hahaha my thoughts exactly. finally someone who has the wit to bring car keys with them WHEREVER THEY GO, even if they just got out of bed to have a "BEER" they bottle themselves in the middle of the night.
Thanks Bangtango! Yes the film was on a zero dollar budget but we're hoping to get some funds for new shorts coming up! The camera we used was a GH4 (not a great low light camera) but it's small form factor really helped with the first person perspective here.
Honestly the scariest part was seeing the blond lady at the mirror of the car. That was so scary for me. Loved this film so much. You have to make more if they're this good I loved it. However the spooky thing up close wasn't all that scary, that's just my opinion, but it makes up for it from a far. The tinniest detail was noticeable. I didn't even know the entity was going to pop up so soon. That's something new on the table and I crave it. Good luck with your creative mind
did anyone else catch all the times the ghost girl appeared onscreen? the doorway, the mirror, while he was drinking beer, and among the toys in the other room (im pretty sure i still missed a couple)
Decent stuff, jumpscares are hard to appreciate though. What I liked the most is that you can see the intruder in the mirror when walking down the hallway. Subtle, but effective.
+Justin Beatley What part are you talking about? What time in the video? I couldn't spot it and I'm pretty sure i can't sleep peacefully without knowing.
Plot Twist: This was just a girl that ran away from home, she was really pale because she had not eaten for a really long time, the white dress was one of the only things she had, she played the record because she was curious, and she was following the MC to ask them if they could stay there for the night, so they would be safe from the storm. The car ran out of battery by accident sheer coincidence, and the MC forgot to charge the car battery.
Yes! Keep up the good work! I loved this idea and how well it was implemented. The music, first person point of view, and the character's actuate reactions really made it for me. Well done, my friend. You have a lot of potential.
I love the fact you established he has been living on his own for a while and he did what ever he wanted. With no one to say, "Your going to drink bear now with Ice? and why did you drink from the bottle anyway?" etc. The false jumpscare set me up to almost punching my screen. Even tho he ran out the door and for some reason had the car keys on him and ran to the car and not in his room or down the street. That seemed to be the more logical choice . Yet he was still screwed, loved it. Well done. Yes this is a long post deal with it lol
Tiny Tim can make anything scary. Great short 😀 Also, thank you for not adding loud noise/dun dun music everytime to let me know something scary is there.
Ok I think I peed myself lmao! 😂😂 I'm lying in bed in the dark with headphones on and I jumped so many times😱😱😱 👐👐 👏 LOVED IT! IM GIVING YOU... A 10 OUTTA 10 I'm now subscribed to your channel!
During art lesson, my teacher showed this video and scared like 80% of the class. When they screamed, I started laughing like crazy. It didn't really scared me cuz I'm not easily scared and I love horror, but everyone else in the class was so scared. One of them was so scared she almost cried.
Fantastic job! This has very good direction, why aren't more filmmakers like you hired more!? Great choice on song, I will forever associate that voice with horror now! lol. Good job.
Thanks! That's a huge compliment! I've tried to direct commercial work and have been close a few times but in the end I never get the job. I haven't had a shot yet. But I want it bad! Hopefully I'll get my shot someday!
The Willies. I have no doubt a big break will come to you, I just think of the guy who made the Lights Out short, that will be you someday. Keep up the good work, and you're welcome!
Oh there was so much suspense! I love how you made us realize that there is someone out for him when he is drinking the beer, but he doesnt realize this. This makes us very suspenseful and filled with anticipation as he is more confused than worried. The monster itself doesnt look so scary, but i did like how his face was completely blank. Not showing what his intentions are, leaving it up to our imaginations, and humans tend to inagine the worst possible things I actually let out a yell when the light shone on the cardboard cutout haha. Good film!
I think I figured out Blackout. I don't think he was dumped I think she died in a car crash he caused. The biggest hint is the title Blackout which can happen when your drunk and you see him drinking beer not longer before the blackout of the house. The first thing he does is run to the car even though he shouldn't be driving since he was drunk.
