    The cabin seems perfectly fine for two people but I certainly wouldn't want to share with more, not even for 4 nights.
    Good that you were able to get away with the family and have fun on the first cruise after such a long break.

      I agree with you Angela. We DID survive, but it's not something we'd make a habit of doing. I'd rather pay the extra and bung them in another room! 😂

    Hi you two cruise mates ;-) thanks for sharing, great infos.
    We are a family of five and also stayed in an inside cabin. It was however not bad. It was even less stressy. A balcony cabin would stress us up with the three small kids. The cost saving lead as well to an extension of the cruise trip ;-)

    Amazing to think that when I started cruising in 1989 on the SS Norway I would cruise with 3 other grown adult women (my fellow teachers from the school I worked at) & we cruised in an inside cabin with 2 sets of bunk beds (truly 2 lower berths & 2 upper berths)! Somehow we made it work. The taller women took the upper bunks, me & my shorter friend had lower beds (we got one of those good deals - 3rd & 4th passengers free with 2 paying passengers - and we’d split the cost 4 ways)! We did find out that on formal nights (and sometimes after shore excursions) 2 in the group would go to the spa shower room - so we could all get properly showered & shampooed before donning our clean dresses - it all worked out! And even though we cruised as a group - we did independent things too - 2 of us liked getting up early & walking around the sports track & having a little breakfast- 2 preferred sleeping in - and we’d all meet for lunch! My friends enjoyed lying by the aft pool on the sun loungers & reading - I preferred being inside the atrium in the a/c (or maybe taking a little nap)!
    I would always get my clothing ready for the next day the night before & would quietly go into the bathroom & get dressed - leave the cabin with my tote bag & head up to the buffet for my morning cup of tea! I liked the quietness of the ships in the morning - maybe I’d read a book or just do some people watching. In the evening we had set dinner time (usually early dining) & then we’d all go see the theater show - after that some of the girls went to the casino or the lounges to listen to the live music - I usually went to the cabin - took my shower & got ready for bed - but found that I couldn’t sleep until I knew the other 3 were back in the cabin for the night - but it all worked out ok - we did a lot of cruising on Princess & had a lot of closet space & drawers & we could store some of the suitcases under the 2 lower beds. After about 5 years of doing that - the 2 taller girls were getting too old to be climbing to the upper berths (especially after one of my friends almost hurt herself going down the ladder late at night) & we started getting 2 cabins - next to each other! I didn’t get an ocean view cabin until I had been cruising for about 10 years & shortly after that I found out about the joys of having a balcony cabin!!
    Amazing that you were able to spend 4 days in a cabin with 2 adult children - but it was a very special cruise - so exciting for all of the 1,000 passengers on that ship!

    I really get the point about storage space when traveling with 3, or 4- people. Don't you just really dislike a safe that can't fit a Macbook (sleeping on zero battery)?

    Brilliant video, such fun commentary liked ✔ subscribed✔ in a panic ✔ 4 of us sharing in June & this looks far too compact. Are there actual sofa beds available? I wasnt happy about the idea of me being on sofa bed and the 2 kids in the main beds split into twin but after seeing this I'll gladly take a sofa for 5 nights over the bunk bed its taking up the view! And just doesn't look pretty does it 😭 our cabins important to us as my daughter has a medical condition which means she'll spend alot of time resting in the cabin hence upgrading to fantastica balcony for daylight fresh air & roomservice for her. How can I makesure I dont get one of these?

    hi were you allowed an iron onboard . if not was there a laundry room onboard to iron your clothes

    • @visitwithus
      @visitwithus  3 года назад

      My guess is you would NOT be allowed to bring an iron on board because of the fire risk. However, we believe there are laundry facilities which may include irons, but I can't confirm for certain. :)

    • @happytraveller2122

    Four days ok but for two weeks, definitely a no no. With only a thousand passengers on a cruise ship designed to hold six thousand, you were either very brave or very foolish to bunk up with your adult children. I guess it was a cost effective experience and nice to have the family unit together.

    • @visitwithus
      @visitwithus  3 года назад +1

      There were a few monetary reasons that led us to this decision and you're right, two weeks would be asking a lot. :)

    Any cruise ship Is going to be tight with 4 people.
    Not sure what you were expecting.Maybe get 2 cabins next time if space is going to be an issue.
    Just ask your cabin steward for extra tea or coffee!
