We Made it to South America with our Bluelandy // EP.66

- After more than 1,5 years we have arrived in South America. Our first stop Uruguay, where we picked our bluelandy at the port of Montevideo. But things will not go as planned and the start will be the opposite of smooth.
First, the the batteries were down, because they were not disconnected during the container loading and second one of the straps snapped and the car was loose during the shipping. We will need to keep an eye on both problems, to avoid future damage.
After or not so not-so-successful start, we decided to travel along the coast of Uruguay, towards the East. But we are not lucky with the weather. Visiting Punta del Este, Punta Ballena, Laguna de Rocha, and next to Cabo Polonio.
We get constant rain and big storms over us, I guess it is normal for winter in Uruguay, but we are not used to it after many months in summer-like weather.

Ah yes, weather looks rainy and chilly in Uruguay but no doubt will begin to warm up as October-November arrives in the Southern Hemisphere.
Good to see you reunited with Bluelandy with no real problems from container shipping other than dead batteries (and the cactus wondering what happened). 😂

It was really chilly, not so great to be back in the bluelandy with that kind of weather 😵 the batteries, ufff we need to replace them they are giving us headaches, wait for the next episode to understand more...
We were lucky and the Landy didn't move much and destroyed the land cruiser and motorbikes inside.
Regarding the visit, we got a business card on our windshield and we couldn't resist. From here it's not actually strictly north, we will do a big looped around beautiful Argentina and then up Chile ✌️
@@Thebluelandy The ups and downs are common when you are on the road, I imagine. All the best to you both in the coming weeks and months as you begin to head North(ish). South America will be very exciting to explore, no doubt!

As the owner of a 1975 Toyota FJ40, I had to smile when the Land Cruiser helped you out at the port.
We tried the but the motorcycle would not pull the landy 😂