Lights go out- get a little uneasy. Tiny Tim starts playing for no reason- THAT'S when you just jump straight to "Peace out." I'll be honest; I figured there would be something there when he closed the phonograph, but my heart still twitched when the creature was unveiled. Thanks. 👍👍
He tried to do the right thing by driving away... poor guy. I really liked this, even though he stirred the beer with his unwashed finger...lol. Great job.
My #1 fear Your sitting in your living room and its dark watching tv, then an emergency broadcast comes on with that creepy alarm infront of it saying there will be a tornado in your area Then the tv shuts off making it completely dark 0_0
Absolutely LOVED this one. The 1st person perspective is a welcome change! Little glimpses of the evil far away throughout was just enough of a teaser. Sure, the whole beer thing probably wasnt the best choice (ice, open bottles) BUT I can EASILY overlook that when everything else was impeccable! WELL DONE! Hope you make more like this. Eagerly awaiting the next....
Very creepy and well-shot, with pretty... realistic actions by a protagonist. I especially liked watching it all from the protagonist's perspective, scary. Keep up the good work.
Okay, gotta admit I didn't expect much from this yet I was gladly proven wrong. While it isn't the number one scariest Indie horror film, it does things right in certain areas. For example, the hidden ghost girl amongst the various shots that I didn't see the first time around was everything besides the blatant shows such as while he drank the beer and when they properly revealed her in full view. Yet I was caught off guard when I saw someone point out other locations she appeared in, like the hallway mirror and deep in the back room of the music area as well. Yet the special effects do need a bit of work on, although for an Indie film that is obviously passable, and in fact even a bit of subtlety instead of 'fully fledged scary monster CGI' did this short film well. Overall I would give this a solid eight out of ten- nothing too flashy while holding on to a decent build up. Keep up the good work!
Question, is the ghost girl, the one in the black and white, and the normal looking ghost girl in the car mirror, are they both played by the same actor? Also, are they the same person
10/10 that guy isn't stupid, and he ran. he didn't just hide under a towel or something.
hahaha my thoughts exactly. finally someone who has the wit to bring car keys with them WHEREVER THEY GO, even if they just got out of bed to have a "BEER" they bottle themselves in the middle of the night.
But... but...
He poured beer into a glass and then drank from the bottle.
Well he walked over to the music so he is stupid, if I were him I’d been gone the moment the power went out
@@yoursleepparalysisdemon1828 he also put ice with the beer nasty
EpiC Cookie or at least once the music turned on.
3:35 Dammit, Charlie Chaplin!
That's exactly what I said!
***** Haha. He scared the shit out of me for a second.
That’s exactly what I thought 💭!!!
U just made me throw my laptop
my favorite brand of beer...beer
john yale lol
Maybe it was homemade?
Maybe it was a nod to Repo Man.
Simpson17866 it's actually moonshine
Dustin Petersen
Poured beer into glass then drank out of bottle?
John Scardina logic
John Scardina well, who'd drink beer with ice in it????
he used it for a chaser I think
You noticed that too huh? Well nothing was right about how he drank that beer! That "Beer" beer!
That's a Jim lahey move right there
Tiny Tim= automatically terrified. Great fucking job!!!!
great settings, the camera work was amazing BUT.... the "ghost"/"creature" was a bit low-budget, but heck, it did scare the crap out of me. Kudos!
Thanks Bangtango! Yes the film was on a zero dollar budget but we're hoping to get some funds for new shorts coming up! The camera we used was a GH4 (not a great low light camera) but it's small form factor really helped with the first person perspective here.
The Willies yeah, one has to start somewhere, and you have a knack for POV filming, it seems. keep it up!
The whole time I was thinking about spongebob.
Aries Leo me too 😂
"WEE WOO WEE WOO!"
I can’t find that song scary because of SpongeBob
Loved this video! I had to send this to Cory Kenshin! Much love!
Who else here jumped when the flashlight lit up the Charlie Chaplin cutout? lol
Philip Thompson me
meeeeeee☹
911 Response I didn’t jump I screamed
Mèeeeeee
Meeeeeeeee😂😂😂
I got more scared when she poured the beer in the glass, put ice cubes in it and then drank from the bottle.
How do you know they are a she??
@@beautifulrose6233 it’s a he

