Noora Abdullah Do the Palestinians not have Greek roots? Your inquiry can be answered by considering the response to the above question.

The ancient greeks had traveled and had stayed for many years in Palestine and some other countries that in these years, there was just soil.

Palestinians are Cretan too. But there is no connection between these songs, apart some tune in the middle,
Lyrics are completely different, this is a traditional song about revolution, and Palestinian song is about a divorce.

Τίνος είναι η κούπα η Μονοβασιά
Tinos in i coupa i Monovasia
του καπετάν του Στέλιου του μπέη, του πασά.
tou kapetan you Steliou tou mpei tou pasa.
Πιε τη γιε μου, πιε τη και ξαναγέμισέ τη
Pie ti gie mou, pie ti kai xanagemise ti
και δως στο γείτονά σου που κάθεται κοντά σου.
kai dos sto gitona sou pou kathete konta sou.
      Ας την ανεβάσουμε στα επουράνια
      As tin anevasoume sta epourania
κι ας την κατεβάσουμε στα καταχθόνια.
ki as tin katevasoume sta katahthonia.
Δως της μια να πάει κάτω
Dos tis mia na pai kato
για να βρει η κορφή τον πάτο.
gia na vri (i) korfi ton pato.....
      Φίλισέ την κι από κάτω!
      Filipe tin ki apo kato.

What country is this music from? Greece?

  • @howsermd
    @howsermd 17 лет назад

Yes. But every region of the country has its own style of music so this video would not be an accurate example of Greek music as a whole, but rather an island of the Dodekanese group.

Are those some Romanian minority since you mentioned Karpathia which is a mountain in Romania, or just simply Greeks?

  • @plant171

@radu2009 We have not any relation with your nation or your ancestors , we are older in this place , before your appearance in history .You are roman - dacian race but we are clear Greeks so do not look for our roots in tracia and anywhere else .
