Honestly, the TIEs and other fighters act nothing like they do in the movies or books and are, if I'm remembering right, exceeding their design parameters. In addition, the defensive fire from the Star Destroyer, which is not done automatically but is instead done by manned stations, is too accurate. I'm beginning to think some rabid Star Wars fanboy designed these fighters and intentionally ignored their canonical specs to make them OP in this.

So…star destroyers can’t fly over shallow water because of a draft issue, does this mean they have a simulated hull on the water underneath them that can’t be seen but still needs the right water depth? Is that why you don’t seem to be able to hit it with ship launched anti ship missiles, because they are trying to lock onto the invisible hull on the water underneath it?
Might have been interesting to see what would have happened if a few battleships (Wisconsin, New Jersey, Iowa and Missouri) had been thrown into the mix. In addition to being retro-fitted to fire missiles, their nine 16-inch gun broadsides would have been a sight to see.
Good luck getting people that can operate a WW2 era battleship. That said, battleships are so cool and I want to see them blowing up star destroyers. That's a very weird thing to say out of context.

Fyi: the standard Imperial star destroyer housed 72 tie fighters. Many of these were upgraded to the Tie Interceptor. 12 Tie Bombers. They had 24 At-Ats. Each could hold 40 troops and 5 biker scouts. They also held 12 At-St's (the scout walkers), and several shuttles. A Tie Fighters had 2 light lasor canons and could do about 1012 miles per hour atmosphereric. Tie Interceptor had 4 m. Lasor canons, and 2 light lasor canons, they did about 1275 mph atmospheric and had better maneuverability and scanars/radars.
17:31 its not really your internet connection that matters, its your computer's CPU which has to calculate all the processes going on inside the battle. Every movement by a missile launched and every ground vehicle is being calculated by your CPU and your GPU is also under a lot of stress as well.
The scary part would be the immediate aftermath with all the world's superpower nations forces sharing that small a space. Orsen Scott Card wrote about something like that happening.

You need a-10s and me 163s. The a10s have the killing power and the me 163s while small and limited rocket fuel, have deadly 30mm cannons and will just be a pain in the arse to deal with.
I love that every sci-fi baddie has huge ships armed with superweapons. Note to any future potential galactic villians: if you have the ability to travel between planets at anything close to and/or over the speed of light, forget the planet killing lasers. Grab a nice dense rock or bit of metal, throw it at Earth at a few percent of the speed of light. Declare victory. Take a long weekend, your work is done.

Because most servers heavily reduce it, more than likely for performance and playability reasons.

Yo! You guys need to do a full-on cinematic movie based on this premise: A crashed spaceship/mothership begins deploying fighters and ground forces. Due to political infighting as well as EMP strikes at military superpowers the only ones capable of responding are a ragtag group of misfit pilots operating surplus aircraft who decide to take matters into their own hands and strike back lest the Earth befall a worse fate.
I’ve just got my first flight stick and also bought Arma3 and Have DCS though recovering from surgery this week, I would love to join in a total novice on either, I didn’t know but I got my DCS and Arma 3 from steam mostly because I thought it more secure, but will that mean I will not be able to use free additional aircraft even basic control versions from the DCS website community content?
I would definitely be more terrified of a star destroyer, than a "city" destroyer. A city destroyer sounds like a B-29, not a Sith Lord's vehicle intent on scarring a planet into capitulation...

While the sci fi trope of raiding earth for its minerals is stupid, because you can find more elsewhere, far easier, its still amusing.