You guys really did an awesome job with this! True horror fun!
This is the first scary movie I've seen yet where the person actually runs out of the house after seeing a ghost. Smart move buddy
THANK YOU!
"Gets killed after doing something stupid" is nowhere near as scary as "gets killed despite doing everything right" :D
Been watching horror shorts all day and this was the first one to make me scream out loud not even once, but twice. Very well done!! Love it!
did anyone else catch all the times the ghost girl appeared onscreen? the doorway, the mirror, while he was drinking beer, and among the toys in the other room (im pretty sure i still missed a couple)
Mac the Hunter I did I think you got them all
Mac the Hunter I got the mirror and while he was drinking. I missed the doorway one though, I'll have to go back and check that.
How did I not notice that!?
Kilarth MAC and the picture when in the photo frame in the beginning
lightning flash at 2:05
Dude that scared the life out of me man. That was such a good horror film dude keep up the awesome content my guy because this video was fire!
Decent stuff, jumpscares are hard to appreciate though.

Tiny Tim can make anything scary.
Great short 😀
Also, thank you for not adding loud noise/dun dun music everytime to let me know something scary is there.
"Beer" my favorite brand!
lmao
It looks like a minimalist Beer brand that you'll only see at gentrified hipster areas and College campuses.
Would drink it, ngl...
This is one of the most atmospheric and scary short films ever!
The scariest part about this…
….Is he leaves his bottles of beer open in the fridge. That is going to be flat as hell.
3:48 WAS THAT SONG IN SPONGEBOB!!!!
Yep, 1999 spongebob💯👏🏼
isaac pagan yea but in a horror movie to
Can you give me that name of song ? i can find it on net !!! Thanks

This should have so many more views omg this is one of the very few short horror films on here that actually made me jump and scream lol. great work!!

Feels like I'm watching a scary howtobasic video because of the POV. Great film btw!!

The Willies what is this Song the Name
Marius und. I think it's called Tiptoe Through the Tulips. It was also in the movie Insidious.
Renegade Hero it's not Tip Toe but it is the same artist Tiny Tim.
I really love this style of filming. It makes you feel like you're actually in the film and bot just watching it.
The real horror is the ice cubes in the beer
Probably the most scary short horror film!
This was honestly the best first person horror video I’ve found. The ending scared me because I didn’t expect it. This is great though!!(:
I'm a big fan of short horror films like these and this one was really well done! 👍
Spongebob? You there?
Seriously, I thought it was awesome. Keep up the good work!

good job. I've always felt POV is a great and underused story telling device. - cg
Hey man grab me a beer!

Uhhhh idk just beer.
Guy in the video: P E R F E C T
You are right the past will never forget...Thank you for this one, it was good!
Buddy you nailed it, Chaplain did the first move and the rest is history.
This was a very entertaining short film. The scene where he not only ran out the house, but to the car was extremely hilarious! LMAOOOOOOO!!!!

This is the most realistic horror story and it actually scared me. 10/10 props. (PS I don't get scared that often with horror things.)
Immediately thought of SpongeBob when I first heard this song.(The episode when he first works at the Krusy Krab)
WOW, great job, so scary. You are very talented, hope to see more scary films from you.
amazing job with this short! the second time the show shows up it was very scary, great acting, very creepy house, loved the idea!

He tried to do the right thing by driving away... poor guy. I really liked this, even though he stirred the beer with his unwashed finger...lol. Great job.
That scares me shitless. Great job. I love the thunder sound and of course the jumpscare.
Scary..... make a full-length one!!
great use of atmosphere, not too many jumpscares, perfect horror movie formula
this was amazing I got scared wich made me happy because it was a great video. keep the good work. And hope your channel gets huge!
I like how real this scene. Even the ford has its check engine light on.
Fantastic atmosphere! The playing of the old fashioned phonograph reminded me of the original movie The Evil Dead. Two Thumbs up!

like oh my gosh this is the first scary like the first actual scary short horror film I've ever seen

this was beautifully shot tbh
Like it! P.S: I don't watch it fullscreen but it still get me at least 4 jumpscares
This was really amazing!!!!! Really had me scared but still attentive, even for it being 9pm and everyone is asleep.
Very creepy and well-shot, with pretty... realistic actions by a protagonist. I especially liked watching it all from the protagonist's perspective, scary. Keep up the good work.
I enjoyed this short film a lot nice work!!!
wow this was terrific! and terrifying! genuine scares are far better than jumpscares, and this film did not make the wrong choice
The scariest thing about this video is him putting ice in beer.
This is underrated this is so cool even jacksepticeye watched this i love this the darkness of it it even is a POV please get more viewers
That was awsome!
Actually got really scared/ freaked out
am I the only one who doesn't find that song creepy? I love it.
I_Dropped_It what's the name of the song?
Serpent 666 "living in the sunlight, lovin in the moonlight "
I_Dropped_It Thank you :]
Serpent 666 np
I like your film. My favorite bits would have to be the Charlie Chaplin one and the rear view mirror shot. Well done.
This short film definitely made me jump and gave me the chills...👍👍👍.

That Tiny Tim part kind of reminded me of that one scene in Insidious. It wasn’t the same song but it still reminded me of it.

It reminded my of P.T. Good work!
Wow, this is pretty much perfect O.o
Here from Coryxkenshin, and this shit scared the SHIT out of me, also, this guy is so much smarter than any horror movie character EVER
Awesome work guys! Keep making movies ;)
*pours a glass of beer, drop 1 cube off ice and says fuck it I'm drinking straight from the bottle*
scary as hell. :3 good job!
Question, is the ghost girl, the one in the black and white, and the normal looking ghost girl in the car mirror, are they both played by the same actor? Also, are they the same person
Oh crap. I screamed twice in my car in a food store parking lot. People thought I was stung by a bee. 😣 this is a good one.
The Charlie Chaplin cutout scene scared the hell out of but i laughed afterwards
Pretty good! Love the first person view made it more personal hahaha
Best short flim I had ever watched till now
"drops ice cubes in beer" ok he deserves what is coming to him
