- The bharatanatyam dance is a tribute to Lord Ganesha, the elephant-headed Hindu deity revered as the remover of obstacles. "Sri Vighna Rajam Bhaje" is an 18th century composition expressing
reverence and devotion to Lord Ganesha, seeking his blessings and protection.
The opening lines, "Sri Vighna Rajam Bhaje" convey the devotee's act of surrendering to and praising the divine while poetically describing Ganesha's form and attributes, including his elephant head, his vehicle (the mouse), and his role as the remover of obstacles and bestower of success.

Elegant choreography, beautiful dancing in a picturesque setting - Bharatha Natyam off stage but masterfully delivered. A tribute to the heritage of culture and to a venerated school of dancing - Kalakshetra. Bravo!
