smallest but an analogy for the gospel being spread and the church growing. How many other "facts" have you taken out of context?

      Oh the magical wizard was just giving an example, so for sure he is the magical creator of the universe who is his own dad and passive aggressive battles a half goat fire sorcerer, over the ghost that operates me like a meat puppet.. 😉

      Being a Muslim familiar with the Quran, I felt this contention with an obvious parable from the Bible was un-reasonable. Parables exist! Humans use parables to communicate. Parables ARE knowledge.
      This exposes an epistemic presupposition of modern empiricism (scientism); literalism. It’s a type of rigidity of thought and reason which inhibits abstraction (and presumable inference too).

    Science is one thing, scientists are another thing. Science is what it is and can be discovered, scientists can be wrong and can't have the ultimate answers. Its utterly wrong to compare science itself with a scientist
