As a lazy Englishman, I’m very mindful of our ignorance and your brilliance at speaking multiple languages, which is frankly to our disadvantage. Yes English is universal, but makes us somewhat inward looking. Very grateful that you talk our language - thank you 😊

I think English is a universal language, not everyone speaks it's fluently, but everyone can understand it with a bit of hand waving or pointing. You speak better English than some of the English I have worked with in the past,, Regional Dialect the world over. Carry on doing what you do, it's enlightenment with education to the world that is getting smaller.

I spend my life travelling the world from Europe, to Asia to the US. As an English only speaker, I've never had any problems communicating. Ultimately it's about communication and finding the right medium to communicate whether its verbal, written, pictures or hand signs etc.. As long as everyone understands each other, who cares what they speak?

    Hi Emeline,
I am so pleased you do your channel in English otherwise it may never have been suggested to me!!
I just wish I could speak French even 25% as well as you speak English, you are doing extremely well.
I know there is a huge 4x4 and Land Rover community in the UK, is there a large community in Switzerland and France?
I live in England, originally born in London, now live in sunny Colchester….the home of Boudicca (AKA Boo), my Landys namesake 😇
You should organise a Landy meet up in Switzerland, we could all bring our Landys in the ski season, what a fantastic video that would make!!!
    Kind regards

I agree 100%, I'm Italian and I speak "acceptable" English and it makes it quite easy for me to understand the videos that I really like and inspire some modifications to my car or see who has done them in an alternative way! I can confirm that for me English is already sometimes complicated with technical terms for example the "baffles" of the water tank I called them internal bulkheads and I didn't know the term, if everything had been described in French I think that I would have lost another 50% of the understanding of the video with the related "headache"... Ciao Ciao!!! Perches non siete della svizzera italiana era tutto più semplice?!?! 😅😁

Fact is if you want to reach a larger audience than just your local language one you need an english language channel. Many non english speaking You-tubers have tried to have more than one channel, one english one local and have found that this is not managable, so had to choose which way to go. I know channels that have chosen to go back to just local , or stick with only english.

This seems to be a particularly French "sensitivity" ? I watch other channels where a couple may speak their own language sometimes during a basically english video and have not seen that these channels get criticized for this, or not completely making the video, in their native langauge. e.g. LR time , Lewie and the Rover, many sailing channels from all over.
